White magpie

Interesting. A couple of years ago I saw a white pheasant in a nearby field. I can't imagine that it lived long as it really stood out.

A white pheasant, wow! The pic we found on the web was taken a few years ago - the bird we saw was much whiter. I wonder if albino / leucistic birds have white offspring?

The wonders of nature! It's nice to see something unusual isn't it?

When I lived on a shooting estate, the odd white pheasant popped up...if anyone shot it, they had to stand a round of drinks. The colour range of the birds was incredible, ranging from a light tawny gold to almost a dark, port wine colour.

I often used to see a Blackbird with white patches in my garden. I was told that a pure white one had also been seen, but never saw it myself.

I didn't have time for a phone, by the time I get my phone out, unlock, open the camera app, even the dog has got bored and wandered off!
