Lovely morning here again - house painting going well, and out for various things to do this morning. Other half off to Amberley Museum later, so I shall have an afternoon to myself. Enjoy your day everyone.

I am staying near Cirencester and it's a glorious sunny morning with not a cloud in sight - so far........

Bez Fri 17-May-13 07:59:45

Morning - looking good here too so far. Stayed nice yesterday and we were able to sit outside for a bit - hope everyone sees some sun.

Off to work on this greyish (but fairly bright) morning on the NE coast . I need 2 days today to squash everything in that I need to do, any ideas? Happy Friday everyone. smile

Morning everyone - dull and grey and looking a lot like rain here in Cheshire. May as well carry on decorating.

Lovely sunshine here but not so warm! Suspect showers later! I am allowing myself a few minutes of virtual chat before I set myself a target of 2 hours to complete some work. Then, if it is still good outside my reward will be that I can plant up a couple of pots, sow some more seeds and do a bit of weeding!

Sunny, at the moment, in lovely Dorset but I see large black clouds. Mind you we are often surrounded by clouds whilst it's sunny in Poole Bay - my late M-I-L always said our weather is affected by the Bay and the IOW. Feeling a bit sad as my 2 little GDs were going to stay Saturday night with me, for the first time overnight, so I was really excited. However, the 18 month old has very bad chicken pox so its been cancelled. Never mind the 4 year old is spending part of her half term with her other grandparents and then with me - we all live within about 8 miles from each other. My daughter and I have plans for a 'day of fun' for her.

Oh, that is a shame. Why do these ailments always crop up at the wrong time! Look forward to your half term though * dorset*. smile

Lovely sunshine here in Manchester, although I think rain is on its way. Just off to get my hair done as my fringe is obscuring my vision. I know for some women this is a treat, but I hate going to the hairdressers and am always glad when it's over. I've been going to the same place for ages and they are very nice, but I still don't enjoy it. Once, a woman who was having a perm had a bit of a freak out, shouting 'God I hate this! First they boil your head and then they freeze it!' I know just how she felt grin

Good Afternoon...and once again, so it is. It's a glorious day. Blue sky, slightly ruffled sea, warm sunshine, banks of golden gorse and carpets of bluebells to keep us smiling all the way to Campbeltown.

So far, I've made two lots of strawberry icecream, one with cream and one with custard as DD can't remember which one it was she liked. I have just put a banana bread in the oven, had my hair done and spent 7mins on my new exercise bike! I know it's not long but remember I'm normally totally sedentary and that sent my pulse up to 120. I only managed 4 mins the first time. I'm breaking in gently. The most difficult bit is mounting and dismounting. Haven't quite worked out a good technique yet.

soop Fri 17-May-13 14:14:58

I know the feeling well, Galen...best to wear roomy knickers.

Sel Fri 17-May-13 14:21:24

You know the was just recently a thread about threads: reading the 'last hour' heading this thread here runs:

Galen So far, I've made two lots of strawberry icecream

soop I know the feeling well Galen - best to wear roomy knickers.

grin

Have now sorted out the fridge as DD is very hot on inspecting for bb dates. How can bacon be off if one day over. Kitchen floor steam cleaned. Spare bedroom tidied (all with cleaners help)
Guess what? DD,DGD and SILare coming tomorrow after they've finished viewing possible new houses to buy and temporary rental in the meantime.
I suspect living with his parents is getting a little fraught.

Good afternoon. A dull day here today, went very dark a while back, thought we were in for a storm, but it`s lightened up again now.

soop Fri 17-May-13 16:58:44

Sel I was referring to getting used to the saddle on an exercise bike. grin

soop Fri 17-May-13 16:59:51

...and mounting and dismounting without doing oneself a mischief.

Grannyeggs Fri 17-May-13 17:04:17

Soop blush

soop Fri 17-May-13 17:11:12

Grannyeggs Honest to goodness, I'm trying to be helpful. Knickers that are too tight can deter a girl from using the exercise bike. I always buy my Sloggis one size too large. At my age [old] I opt for comfort. smile

Grannyeggs Fri 17-May-13 17:15:38

I love Sloggis, they are really comfortable, I get the point soop, sorry for being facetious.grin

soop Fri 17-May-13 17:21:05

Love that word, Grannyeggs smile

Sel Fri 17-May-13 17:24:41

Ahhhhh. Now I understand soop It made me laugh though grin

soop Fri 17-May-13 17:30:41

Sel...I like the fact that you laughed. 'tis good for you. grin

soop Fri 17-May-13 17:35:42

I must say farewell. Things to do...a cat to feed and such. Enjoy the rest of the day. Will be back tomorrow. Thanks for a lovely day, GN's. smile moon
