Morning from a very bright North Leicestershire.

I need an emergency dental appointment this morning. Its someone's law that we are going away on Sunday and I have had a niggly pain for a week that has escalated to agony overnight. Wish me luck.

NanKate Fri 24-May-19 06:48:54

Morning Mick and All.

Sorry to hear about your dental problem Kitty hope you can start on the antibiotics PDQ I have been on them for a gum infection for over a week and the downside for me as I am not allowed a glass of plonk until I have finished the course next week.

DH returning from childcare duties today and then we are both going back down to help over half term on Sunday, it’s all go.

Oh dear kitty - I hope your toothache is short lived.

I'm about to go up to Manchester to see my mother whose health has deteriorated dramatically in advance of her 90th birthday this week. Trying to organise her health care from Devon is proving too frustrating. I've just checked the weather and it's much colder up north so I need to go and pack some warmer tops.

teabagwoman Fri 24-May-19 06:57:19

Good morning Mick, Blue Saphire and all who follow and thank you all for your warm welcome yesterday. It’s another sunny day in Northampton and I’m off to my daughter’s again and on to dgd’s school for their shared assembly and cake sale. Hoping to fit in a visit to the garage about my car’s air con too, Beechnut. I’ll keep my fingers crossed that you get that tooth sorted out Kittylester.

Harris27 Fri 24-May-19 07:02:25

Welcome teabagwoman! Yes it's Friday and I've got an early Finish whoopee!! Home early feet up and watch Chelsea! Long weekend to look forward to as well smiling!!

DoraMarr Fri 24-May-19 07:09:47

Good morning from sunny Birmingham. I’m having my morning tea while my two year old granddaughter sleeps, and before my eldest daughter arrives with my eighteenth month old grandson, so it’s the calm before the storm. How on earth I managed with four under fives I don’t know! We’ll spend quite a lot of time in the park today, I think. I hope everyone has a good day and, if you are under the weather, you get some relief.

Marydoll Fri 24-May-19 07:18:21

Good morning all from a cool and breezy Glasgow.

Hoping to get out for a couple of hours today and if I have no chest pain, a spot of lunch with DH. Fingers crossed!
I have become a recluse and the profits in the local shops have gone down, since I became ill, grin.

Kitty, I hope you get that tooth sorted.

Have a good Friday, all.

Brunette10 Fri 24-May-19 07:20:31

Morning to everyone from a bright but still cool Fife. Sun is shining so that's good. Have DD and DGS's today for lunch to complete holidays plans for next week. Kitty hope you get tooth sorted, nothing worse. Hope today is good to all.

Urmstongran Fri 24-May-19 07:23:54

Good morning everyone from Malaga where the sky is a beautiful soft apricot colour with streaks of blue, promising another gorgeous day. No plans so will probably just sort my wardrobe later, put away my winter clothes and bring out my summer ones, then sit in the gardens. The pool water is too cold for me just yet.

Hope you get your toothache sorted kitty especially as your holiday is so near.

A bank holiday weekend to enjoy! gillybob you won’t know yourself at 1pm today! Knowing you though it won’t be ‘me’ time busy lady.

Our little family at home have 2 weeks off now for half term as the smalls don’t go to their childminder as mummy is a teacher and will be at home with them. Lovely.
?

Hope Friday is good to us all whether we have plans or (like me) none. x

NannyJan53 Fri 24-May-19 07:35:58

Good Morning from what looks to be another gloriously sunny day like yesterday.

Friday morning Walking for Health walk, then home to a few jobs. Partner is home for a long weekend later today.
Hope you get your tooth sorted Kitty ahead of you going away. Dora you certainly have a busy day ahead! My grandchildren are all past the toddler stage now, the youngest being 8!

Thinking of you today Marydoll and hoping today is much better for you flowers

Ginny42 Fri 24-May-19 07:36:45

Goodness, where did that week go? Happy Friday Mick and all. Sunny and bright in Cheshire again. Didn't stop reading till 4.00 a.m. so feeling a little sleepy atm. After a walk in the woods I'm going to tackle the paving in my garden. Bought a miracle cleaner - so it says on the pack!

Kitty I hope you get the toothache sorted so you can enjoy your hols. Marydoll, do take care and enjoy lunch out.

Lins1066 Fri 24-May-19 07:38:52

Morning Mick and all, it's a cloudy morning on the S Welsh coast, though due to brighten up later according to the forecast.
Nothing planned for us today, hope the dentist sorts your tooth Kitty and enjoy your retail therapy * Marydoll*
Have a pleasant day everyone.

gillybob Fri 24-May-19 07:42:33

So glad you arrived safe and well in sunny Malaga Urmstongran you will be glad of that cool pool when the temperature soars ! (Just a smidge jealous here).

I will be taking my dad for (yet another) shop later this afternoon and then home to hopefully relax and cook a nice supper for DH and I . A couple of little jobs to do in DD’s garden sometime over the weekend but nothing too strenuous.

BlueSapphire Fri 24-May-19 07:50:52

Good morning to all. Lovely blue skies over my part of Northampton, teabagwoman, and hope it stays like it. Just poured my mug of tea, taken my tablets and had a rich tea biscuit.

Slept much better last night; the last two weeks have been awful for sleeping with all the worry about my heating system. So I took a tablet last night and slept through.... My GP prescribed two weeks worth when DH died last year, and so far have only used about half of them.

So, did British Gas turn up yesterday as promised? Ha ha ha.. They promised a visit between 12 and 6pm. At five to six I had my hand on the phone ready to let rip, when said phone rang. Very apologetic man on the other end blaming the computer, and promising they will be here this morning before 1pm... I was mad yesterday as it was a beautiful afternoon and I wanted to spend it in the garden, but had to stay in the house or I wouldn't have heard the doorbell. At least I got a lot of my current book read. And I had to miss my ballet class. Thank goodness it's not the middle of winter, with no heating and no hot water.

School run this afternoon and DGDs here for tea. Will do Friday's usual M&S and Sainsbury's shop tomorrow instead.

Keeping my fingers crossed!.....

gillybob Fri 24-May-19 07:57:06

I can’t believe you have been without hot water for this long BlueSapphire . It’s disgraceful. Hardly a good advert for British Gas either.

Shaking head.

travelsafar Fri 24-May-19 08:00:06

Looking good here this morning blue cloudless sky and sunshine. Poor Kitty, toothache is one of the worst pain ever, good job you can get in before B/H and going away. Fingers crossed they resolve it for you.
I am just about to jump in the shower before walking to the train station to meet my sister as we are off on a jaunt again today to Hatfield House. She has packed up a lunch for us i just need to bring a couple of bottles of water.
What ever you are doing i hope all have an enjoyable day and nothing too stressful occurs. smile

Greyduster Fri 24-May-19 08:03:56

Good morning, Michael and all GNs. Another sunny day in prospect. After a day and an evening mostly on my feet yesterday I don’t feel as if my legs belong to me this morning, but we had a lovely day. Today I have a hospital appointment so will be mostly sitting on the bus getting there. Kitty I hope you get your tooth sorted out today - what a bummer! Have a good day folks.

Resurgam123 Fri 24-May-19 08:07:37

Good morning in Cheshire sunshine.

I keep thinking of those wonderful stories of Judith Kerr.

Pittcity Fri 24-May-19 08:13:57

Good morning from sunny Colchester. Mostly shopping and planning for a busy weekend today. Will need to get the hose on the veg garden again tonight.

harrigran Fri 24-May-19 08:14:22

Good morning, another sunny day.
DH has his last appointment of the week and I have an appointment with the practice nurse this afternoon for BP check and bloods.
Sister and BIL have flown off, for a holiday in the sun, at silly o'clock this morning. Celebrating their wedding anniversary by themselves. Rest of my family goes on holiday tomorrow leaving DH and I like 'Billy no mates'

Mapleleaf Fri 24-May-19 08:20:01

Good morning all,
As greyduster says, it's another bright, sunny morning here in SY. There's still a pesky breeze, though, but yesterday, out of the breeze, it was lovely and warm, so hoping for the same today.
I can't venture far today as a parcel is supposed to be coming, which I wasn't expecting until next week. Apparently they tried to deliver yesterday when I was out with my lovely GN friends. I'll have to potter around at home until they've been.
Hope you get your tooth sorted today, * kitty*. Toothache is
terrible.
Have a good day everyone. ?

ninathenana Fri 24-May-19 08:23:27

Good morning all.

Beautiful morning in Kent.
We will be attending a funeral today for the chairman of the rugby club DH used to play for. Lot's of reminiscing and catching up for DH.
Enjoy your days.

cornergran Fri 24-May-19 08:38:21

Morning Mick, morning All from a bright, sunny corner of Somerset. Food shop later, that’s about it today other than watch the washing machine wash the towels. That sounds bad timing kitty, hope the dentist can at least reduce the pain today. Enjoy the extra day off gilly, you deserve it. Hope Friday is kind to everyone.
