Morning Mick, morning All, looks like a sunny day ahead in our corner of Somerset. Motorway fairy permitting we’re off to help one of ours with his garden, visit my parents grave and have a walk in the grounds of a Manor House. Looking forward to it. Flipping shoulder has finally got a diagnosis, seems three things wrong including nerve impingement. Physio referral will take 12 weeks, best practice patience. Hope Good Friday is kind to everyone.

Morning to all
Last full day of grandchildren’s visit, off to NT property, and meeting up with rest of family, looks like being a lovely sunny day in the West Country

Good Morning Mick, corner and everyone from a clear, mild morning here on the south coast. We are forecast another lovely day!

Sorry to hear about your wait for physio corner - it seems we have either too many people needing help or not enough available supply. Good luck on the motorway - hope it's running free. Same for your trip too Mick.

We are off to see the bluebells today after a busy day yesterday meant we could not fit it in. I love the scent and colour - one of my favourite flowers.

Hope we all have a good day. sunshine

Good morning everyone from a lovely sunny Passau in Austria.
Having an excellent cruise in beautiful weather. Having a tour to Salzburg today; I was last there in 1959 on a school trip. Even before the Sound of Music!
Hope everyone has a good Easter weekend.

Good Morning all.
Beautiful sunny morning here on S Welsh coast.
Gardener was due to dig up an apple tree this morning and move it to DD's but he called yesterday to say that he'd looked it up and it's better to leave it until the Autumn.

I love to see a carpet of bluebells, enjoy *Gaga+
Enjoy your weekend in Bournemouth Mick and everyone.
Glad you have a diagnosis Corner and hope the physio wait will be shorter than predicted.

Good Morning Mick and All.

Beautiful Spring Good Friday here in South Bucks.

DS is looking after the 2 DGSs this morning which is great as I am on the point of exhaustion with having them here all week! They have had great fun and played a lot with the local children on the Green in front of our house.

Good morning everyone from a sunny Malaga. The sky is pink and pale blue with just a few streaks of white cloud and I can see from my balcony that the Mediterranean is sparkling blue. A beautiful morning.

Seeing friends for an hour this afternoon who are out for two weeks holiday. They have an apartment in our block which they too have had for years but we only got to know them since we retired 4 years ago.

Fish for tea (we are not religious anymore but old habits die hard) at a local restaurant. Have a good Good Friday everybody whatever your plans, or none. x

Good morning Mick and all. Lovely sunny morning in Cheshire. A walk in the woods by me this morning. The bluebells are out, not quite a blue haze yet, but with more hours of sunshine they soon will be.

Celebration lunch out for my DS and BiL's golden wedding. My other sister and I have bought them two standard 'Golden Wedding' rose trees.

A quiet day after a tiring day yesterday at hospital. Supermarket shop, tidying up garden and church at 3pm.
Sar, you have reminded me to take the fish from the freezer! grin

BlueSapphire , you seem to be following the route I took on a train across Germany , as a student in the seventies. Happy memories have been re-awakened. smile

Have a good day all and safe journey to all who are travelling.

Greyduster Fri 19-Apr-19 07:51:01

Good morning, Michael and all GNs. A bright start in South Yorkshire and DS and DiL are expected for lunch, but it will be later than usual because there is the inevitable football match for the men first. Have a good day folks.

Good morning everyone.
The sun is out in Kent and it's warming nicely.
I envy all of you with plans for the weekend. I did briefly consider a tip out but Kent roads are so horrendous when the sun is out and it's holiday time. So if it's as warm as we are forecast I will be sitting in the garden.
Safe journey if your traveling and have a good day all.

Good morning I am also in Spain on what would have been my Golden Wedding Day. I am here with DD and DSiL and we have scattered DH ashes where we have spent many happy times. It has been hard to be here but meeting old friends and neighbours has been good and I am pleased we did it. I don't post very often but have been glad many times to log into Gransnet and get comfort from reading many of the posts.

Good morning from the NE coast. It’s a beautiful bright and sunny start to what promises to be a lovely day.

Went to DD’s house straight from work yesterday and managed to get 2 van loads of garden rubbish to the tip which has put a huge dent in it thank goodness. O problems from the horrible neighbours (but we were very conscious of being watched from the upstairs window. I went out and swept most of the car park just before we left just so they don’t have anything else to shout about....horrible people ) Maybe just one last trip to go and then we can see the wood for the trees... literally. The garden is looking better already with the lovely new fence and all the ugly climbers pulled out and gone and we can even see the pretty little tree in the corner now. Nice new shed all built and painted and the old one was taken away by a lovely lady from Freecycle. We are hiring a rotavator next week as there is an awful lot of digging and turning over still to do. Then there’s a patio and new lawn area to prepare and lay.... then finally DD and baby girl can enjoy their new garden and grandma and grandad can relax....phew

It football for my son and two of his children today too Greyduster they are Sunderland season ticket holders and they are desperate to see them promoted !

I hope you continue to enjoy your holiday in Malaga Urmstongran I can see the sea too but the North Sea is not quite so “sparkling blue” as the Mediterranean grin

I am so glad you are having good weather for your Danube cruise BlueSapphire it sounds amazing. Have a great trip to Salzburg today.

Hope Good Friday is kind to everyone whatever you are doing x

Alygran Fri 19-Apr-19 08:34:31

Good morning from sunny North Yorkshire. DD1 and DGS went home yesterday so a quiet start here. Reading in church this afternoon. A few bits and bobs to do and a cake to make for Sunday when I head down to Derbyshire to my family and more grandma time. Hope the day is good to you.

dragonfly46 Fri 19-Apr-19 08:35:59

So pleased the neighbours stayed clear Gilly. Maybe the management company rang them. Anyway glad you got the work done without a hitch.
