Gransnet Master Baker!

We hoped there'd be many of you who would want a slice of the action, rise to the occasion and apply for the prestigious role of Gransnet Master Baker. In fact the flan was that we would have hundreds and thousands of entries to choose from. Sadly, we were crumbled early on with some of you seeming to be under the impression we it was all an elaborate April Fool's joke!*

*Of course it was but thank you for playing along. grin #flourpower to you.

I have spent an hour designing a WONDERFUL cake, incorporating chicks, the date, a graphic of a bucket, and the text "FLOOR PAIL" ready to post to you.

Unfortunately, I am not as good with Photoshop as I would like to be, so the final touches were a mess and I had to delete the whole thing! It was past midday by then anyway, so it would not have been valid.

Oh, great joke, now how do I explain to my 5 year old grandson that his efforts in the kitchen making you a cake were a waste of time and that he has been tricked.

I am surprised you didn't ask for actual samples to be sent, they would have kept you in cupcakecupcake for days weeks grin

I should have spent this morning sorting out my finances for the coming year, bestowing my fourpence-ha'penny where it would get another farthing a year interest. Instead I have wasted it on confectionery design!
