It's 11.45 at night and the munchies have struck! It's either go to bed now, or give in to a large bowl of crunchy nut cornflakes, or cheese on toast, or there is a new large pork pie in the fridge that is calling me, with a bit of mustard pickle on the side. No, I shall be good and go to bed now, peckish and with just a glass of water.sad moon
What form do your munchies take?

Just sitting here munching a handful of raisins - sadly no crunchy nut cornflakes or cheese/bread in the house (pork pies were eaten last weekend though). Well done you for strength of mind - and mouth!!

If I have in any of the little samosas/pakoras from the deli counter (those that are 6 for £1 it is fatal,I will eat them hot or cold they are supposed to be a side dish when we have a curry but they never get that far !! and crisps are a no no now as they used to call me from the cupboard, and breadsticks once you start you can't stop, like you roses best thing is to go to bed with a good book (preferbably not a cookery book)

A shower, bed and a good book on my Kindle.

Charleygirl much as I love my Kindle, I can't eat it.

A small ramekin bowl of greek yoghourt topped with a tablespoonful of granola.

Most nights though, it's a mini twister lolly.

Thankfully I do not want or need to eat late at night. My problem is directly after my supper- then I fancy half a chocolate bar rather than a pear.

In the days when I worked behind a bar in a theatre when I staggered home after midnight it had to be a fried egg sandwich with HP sauce! Can't remember when I last had one now hmm

Deeda! you've gone and done it now...... I want one immediately if not sooner. smile

Charleygirl isn't odd I too want chocolate after my supper, even when I am not hungry.

I try hard not to overeat as I am a lot slimmer than I used to be and I don't want to go back to my porky self.

Most times instead of choc I have a Fox's Glacier mint and this usually staves off the need for chocolate.

Most nights I take to bed with me a satsuma, not exciting but satisfies my need for food.
