Dynamo - how does he do it?

I agree Grannyknot like your self I have never liked so called magicians, but he fascinates me, every thing he does is apparently on show, and in the open, nothing seems to be hidden from view, I love watching him

Not a clue, but I agree that he is very good!

Must admit I do really enjoy some of the magic/illusions around today. A few nights ago we watched a programme from the Apollo theatre that was all just illusionists. It was such good television, very riveting and a real "how on earth did they do that?" effect.

Did anyone else see it?

I have recorded the programme for GCs, phoenix, glad you enjoyed it. GS6 loves performing tricks (badly), but has not mastered slight of hand yet!

No phoenix but I might look for it on catch-up.

Definitely worth watching IMO, look out for the chainsaw one!

Not all the admiring crowds who cluster round him are strangers, for a start.

But absent the most recent programme I watched was him touring the informal settlements in South Africa, and I actually watched out for people who may have been in on it, but from the genuine reactions and in fact the uncertain participation of the people in the crowd, I don't think anyone had been briefed. Unless I am being really naive.

But of course I realise e.g. he couldn't have walked on the Thames. Some say that the police boat who intervened was a fake too. Also I do sometimes get the impression that there is a lot of editing.

He's just so darn good though.

My grammar is a bit off there, should be police boat that intervened (I think).

If a magician doesn't know how to deceive his audience Grannyknot, he's in the wrong business.
