Good morning Mick and Gilly .Another scorcher here in Rome.
I'm flagging, trying to keep up with the fitter members of thecfamily, as I don't want to spoil things. I'm going to take it easier today and let them go off on their own.
Today is our last day and I'm almost ready to go home. Time still for a little more retail therapy, as well as a wander down Trastevere.
I had a bit off a disaster yesterday. The bathroom is quite compact, so I left my toilet bag down on the bidet, as DH had commandeered the vanity unit. We went out to dinner and when I got back, the bag was full of water!
"Someone" had knocked the tap on, ??.
My toilet bag is always packed in readiness for a seige, so you can imagine the mess. Three bath towels later, I was still trying to dry everything off. It is still wet this morning and half the contents are in the bin!.?
'Oh well these things happen,", said DH who has protested his innocence.?
I hope everyone has a better day than mine!! ☺️

Morning Mick, Morning All. Gloomy sky over our corner of Somerset. Admin and catchup day today. Not looking forward to it but wonderful when it’s all done. Oh dear Mary: one of those Mr Nobody incidents. Mr C will be tackling our ironing kitty, he enjoys it . Hope Tuesday is kind to everyone.

The sun is trying to poke through in Kent and there is a strong wind.
Usual Tuesday trip to take DH to gardening job and me to the supermarket. Nothing else planned.

Good Morning from a grey and rainy Black Country.

No plans for today, but talking of shopping opportunities, may go to Merry Hill (large indoor shopping centre near me) - or Merry Hell as some locals call it, to see if there are any summer bargains for my holiday to Spain in 2 weeks!

A pile of ironing awaits me too, but that can be done tomorrow or Thursday

Grey and very breezy here in the north of Norfolk.

We’re determinedly off for a spot of light birding and a walk at Cley. It’ll blow the cobwebs away for sure!

tenbury wells is dark dismal and depressing lots to do in house today so think i chose the right day to stay home happy tuesday all

Morning Mick, Annie to come and all early birds. I will have to get a move on this morning, DH is going out and there is a chap coming to quote for a bit of tree trimming.
Nina, we could do with your DH's gardening skills, and Mr C's handyness with the iron. There isn't a lot, promise .
Then this afternoon, I shall be back volunteering. I have so missed being there and all my friends.

School run this morning with GC, well not exactly a run it's a 2 min walk, as we live next door but one to the school. Even so my D was late a lot of the time!!!!

Leaving for home after a lovely few days away. Sweet Charity was great last night and I could remember all the words of the songs, a miracle !

Sitting here getting my last few minutes of watching the stream trickle by, surrounded with trees and birds. We will return this is such a special place.

Poor you Mary with your washbag full of all the possible necessities drown in a sea of water. Safe journey home. You may need your thermals on when you get back.

It will be nice to be back at the old homestead but it has been bliss not having to prepare meals on a daily basis. I have come to the conclusion that I am rather lazy, not a trait I like in myself.
