I,m the problem in my house (I am deaf in one ear from 18 months old) but I have always managed until a few months ago when I had to ask DH what it meant when a car went into "Limpopo" mode while watching a programme on tv. He had to tell me it was LIMP HOME MODE (oh dear)!

So true Katek!

My elderly aunt used to keep her expensive hearing aid in a drawer, a fat lot of use it was to her there.

POGS you are lucky your DH is getting a hearing aid - mine won't even consider it. He's in total denial.

I like that too

Ditto Greyduster.

Hubby is waiting for hearing aids and I can't wait. When he says he can't hear me I naturally raise my voice and then I get 'Alright, no need to shout'. OH YES THERE IS.

It's like living in a pantomime. grin

And, in DH's case, not always from another room!

I've just told my husband this - but had to shout as he is in another room....!!
