Good Morning Everyone,
Its dry but looks a bit brighter as to yesterdays start to the day in Brackley.
Quiet day, nip into Waitrose , visit from chiropodist , pay a bill and then from lunchtime watch todays stage of the Giro D Italia.

Morning Mick, morning All from a grey and dismal looking corner of Somerset. Off down the motorway early-ish so Mr C can help one of ours with garden ‘stuff’. Forecast is for rain. I feel my best supervisory head coming on. There’s a good view from the conservatory grin. Hope Wednesday is kind to everyone.

Beechnut Wed 29-May-19 06:44:06

Good Morning everyone.
Dry and cloudy on Severnside this morning. I hope it cheers up and we see some blue sky.
Homework day for me and nothing else planned.
Wishing the best day for you all ?

Ginny42 Wed 29-May-19 06:44:30

Morning Mick, you seem to have your day sorted! The weather looked foul on the Giro D' Italia circuit yesterday Mick. Riders poured hot tea on themselves to warm up? Rather them than me!

Waging war on the squirrels eating my roses. May make a scarecrow of myself as they ran when I opened the door yesterday, so I'm clearly very scary.

Out walking with neighbours this morning and again this afternoon with a friend.

Enjoy whatever you've got planned for today everyone.

Good Morning everyone from my hospital bed in Cameron Hospital windygates ygates I’m pleased to say I’m recovering in small stagesfrom having had a stroke.itsbeen a hellish journey however I’ve made it thus so far from receiving best wishes from family and friends there’s somuch to learn about being patient.and enjoying the simple little things in life I’m having to rely on folks to hand me thingsfromfrom my bedside Table Im also learning to stand with the help of the physio’s who are so very lovely. There are a few angels working here here and a few who needlessons in kindnesshowever I’m not going to dwell on the negative I’ve so many folks rooting for me. My two little grandsons brought me sunshine when they visited me at the weekend both thought they would help push my wheelchair at the same time . And I get cuddles from them. Bye for now everyone I’ll post again soon. -

Ginny42 Wed 29-May-19 06:57:40

Elizabeth1 sending admiration and hugs in equal measure! What a feisty spirit and so brave. Glad you're being taken good care of and you're right to concentrate on the kindness of the angels and ignore the unpleasant few. Their loss. Would like to have seen the grandsons vying to push your wheelchair. Did you go round in circles?

Do let us know how you're doing. flowers

Good morning all from cloudy Northampton. I admire your spirit Elizabeth1 and I’m sure you’ll find lots of support here as you work towards your new normal. I have a day off from looking after my daughter and am taking my car in to get the air conditioning sorted and going to the hairdresser this morning. Hope to have a sit down with s good book this afternoon, my knees and feet are feeling the pressure.

kittylester Wed 29-May-19 07:13:45

Good morning all from a greyish Morecambe. After breakfast, we are going to go for a drive.

Great to see you posting Elizabeth. Please keep in touch when you are able.

Urmstongran Wed 29-May-19 07:16:36

Good morning everyone from another sunny one in Malaga. Just made made husband laugh when I suggested we have a game of tennis later ‘before it gets too hot’. (We have a beautifully kept court next to the gardens). I haven’t picked up a tennis racquet since senior school!

Sending you my very best wishes Elizabeth1 for your recovery. You sound as though you are a model patient in that hospital and I’m sure the staff will be delighted as their efforts bear fruit.

There are some witty posts this morning ladies! I love having a giggle on here with my first cuppa of the day (always the best one and I’m glad I’m not chucking it over myself).

Love the thought of you supervising from the comfort of the conservatory cornergran and your depreciating remark about yourself Ginny42.

Hope Wednesday is good to us all, whether we have plans or (like me) none. x

Lins1066 Wed 29-May-19 07:18:34

Good Morning Mick and everyone. Cloudy on S Welsh coast.
Wishing you you a good recovery Elizabeth1

I slept like a log last night following hydrotherapy. The physio I had was excellent and there was another who helped me in and out of the pool. My foot ached afterwards but all part of the healing process I suppose.

DD's birthday today and we are going to our local pub for a meal later, haven't been there since January. Looking forward to it.
Have a pleasant day everyone.

DoraMarr Wed 29-May-19 07:18:40

Elizabeth best wishes for a good recovery flowers
And good morning from an overcast and decidedly cooler Birmingham. I’m going to the art gallery today and having lunch with a friend at the Edwardian tearoom. I’ve nearly finished sorting out the spare bedroom- culling books takes such a long time! My daughter is going to take two pieces of furniture, then I have to get rid of the last piece. I will have a nice bright bedroom with white furniture instead.

Lins1066 Wed 29-May-19 07:21:19

It's DH's birthday ??

annsixty Wed 29-May-19 07:24:23

Good morning all.
Just popping in to say how lovely to see Elizabeth posting.
Keep up the hard work, it will be worth all the effort.
No sun yet in Stockport but I am still lazing in my bed.
Have the best day you can everyone.

Sprout Wed 29-May-19 07:24:35

Morning Mick and all. My thoughts and best wishes to you Elizabeth. Well bright here in Kent has been raining however everywhere is lovely and green. Having a cuppa in Conservatory watching the dogs trying to chase the birds. Quiet day ahead. Have a good day everyone.

BlueSapphire Wed 29-May-19 07:25:34

Good morning from a very grey Northampton.

You sound as though you are making good progress Elizabeth; I hope you make a speedy reconery.

Book club this morning, then DD picking me up this afternoon; we shall be going to our ladies wine club tonight, so looking forward to it.

Have a good day everyone.

gillybob Wed 29-May-19 07:25:54

Good morning from a much brighter and sunnier NE coast than we have seen of late. Fingers crossed it stays like this for the rest of the children’s half term which has been a wash out so far.

So pleased to see you posting again Elizabeth1 and hope you are well on the road to a full recovery. How terrifying all this must’ve been for you. Glad there are some lovely people looking after you but a shame there are always those who are perhaps “in the wrong job”. I wish you much strength for the coming weeks x

Childcare day for me yesterday and my dads birthday. He still had to do his usual Tuesday big shop though. DGS announced that we should take great grandad to McDonalds for a birthday treat, which we did. My dad thoroughly enjoyed it and even said he might go back sometime. smile

I’m off to “that place” to catch up today. Can’t say I am looking forward to it one iota.

Have a good Wednesday everyone. Sending you all lots of sunshine x

NannyJan53 Wed 29-May-19 07:28:46

Good Morning from a cloudy Black Country.

I too admire your spirit Elizabeth and wishing you all the best for your speedy recovery.

Funnily enough Dora I was in the Edwardian tearoom at the Art Gallery yesterday!

Today I am meeting my daughter for lunch (she is an Assistant Head Teacher so off this week) the DGD's are off out for the day, so it is just the two of us which doesn't happen very often. We are going to the new pub that has opened in her village recently.

Good luck also on your recovery Lins and happy birthday to your DH wine cupcake

oldgaijin Wed 29-May-19 07:34:55

Good morning from a bright Aberdeenshire. Am still in my bed and shall stay here 'til I feel less of a wrung out cloot after yesterday's chemo. I think the mutt is feeling off colour too so we shall cuddle up together and snooze.
Have a good day everyone.

ninathenana Wed 29-May-19 07:42:36

Good morning.

Grey skies over Kent today, we may get the rain they have been forecasting for a week.
Apart from driving DH too and from jobs, I have no plans today.
Eizabeth wishing you continued spirit and a good recovery.

Pittcity Wed 29-May-19 07:51:30

Good morning from an overcast Colchester. Usual Wednesday coffee meetup in town and a bit of mooching around the shops.

Glad to see you posting Elizabeth1 and that you are improving.

Alygran Wed 29-May-19 07:56:46

Good morning. Sunshine in North Yorkshire this morning. Hopefully the lawn will dry and I will get it cut later. Man coming this morning to replace the controller for the underfloor heating in the conservatory and I need to pop to the market to get a picture framed for DD1.
Good to hear from you Elizabeth1.
Oldgaigin take it easy, chemo can be tough.
Have a good day everyone.

Good morning all and especially Elizabeth1!

A cloudy day here in Glasgow, DH has been blundering about since 5.30am, he is away to play golf! How can one person make so much noise?

I blame him for me buying a top this morning from QVC, a top I didn't actually need. If I hadn't been up wandering about, I wouldn't have put the tv on!! grin
This top was bought just after I put five bags out for the BHF charity shop uplift this morning!! The irony is not entirely lost on me. wink

I am so happy to see Elizabeth1 posting, Marelli has been keeping me up to date on your progress. You have had a very difficult time.

oldgaijin, I hope you feel better, just take it easy today.

An easy day for me today, I'm feeling a bit more upbeat after my wobble yesterday. No childminding duties today, so I shall just potter about the garden.
It used to be my pride and joy, but it's needing a lot of tidying up after the building work and I'm not allowed to do anything strenuous. sad

Have a good Wednesday, everyone!

harrigran Wed 29-May-19 08:19:28

Good morning from a sunny NE.
DH has lunchtime hospital appointment, needs the remainder of afternoon to rest so quiet day for me today.
DD arrives in the UK this evening but no plans yet to meet up.
DS and family are in Scotland, please let it not be raining.
Best wishes Elizabeth, plenty of TLC from GC is the best medicine.

Auntieflo Wed 29-May-19 08:19:33

Morning Michael, Annie to come and all GN's. It is a bit overcast here, but no rain, yet!
I have an appointment for a haircut this morning, Then we are off to hospital for DH's planning for radiotherapy. So we may have a nice lunch out beforehand.
Wishing all those who have had bad health, all the best, there are quite a few here, but all upbeat and looking forward. Well done .
My tiny pond that I started to make on Monday, is clearing nicely and will soon be able to put in about three plants. My neighbours are overrun with newts, and I would love to think a few may come our way.
