Gambling Adverts during the World Cup

I wasn't sure where to put this thread but anyway......

Apparently ITV ran almost 90 minutes of gambling adverts during their world cup coverage (which was rubbish compared with the BBC's coverage IMO but that is by the way).

I am truly disgusted that children would have been bombarded with these adverts throughout ITV's coverage!

.....and I have gone right off Ray Winston who must be short of cash !

It is indeed humptydumpty. Surely when they know that a large amount of children will be watching they shouldn't be allowed to promote gambling. I winder how much revenue it brought to ITV though?

I don’t like being bombarded with them, never mind children. But then I don’t watch much itv cos of the adverts. And cos they only have rubbish on!

The BBC and ITV shared the World Cup matches between them so no choice but to watch ITV if you were following the football. I don’t think these adverts should be allowed during ( family ) sporting viewing .

Absolute agreement from me, I'd like to see advertisements for gambling not allowed anywhere.
There is a huge gambling problem in the country, made worse by the fact it's possible to place bets via your mobile phone.
