Morning all. Hoping it's OK for me to start the thread as Mick is away.

It feels slightly warmer in North Leicestershire this morning.

Not much going on here today apart from making brunch for DH and DS1 before they go to the football.

Morning, kitty, and all who follow. Windy here in Argyll; the house is singing. I'm off to Dundee today with two other grans to visit the new Victoria & Albert design museum. Might say hello to Discovery too.

Happy days, dudes!

Blue45Sapphire Sat 03-Nov-18 07:07:36

Good morning from Northampton! Bit grey here this morning, but no frost.

Looking forward to going to friends for lunch today. Might not have to get a couple of buses across town to them as DDil has nominated DS to take me - don't think he knows........ At least he can change a light bulb for me when he picks me up.

Have a good day all.

Good morning all. Dry and cold in East Northants - the sun is just coming up. I want to get out early this morning to pick up some sewing bits from the craft shop, before the traffic gets too busy. Then it will be ironing, pottering and catching up with recorded tv. Hope its a good day for everyone.

ninathenana Sat 03-Nov-18 07:18:54

Morning everyone.
Dry in Kent this morning, the sun is trying to make an apperance. We had a beautiful day yesterday 20c in the car.
Bit of laundry this morning, this afternoon DH will watch the rugby and I will be busy with a jigsaw.
Have a good day everyone

Morning All

A beautiful pink and peachy sunrise in Norfolk. I want to make the most of today and get some garden tidying done as the forecast for next week looks a bit dull and drear. Oh, and there’s a nice pile of ironing with my name on it while I wait for the frost to clear.

PECS Sat 03-Nov-18 07:33:50

Good morning to you all. Looks clear so far. Off to the GP for a flu jab this morning at 9:00 then going off to Bath for an overnight stay & meeting up with some good friends..back home again tomorrow!

cornergran Sat 03-Nov-18 07:44:25

Morning All. Thank you for beginning the thread kitty. Grey and overcast in our corner of Somerset. Some laundry, serious tidying and a food shop for me today. One granddaughter due for an overnight, it would be good if she could get to her bed. Hope Saturday is kind to everyone.

Marydoll Sat 03-Nov-18 07:47:30

Good morning all from a wet and windy Glasgow.
We have had DGD overnight and she is just stirring. It was lovely to see her wee smiling face looking up at me. She slept all night, horizontally with her legs across me and kept kicking the covers off, it was rather chilly! grin
We planned to have flu jabs today, but the surgery have run out of vaccine.
The kitchen saga is nearly over, at last! The joiner finished last night and just waiting for the electrification to put in some LED lighting.
However, the microwave went on fire yesterday. shock.
I was melting chocolate when I heard a bang, a crackling noise, then saw flames!!!
The spindle and a part of the turntable melted! That's my iron, the microwave and I wonder what the third one will be. confused.
I hope everyone has a good Saturday and Mick is enjoying his trip.
Baggs, a visit to Dundee is on our list of places to go. Now the kitchen is finished, we may manage it.

Morning Kitty and All.

Light cloud here in South Bucks.

Will venture onto the road again today for my second session in our new car. I was pretty good at sorting out the sat nav and media in our Renault but now we have a VW it is so complicated. The handbook is Uni level reading I have given up on that. A kind GN member sorted out the non existent mute button for me. Anyway today I hope to go beyond second gear ?

Will fit in watching the Rugby thanks for the heads up Nina I didn’t know it was on.

Mapleleaf Sat 03-Nov-18 07:50:29

Good morning, all.
A nice morning here. The sun is shining at the moment. It doesn't feel quite as cold, though there's a breeze which is bound to take the edge off the temperature.
Just having a quick cup of tea before DH gets home from work in the next half hour or so, then it's a day of supermarket shopping and chores. Exciting, eh!!
Hope you all enjoy your day. ?

NanKate Sat 03-Nov-18 07:53:06

Hello Mary your kitchen appliances sound a bit dodgy to me. No doubt you will be hunting for a new microwave today.

You are so lucky your DGD sleeps in so late. ?

gillybob Sat 03-Nov-18 07:55:22

Good morning everyone .
I was in bed before 9pm last night ( couldn’t keep my eyes open) and have only just woken up . Completely unknown for me to sleep so long what a waste.

Have a good Saturday x

Brunette10 Sat 03-Nov-18 08:07:55

Morning everyone from a windy Fife. it's dry just now but rain expected. Marydoll my goodness me, you don't have much luck do you? What a fright you would get. Hope you get everything sorted. Not been yet to the new V and A in Dundee, will go soon, enjoy Baggs. DD and 2 x DGS today out and about for a short while and that's it, then Strictly. Can't wait. Hope you all have a good day.

Gagagran Sat 03-Nov-18 08:09:06

Morning all! It's a bit grey here on the south coast but definitely milder than of late and we are promised sun later. Should be the same for Mick on the Isle of Wight - we are not far from there.

The garden tidy started yesterday and we removed the three magnificent Black eyed Suzies from an obelisk. What a fantastic show they put on for us all summer but the recent chilly nights killed them off.

The pavement tarmac is to be laid today (first coat) after a day of excavating the old one. It will start to look less a film set for a battle field then, hopefully, though the road itself still needs a lot of work. There is a problem with a gas main which needs lowering before they can proceed.

Hope the day is a good one for us all. sunshine

Pittcity Sat 03-Nov-18 08:11:11

Good morning from a grey skied Colchester. Not as cold as of late.
The ironing pile is growing here too.
Not sure what else Saturday will bring.

Greyduster Sat 03-Nov-18 08:15:44

Good morning, all GNs and Michael in absentia. Thank you Kitty for opening up! Maple has given you our weather here. Ah, Marydoll its like having a little windmill in your bed, but I, too, used to love waking up with my small grandson?! Nothing planned for today except to give the house a bit of a clean and make some cream cheese icing for a cake. May have a walk later if there’s time. Have a good day folks!

Nannytopsy Sat 03-Nov-18 08:29:12

Good luck with the cream cheese icing Grey - I am always afraid it will go runny on me! I feel the need for cake so a bit of baking today I think.

Greyduster Sat 03-Nov-18 08:44:18

It wasn’t wonderful last time I made it, NannyTopsy but nothing ventured!grin

harrigran Sat 03-Nov-18 08:46:48

Good morning, we have gale force winds but it is mild.
Dinner with DD was excellent and we had a good ctatch up.
Not seeing the GC this weekend as other GPs are visiting and we like to give them the time to themselves.
Restful day for me.

Anniebach Sat 03-Nov-18 08:46:55

aggie Sat 03-Nov-18 08:56:10

Good morning all .Wet And windy here in Co Armagh , bit of shopping later then I intend to read some of the books on my Kindle , either that or delete a few !

Auntieflo Sat 03-Nov-18 09:08:44

Good morning Kittylester, Annie, {{{Hugs}}} and all. It's a beautiful bright and sunny day here. Don't know how cold it is, as I am enjoying my tea in bed.
We will get a firework display, courtesy of the local Lions, through our lounge window this evening. best of both worlds, lovely displays and in the warm.
Gilly, you must have needed that good sleep.
NanKate why don't the car manufacturers write manuals that a lay person can actually understand?
Marydoll your kitchen electrics sound a bit dodgy.
Hve a good weekend everyone,

Greyduster Sat 03-Nov-18 09:15:44

Nobody writes manuals for anything that a lay person can understand!!
