Improbable “new research” update: a study suggests that people living in the countryside are more likely to find true love than those in the city. It claims that, in the city, 23 per cent of people tell their partner “I love you” every day, compared with 51 per cent living in the country. Yes, but if a countryman says “I love you” to his partner once every day, he is almost certainly saying the same thing to his dog 27 times, to his compost heap 14 times and his log pile eight times. And I bet he also gives his sit-on lawnmower a daily hug.

Perhaps we don't need to worry about 'scientific' research being underfunded then? wink
