Hope you don't mind Mick.
Good morning all.0
Seems everyone has had trouble getting in this morning. I've now cleared the snow from the door smile
No snow in our corner of Kent though plenty in the rest of the county.

Good morning, been trying to get on here since 7am. The snow is here in the north east and it is very windy again. I am going nowhere today, I have a pile of interesting DVDs ready to watch.

Good morning, Michael (in absentio), nina and all GNs. What a struggle to get onto the site this morning! We have no snow in South Yorkshire this morning although it did have a little go about seven o'clock and then gave up. In fact, the sky looks to be clearing a little. I hope it stays off as I have an engineer coming to look at my oven this morning and then I have to go to the library later. Have a good day folks - hope the weather is kind to you.

Morning all! I had trouble with the gnet site too.
Just starting snowing here in Bedford about thirty minutes who. Thought it was just going to be a sprinkling but getting heavier now and settling.

Good Morning All! Blue skies covered with fluffy white clouds here in South London BUT when I opened the door to let the dog out it it cold too. I wish you all a happy day!

Snow in the night but blue sky coming through. 15 degrees in the bedroom!

Good morning all

Snow overnight and a sprinkling on the Downs, but the coastal plain looks clear. Hard frost though. Sun and blue sky.

Mums today

Enjoy your day everyone

Good morning everyone.
From a bright, clear, sunny Glasgow. We had snow showers yesterday, but it hasn't stayed around. I'm childminding today as youngest two GSs are having a speech therapy session later this morning.
Have a good day everyone.

Stansgran, did your heating break down ? We have had thee heating breakdowns in the last thirty years and one was Christmas/ Boxing day and the others were in January when the weatherbwasnat it's coldest.

harrigran Fri 13-Jan-17 09:19:12

Weather was at. Stupid tablet keeps adding letters.

Good morning from Colchester. Light snow here on and off since about 5pm yesterday. Nothing to worry about though. There are lots of flood warnings in this area though, luckily we are on high ground away from the threat.

Good morning all.
Very wintry scene here in Stockport. I think the traffic is clearing the snow to slush on the roads but the gardens are white. As I speak my neighbour is out in his dressing gown putting his own bins out after crossing the road to pick up one which has blown over so it is very windy.
Keep warm everyone.

Light snow here in the W. Country and the sky looks as if there is more to come. Nervous about venturing out as I fell down on black ice before Christmas.

kittylester Fri 13-Jan-17 09:30:50

Morning all!

It is currently cold and it snowed about an hour ago in North Leicestershire. I have to go to Sainsbury's and the butcher's today.

I really enjoyed my flower course yesterday and discovered a teeny bit of creativity. I was really pleased with my effort - surprisingly!

Take care everyone.

Mick

Good morning everyone from southwest London!
I have missed you all as have had huge problems with the GN site for past 2 two days. Finally got through just now after many emails with GN team. Mystery!

Otherwise lovely day yesterday in town, beginning with fascinating lecture in the morning on Parisian women during WW2, then good discussion, lunch and National Theatre in the evening where we saw "The Red Barn" by David Hare. Superb play and acting. Had has rivetted on our £15.00 seats! Only snag was the number of people coughing and sneezing( cheap seats are very close together) .

Short snow/sleet shower at rush hour paralysed Waterloo into a crowded mess but otherwise no snow but cold.

Hope your day progresses well. White lawn here and cold but clear.

Good morning everyone. Light cloud cover here in North London - sun trying to break through but hasn't made it yet. Bitterly cold and some snow left in the back garden from last night. Have to go out this afternoon so I hope it warms up a bit. Hope you all watch out for ice on roads and pavements, and those at risk from flooding on the East Coast keep safe.

Morning to all, wrap up out there, it's really cold ( not used to it after a mild Winter) at least here in Oxfordshire.Tiny hard bits of snow coming down from a leaden sky, but not the large soft proper flakes I like to see, so nothing will stay on the ground.
A big pile of ironing awaits, so I will do that whist singing along to the radio.
