Men dressed up as bakers turn up at your door and hand you a huge tiger loaf. Apparently,Tesco are thanking the local people for their loyalty by giving them bread. confused

I wouldn't mind but I CAN'T eat the blessed thing and it smells delicious! angry

I do like Tiger bread.

Me too! It keeps really well (not that it lasts very long in our house!).

Isn't that the way kitty, freebies are the one thing we can't eat.

dramatictessa Fri 27-May-16 19:38:56

It might be difficult to get through the plastic...oh, freebies - I thought you said Frisbees wink

kitty phone them and ask for a nice, freshly baked GF loaf and if they say 'can't do' then say, 'well, I am going to Waitrose'
(not that theirs is any better, I have found M&S do a halfway decent one.)

Who'd want to ever shop in Tesco again if they have a Waitrose? Everything is better quality and customer service is the best.
You don't have to buy the delicious luxuries, their Essentials range of all the basics is price matched to Tesco but hugely nicer.

I would, much prefer Tesco. Waitrose Ok for some items, but not for everyday and they never have enough staff on checkouts.

Jalima Fri 27-May-16 20:33:25

The bread at our Waitrose is not great though .....

If my family eat tiger bread within aroma distance of my gluten free self I accuse them of torture kitty. It sure does smell good.

Our local Tesco had no interest in the local community until a big Sainsbury opened in the town. Suddenly they discovered their charity option and started donating to local organisations. Not set foot in it since Sainsbury came.

We don't have a Waitrose within striking distance, but there is one near DD, where we look after DGS2 regularly. So DH and I both registered for the MyWaitrose scheme online but have never received the promised cards, despite chasing them up. I think they're trying to tell us something grin

I`ve never even seen a Waitrose, let alone shopped in one.

The one that has recently opened round here is in a defunct Budgens store so not huge and I don't think I could do my main shop there. I do use it for top ups and spend far too much. I dislike Tesco!

Never seen one either !
