This is now open for cakes and coffee and hot buttered toast. I am donating the new batch of marmalade. Enjoy.

AlieOxon Tue 21-Jan-14 14:17:27

Hi Nellie Oh yum yum. Coffee and toast please!
Ay shall recline on the chayse long for a bit.

janthea Tue 21-Jan-14 14:19:41

Oooh! What type of cakes!! Coffee walnut?

Nelliemoser Tue 21-Jan-14 14:20:49

It has to be lemon drizzle for me!

AlieOxon Tue 21-Jan-14 15:09:10

The marmalade is great.
And the tide is up now too! I shall watch the sea.

Charleygirl Tue 21-Jan-14 16:15:04

The builder never lets soop down. We can relax in comfort once more. Rory is very relaxed, as always.

soop Tue 21-Jan-14 16:24:43

Hello...again...my lovely Granspals. How kind of you to cut the ribbon and open up the extended extension, Nelliemoser I trust that you have enjoyed the Champagne cocktails. smile

AlieOxon I guess that your coffee has been laced with something special. It's good to see you reclining in such upmarket style on the chaise thingymejig. You suit it. The sea is lively. Far too cold for a quick skinny dip. wink

janthea Coffee and walnut it is. Please have another glass or two of Champagne. I have lit the virtual Aga. It's toasty in here. Move Rory off that tartan chair. He has his own blanket. In fact, he has three or four.

Tortoiseshell kitten, daughter of Rory, didn't visit at all yesterday. I'm a little concerned because she has been making up to three visits a day for food. I would hate to think of her lying injured, way deep in the forest. Had Rory not made it home to us [on the occasion he was attacked and injured] he would have died. A cat with a badly bitten foot and ear, requiring expensive antibiotics, wouldn't have been able to hunt for food.

Shall we have some Scottish music? It will have to be a CD. The handsome young piper who lives in the village is working today. Perhaps we can bribe persuade him to call in later.

Gagagran Tue 21-Jan-14 16:26:53

I can play some Scottish airs if you have a virtual piano soop?

soop Tue 21-Jan-14 16:30:26

If bags should call in, we'll ask her to entertain us. I've seen a photograph of her Scottish dancing. So graceful! Mind you, her toe needs to be better. She's had a bad time with it recently.

soop Tue 21-Jan-14 16:32:39

Gagagran Yes please. Do you know 'The Miles to Dundee?' I love it. How about 'Westering Home?'

Gagagran Tue 21-Jan-14 16:36:51

Yes I've got "Westering Home" and I'm sure I can find a few more including "The Miles to Dundee". Here goes then.....................

Any more favourites or shall I just do a medley?

(DH thinks we're all mad by the way - He just doesn't get the virtual bit!) grin

soop Tue 21-Jan-14 16:37:05

Did anyone watch Robbie Sheppard on television recently? What a treat. When MacSporran and I lived in the mobile home prior to the house build, we would listen to his radio programme and dance up and down the length of the caravan. It was the high spot of Saturday evening. grin

soop Tue 21-Jan-14 16:39:11

Gagagran Mad! Us lot! Nay! If you like, I'll ask MacSporran to have a quiet word with him.

soop Tue 21-Jan-14 16:41:58

Gagagran The piano was tuned recently. Play away!

Gagagran Tue 21-Jan-14 16:42:22

Presumably a virtual word though soop?

soop Tue 21-Jan-14 16:43:23

Naturally! wink

Nelliemoser Tue 21-Jan-14 16:51:52

Soop Indeed! Perhaps a few too many cocktails. Good job I get a lift to choir tonight. (hic)
Wolfgang Amadeus goes down well with a bit of alcohol. Gloria in excelsis, in ex-cel-el-sis Deo! Here I am in the kitchen drinking when I only went on the computer to listen to the on line practice files.

annodomini Tue 21-Jan-14 17:09:23

Couldn't manage an eightsome reel at the moment but a stately virtual Strathspey would suit me nicely. I was a good dancer in my youth!

soop Tue 21-Jan-14 17:20:06

Nelliemoser I can hear you from here!

annodomini Yes, a stately virtual Strathspey would suit me nicely. Strip the Willow is out of my league. I would finish up outside the door in next to no time. It's fun to watch real dancers [folk who know what's what and who's who and where they should be] putting their hearts and souls into it. Very entertaining. grin

soop Tue 21-Jan-14 17:23:12

Very dark and windy out there. I need to check whether or not Tortoiseshell kitten is waiting. Back soon.

soop Tue 21-Jan-14 17:28:47

Checked and still no appearance. Her food is prepared. She knows where to come when she needs us. As MacSporran says...she is a free spirit. Still can't help but fret over her welfare.

It's been a lovely day with my Granspals. I hope that you all have a peaceful evening. Please stay and enjoy the Champagne and the merry sound of Gagagran tinkling on the ivories. moon

Icyalittle Tue 21-Jan-14 21:13:39

Just popped in with a bottle of something warming to admire and toast the new extension, and to say hello. I hope all is well with everyone? Still sniffling and hacking away down here in the soggy south, but listening to Gagagran will take me back to schooldays in Moray.

glassortwo Tue 21-Jan-14 21:26:12

Oh another wing, I dont get here often enough, just a blink of an eye since the last extension. smile

AlieOxon Tue 21-Jan-14 21:30:23

Lovely day here at soop's...think there may have been a little something in my coffee though....love this Scottish music too....mmm

Goodnight everyone. moon

Gagagran Tue 21-Jan-14 21:36:30

Sorry folks - am now closing the piano lid - aching fingers after 5 hours of playing the virtual piano but I am happy to repeat tomorrow and play any requests if there are any special favourites. smile wine Cheers!

Thanks for the use of the piano soop - it's a delight to play with a lovely tone.
