This is not an alternative version of the thread about wanting a T shirt, but, apart from World Peace and seeing your grandchildren for Christmas, what would you like to be surprised with on Christmas morning?
On re-reading that, I don't expect there i anything, so let's pretend it's like Desert Island Discs and like the Bible and Shakespeare you can have WP and the DGC as standard so,what should Santa baby hurry down the chimney with .........???
To start off, I would rather like the red and white spotted version of the Cath Kidston handbag (but actually we are going to" give each other" a couple of nights away and the Ney Year's Day Viennese Gala with the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra.)

I'd like something warm and cuddly, about 6' tall with good tea making abilities!

FlicketyB Sat 17-Nov-12 18:13:43

The money for my friend in South Africa to have her teeth sorted. She's in agony most of the time but can't afford to have them seen to. We're so lucky to have the NHS

First of all gracesmum - I love that song and keep singing it since you started this thread.

I'd two things, please!

I would like a new handbag that isn't like all the other ones in my cupboard that are either too small, too big, the wrong colour or too heavy! If I could have one that is 'just right' I could then stop using the totally disreputable looking one that I have had for 20 years (at least) that I always go back to. It really is a necessity that I have a new one before this one gives up the ghost completely and I find myself walking round town leaving a trail of tissues, car parking tickets, sainsbury's receipts, paracetamol, ibuprofen and imodium tablets, pens, dog poo bags and lord knows what else. blush

The other thing I would like is something to sit on the floor, in the dark bit of the lounge, under the wall cupboard, that is currently known as the plant graveyard! I keep looking at artificial flowers, artificial plants etc and, when I have recovered from working out the price, I buy yet another plant that lasts 6 months if I'm lucky. I quite fancy one of those retro leopards but DH won't entertain the idea. So, something really striking would be nice.

Thank you very much!!

I am going to be completly materialistic and ask for an Audi TT in black but only the two seater (not the one with two small seats in back like I have)so we can go out on our own without having any company, just the two of us.How selfish am I.

I would like someone to "do" Christmas for me this year, and just be waited on hand and foot, and not even think about the washing up. Not sure it's going to happen though sad Don't get me wrong, I love Christmas, but it's always me that does it.....

A new pair of lungs for my best friend's dear husband.

annodomini Sun 18-Nov-12 16:19:00

First class travel in perpetuity.

jO5 Sun 18-Nov-12 16:23:14

I would like a voucher enabling me to send every bit of the laundry to the laundry. And it would all come up fresh, crisp and ironed, ready to put away.

The lot. Sheets, duvet covers, pants, shirts, blouses, socks. No more laundry to deal with EVER.

My biggest wish would be to have by DH back but as that is not possible then if there were no restrictions on time and travel - I would like to start the day in Australia with my mother and brother and his family (and also to nag him about not replying to my emails for the last three weeks!), then back home to a traditional Christmas lunch (prepared and cleared by someone else), then a nice brisk walk across the fields and back to a roaring fire with a nice film on TV, say White Christmas.

Smoluski Sun 18-Nov-12 16:40:52

And being totally selfish all of jo's and someone to put it away as well as somewhere to put my sons ,who has his clothes in all of my places....actually scrap that ....somewhere for my son to call home ,and who will love and respect his ginger mutt as well..if I am not being too greedyxgrin

ninathenana Sun 18-Nov-12 16:47:24

jeni I know a man that could make those shoes for you smile DH's cousin.

FlicketyB I'm with you there, as long as I don't have to travel far

The ring I saw in the jeweller's window last week, because it's gorgeous and NOT because of it's 5 figure price tag grin

AlieOxon Sun 18-Nov-12 16:47:52

Move my daughter out of the house she hates, and bring her somewhere nearer here! Or me somewhere there.....

Or an automatic floor cleaner. (ALL of them.)

jeni Sun 18-Nov-12 16:57:44

nina where is he?

Wheniwasyourage Sun 18-Nov-12 19:16:00

jeni, what a good idea about the shoes! I would like that plus someone to do the dusting and put away in the right place the things that I can't find places for.

Nelliemoser Sun 18-Nov-12 19:17:36
