Ok, I’m usually pretty savvy technology wise, but when I received a new battery pack and plugged it in there was an error message on it (E8) in the power rating window, so after various emails to the supplier I happened to glance at it this morning
And
I’d had it upside down! It actually shows the charge as 83!
Oh dear.
I’ve now got to compose an apologetic email.....

???

It can’t be me, it must be somebody else’s fault.

Who can I blame?

MissAdventure Wed 21-Mar-18 12:59:35

Quick! Are you married? grin

Can't blame anyone but it just means you are normal. Well I hope you are because yesterday I couldn't log into a savings account and had to phone the bank. I was using a card from a closed account! This morning I think I made the day of the person calling for feedback on my call to the bank. I told her I was stupid, that the person I spoke to was kind and understanding and treated my like I was not stupid and gave her the highest score. I suspect it was the funniest call she had ever made!

lol, I did similar thing with the Carbon Monoxide alarm a while back. Thought it was showing a high reading .. panic.. Then my OH pointed out if I turned it other way up it actually said Lob using squared numbers - looked like 907. One new battery in and it showed three square zeros.

I was on my way to return a kettle once, as they had stupidly forgotten to include the lead.
Then whilst I was on the bus, I lifted the lid. blush and saw the lead.

Normal!! eek.
I’ll never live that down...
MissAdventure as my Dad used to say , if brains were gunpowder I wouldn’t have enough to blow my hat off.
Hmph.

A tit in a trance, my mum used to call me.

Many years ago when I was young and foolish (as opposed to now being old and foolish) we bought a house from my brother in law. A couple of days after we moved in I tried to telephone him but kept getting the engaged tone so I rang the telephone exchange (I did say this was a long time ago!). The operator asked what number I was trying to reach, then asked what number I was calling from - only then did I realise I had dialled the number we had taken over!

Love it! - gives me hope!! grin

Nonnie Wed 21-Mar-18 16:13:27

sunseeker you have reminded me of the time DH was trying to check if the phone was working and was calling our number from our landline instead of his mobile. He kept complaining the number was engaged!

Love all these stories - nice to feel "normal" for a change! grin
