Oh, Lucky lad. My spiritual home.

My grandson bought me a testube full of coloured sand from Alum Bay. Funny coz I once had a holiday job filling them up. grin

I'm wondering why he bought you TWO sticks of rock.

A bit of competition for the marmalade sarnies?

When I was 15 I went away with a friend and my granny gave me 5/- to spend. I' d never ever been on holiday and had no idea people brought presents home. My mother told me off for not spending my 5/- on a present for Granny. I've felt so bad about that ever since.

Many years ago my DS went with the school to the lovely Isle of Wight. He came back about 4lbs slimmer with all the walking and activities. They stayed in a hotel which had a lot of pensioners and the kids joined in the evening entertainment. My DS was taught the waltz by one of oldies. They all had such fun. smile
