Just that really!
Any ideas for Christmas presents for female friends and family.
Or, what have you really liked as a gift from someone.

My adult sons get us (husband and me) weekends away and evenings out - comedy clubs, restaurants, theatre tickets. We like that.

As for buying for my lot, the adults get a bottle of whisky or whatever drink they like, plus a jumper, chocolates, calendar, books, spa days.

Grandchildren get books, an educational game, an outfit, the toy of their choice, pyjamas, and chocolates.

I run 2 day centres for elderly people, so I get them all some bits and pieces too.

Gloves perhaps. I often buy these as presents and get a gift receipt to put with the present so they can return the gloves easily if they don't want the gloves or want a different size.

Gloves are easy to wrap too.

My late mother always like a hairdressing voucher. I like vouchers for my favourite clothes shop.

I have just ordered a jigsaw for my friend of more than 45 years. She is into history and loves jigsaws so I have managed to find a historical (1610) map of our county as a jigsaw.
I have ordered DD a voucher which will deliver six books at monthly intervals. She will just need to get in touch with the bookshop to discuss her likes and dislikes, and they will suggest and send appropriate books.
DDil is getting a heated throw so she can wrap herself up in the evenings and he nice and cosy.
DS and DSil are getting a nice jumper each.

I dropped hints about a years subscription to a magazine for the older person beginning with S this would be great for a person who has everything. Vouchers for a local garden centre for those who love their gardens, maybe some good quality gardening gloves, PJ's, especially the fleecy kind are a good idea with fluffy bedsocks. For those who love food check out your local garden centres as they do sosme wonderful food gifts this time of year, i was looking for suchlike and was surprised at the range they hold.
