Morning all, overcast at the moment, must listen to weather forecast, DW plans to wash today. Jungle looking good, after three trips to council tip, lo and behold I have a fence I never knew was there. Still on late shift today, so will spend most of morning on GN.smile

Good morning to you all, very bright morning here, but a lot colder than recent mornings, I am up later than usual. We had a very enjoyable few hours at the Amberley Museum yesterday - thank you Bez for the good wishes. Watching Countryfile yesterday, and volunteering during the day, reminded me how much the country depends on volunteers to do all sorts of work repairing, replacing, maintaining and generally oiling wheels, and how much pleasure so many people get from this.

Mornin'. Awaiting gardener, feeling a little grumpy because he wants to come at 9 and I would rather it was 10. Why - because when I have to wake earlier I really wake earlier and have been up since 6.30.
A little short on sleep.
I'll survive.

Have been working on stuff for a meeting on Thursday since I got up, pitting together files to take on a flash drive to the members house, to put on her computer and talk about. I haven't done this with a bigger group, but I think it will be ok!

Very foggy here but not too cold. I think that will change later in the week.

Good morning - sunny but cooler here - DH talking of closing the bedroom window - I have managed to get him to resist the temptation so early in the cooler weather! We watched Countryfile too PM the place they were at in S Wales - Blaenavon has an old tin mine which they have done up and some of the houses etc. it is also very close to Big Pit which is a real coal mine you can go down - unlike the Heritage park - it is very interesting and you do go down in one of the cages the miners used. Worth a visit if you are in that part of the country. Have lovely days everyone - washing on the go here!

Grey and dreary here. sad

We were so tired after the last of the visitors left at about 7.30 last night that we did no clearing up at all. The house, therefore, looks blinking dreadful this morning. DH has gone off to work, so guess who should be clearing up and not looking at GN. grin

Off to pick up the two eldest DGC from school this pm so I really should go and do something.

Hope you all have a great day. sunshine

Lovely day here in the north east, quite mild but we can't fool the trees because the leaves are golden brown and red.

Grey Monday here in N Bucks but that's OK as I have a load of indoor things to do (GN, FB, emails, Candy Crush.....) - no seriously and I find it hard to justify if we are having one of those "last of the Summer" glorious Autumn days!!!

PS after my "wee greet" yesterday - I feel fine again. Thank you for all your kindness , understanding and sympathyflowers

Warmed up nicely again down here - went out at 10.00 in the mist, and by 11 was far too warm! But another gift of a day, though I think it won't last.

Grey skies and a grey day. Have just read that one of my favourite racehorses of recent years, Grey Abbey died on Saturday. I spoke to his owners at Cheltenham one year and they said I could go and visit him..how I wish I had. He had a happy retirement, but not long enough. I know in the grand scheme of things this is a drop in the ocean but he gave so much pleasue to so many people sad.
