Where to hide the Christmas presents?

My husband somehow seems to sniff out everything! He's very 'helpful' in the laundry department so not even my underwear drawers aren't safe. I have NEVER been able to surprise him for birthdays and Christmas. Give me some good ideas please. Or else I won't get him anything - that'll surprise him!

Stash them in someone else'e house.

I cant tell you because I think he is lurking on here BUT he is very good at not sniffing things out- I'm the main culprit of such terrible behaviour!!

I would try the loft- mine would not be of much use as it is empty.

Under the bed, cupboard under the stairs (in dark corner) or in resident DS's room are my usual places.
Do you have an accessible suitcase ? He'd have no reason to open it unless your going away for Christmas.
Failing that disguise it in a large box and wrap it PDQ grin

Wardrobe in the spare room! That's where mine are! Xx

Tell him to stop looking or he'll get nothing - why is he so nosy anyway? grin

He obviously doesn't like surprises.
When I was seven I found my Christmas doll and it ruined Christmas, I felt so guilty and bad. For my own children I used to leave all their presents with a neighbour so they couldn't be found.

I could leave them under his nose and he probably wouldn't take any notice!

Under the bed in a suitcase (locked if necessary)? In the freezer? Back of the wardrobe? Garden shed?
If he's that intent on looking he'll suss them out anyway sad

It's good that he is helpful with laundry...but if he is after things to wash why would he be looking in your underwear drawer? Presumably you don't put dirty stuff back in there? Oh - maybe he is putting stuff back! That confused me for a moment

With a neighbour!? Why haven't I thought of that before? Thanks all - I'm going to give it a go. He can't go sneaking around their underwear drawers, can he! Teetime - you're probably right, he's probably on here now trying to suss out my next move. And yes, Meevis he puts thing back after laundering - well, usually. He's not the most accomplished at domestic tasks but I'm very grateful that he tries.

If your that worried you could always keep them on you at all times? Bit extreme, but I did know someone who used to do this. She really loved Christmas.

Might be a bit difficult with something such as a chainsaw! (Not suggesting that Finchley has actually bought her dh a chainsaw, but you never know......)

Actually, the mind rather boggles! I suppose you could have a shoplifter's-style coat with loads of inner pockets and take to wearing a pipe-stove hat...tchconfused

Yer gotta pick a pocket or two? tchgrin

I stow his nibs' presents in my own wardrobe, he never peers in there.
