Yes me too. Monday's brown, Tuesday's blue, Wednesday white, Thursday blue, Friday brown, Saturday red. Only one I can't decide on is Sunday.

Some people can't. I didn't know that, either.

Yes another one here. I learnt about the name synesthesia some years ago and was fascinated with all its different manifestations. For me it’s seeing abstract things in colour, also shapes. So for example a pain can be round and smooth, or long and jagged. It can also have a colour. I’ve often smiled to myself imagining answering that common GP question, “can you describe the pain?”, with my sunesthetic description - “yes, it’s purple and sort of triangular shaped”

Isn’t it called imagination ?

Yes a couple of years back I put on GN that I see the year as an elipse shape (sideway egg). We are in September so we are bottom right and then will start moving up to October. December is at the top. So if I think about last Easter that is now to the left of me starting to move up a bit as it was in March I think.

The days of the week are just a straight line and no colours.

The number 5 is female the no 6 is male.

I have always seen peoples first names in colour.
For example: Margaret is pale blue - Natalie is brown - Jennifer is red - Christine is green.
I have never discussed this before but just felt it was normal because it has always been so for me.
I suppose I have synesthesia too?

I believe we had a thread about this a few weeks ago. My GD has this but I don't think anyone else in the family has it.
She is very artistic and initially thought that it was the artists eye that was seeing the colours.

No BlueBelle, it's not the same as imagination. Synesthesia is a kind of overlap of the senses, so that in some cases people perceive abstract things, like numbers, days of the week and so on, in colour. Others will have a smell, or a flavour associated with them, so that Friday smells of apples, or January tastes of peppermint. Other examples are that some synesthetes will hear a sound when they touch or smell something. And the interesting thing is that whatever association exists it is permanent, so that when I was a child the name Rachel was a grass green colour, and it still is. This doesn't change. Wednesdays are dark red, always have been.

Oh and the permanence is such that if I forget someone's name, more often than not I'll know what colour their name is. So if I remember that someone's name is light blue, he is likely to be Colin, Neil, or Nicholas, but definitely not James (purple) or Matthew (red)

C major is bright red, D minor is calming green. E flat is pucey pink...

I am an animation student and I'm planning to visualise and bring awareness of synesthesia to the public through an abstract animation! I was inspired to research synesthesia because my partner can taste food in shapes. (Here is an example of when I once asked him to draw out the shapes of two different flavours of pizza!)

I am looking for someone who has food-related synesthesia! You don't necessarily have to taste shapes, it can be colours, or sounds, etc...

I do it too. Tuesday is yellow, Thursday purple and Saturday brown. Sometimes Monday is red and sometimes green
. I don't know if there is any significance in the colours but the courts for those days have even with me since a child.

Hi! I experience something along these lines, but rather colours I experience emotions as shapes. Could this be a type of synesthesia? I sometimes experience feelings like a parallelogram or an irregular triangle or a rectangle. The feelings/emotions are very heightened and the shapes most often than not have obtuse angles. The emotions are sometimes stress related especially if I am scared or nervous or worried. Anyone else experience this? Or has come across this before? Any advice or help is greatly appreciated. Thank you!
