Good Morning Everyone,
I have woken to a sunny start this morning in Brackley .
Its will be a day with a difference for me as I see the nurse this afternoon as to my diabetes 2.
I have put on around a kg or more since they last weighed me , so that will show.
Mick

Good morning, Mick, and all to come. Bit cloudy in Northampton today, but the sun is trying.

Managed an hour's weeding yesterday, and have got rid of the worst and biggest. I used to be able to do a whole morning on that sort of thing, but I must be getting old, an hour is enough these days. I was exhausted! Decided to sit out with an icecream and the Sunday papers but the sun had other ideas and promptly disappeared.

Gasmen here again today to hopefully complete the new hot water tank fitting..... DGDs here again today as well, teacher training day.

Hope your visit to the nurse goes ok Mick.

Good Morning everyone.
Cloudy with the sun peeping through today and looks like it is drying up after yesterday’s rain.
I’m hope to weed the front garden later.
Good luck with the nurse Mick. Wear you lightest weight clothes ?
I hope you all have a good day ?

Morning all from a sunny North Leicestershire.

Good luck with the Nurse, Mick.

Today promises to be busy at Lester Towers. Lots of planting to do, I need to collect my new glasses, deliver our 'party' glasses to the village library for their volunteer event and then an Alzheimers course this evening.

Good Morning All. Sunny here in Cheshire.

Good morning Mick and all who follow from a grey Glasgow.

Woken early by a text from DS1 and family to say they were safely on the plane for their holidays. We will have to go up later, put bins away and empty their fridge!
Half asleep, I started chatting to DH, only to find he wasn't there! Unusually, I hadn't even heard him getting up to play golf. grin

My first task this morning is to phone the pest control people. My neighbour has noticed, what he thinks are bees, going in and out of a pipe linked to our disused water tank in the loft. Two other neighbours have had similar problems. We will be leaving it to the professionels, I just hope it's not wasps!

My husband's golfing partner has invited me across for coffee later, she has just had a hip replacement and like me, is going "stir crazy"!

Good luck with your appointment, Mick,
Nankate, I hope the tooth is less painful.
Hopefully by this evening, you will have hot water, BlueSapphire smile

Off to put some bread in the breadmaker, hopefully ready in time for lunch!

Have a good day everyone.

Good morning one and all... I did a 5 mile run, 40 press ups, 50 step ups, 3 rounds on the punch bag..... then I woke up lying on the floor having been KOed by Ruiz. ..

Grammaretto Mon 03-Jun-19 06:56:53

Good morning all from the Scottish Borders. Looks cloudy and cool today.
I can't believe you've had to wait so long for your water tank Bluesapphire I hope it happens today.

DS has a job interview so we're all on tenterhooks.
Hope your appt goes well Mick a kg isn't much.
Have a good day everyone.

Good morning from a bright and sunny Birmingham. My grandaughter is still sleeping, and I think she will sleep on for a lot longer after her late night, so I am having a nice cup of tea. We are going to the Nature Centre this morning before her parents come to pick her up. I will go to my partner’s this evening.
Have a good day everyone!

Morning Mick and all. Good luck with the nurse Mick. Yes cloudy here in Kent but looks like sun is trying to get up. Monday is always busy domestic chores I just wish I could do them as quick as before. Have a good day everyone.

teabagwoman Mon 03-Jun-19 07:17:58

As BlueSaphire says it’s cloudy here in Northampton. Not needed at dd’s until later so I shall be catching up with chores. Good luck with your diabetes appointment Mick. Hope you finally get hot water BlueSaphire, totally agree with you about an hours weeding being enough, and hope you get your tooth fixed NanKate. Have a good day everyone.

Beautiful fresh morning here at the mo.Have been out taking photos of my Opium Poppies in the garden as they last but a few short hours some days.A drop of rain or a gust of wind can strip them bar of their petals. Off to the dentist a bit later just a check up then home to spend the rest of the day hopefully in the garden, so much to do, plants to pot on, lawns to cut, lots of deadheading of violas and marigolds, and the greenhouse needs some attention.Glad it is a cooler day that is forcast as makes it easier to stay outside for longer.

Morning Mick and All.

Birds singing, sun rising and a calm day here in South Bucks.

Thanks Mary I am now back on my 3rd lot of antibiotics and am waiting to hear from the Dentists when they can fit me in for an extraction. Only low level ache now. Hope your bees can be sorted out quickly.

You sound as if you are having a busy day Kitty. I always like getting new glasses.

NanKate Mon 03-Jun-19 07:28:32

Thanks Teabag I am getting very good service from my dentist. She even met me on Sunday morning in my town where she was meeting her mum, in order to give me a prescription ?

Good morning from east London, bright outside, with a breeze getting up. Need to get moving as have a hospital appointment this morning in town. Hopefully will manage to catch a bit of the French open (fingers crossed for Konta) before the school pickup. Have started to sort out a November break in Fuerteventura, just waiting for confirmation the dates are available before I book the flights etc. Have a good day.

Good morning to you all, the sun is coming through the hazy cloud not sure if it is going to spend the day with us, must wait and see. Had a lovely morning with friends at bowls yesterday, did not play, but foolishly I looked at the sun-cream in my locker and did not put any on, I now have a very red face and my nose will probably bloom later on.
Travelafar we too have opium poppies in the garden, I prefer the wild ones, and do not know where this one came from, but always does well, even though I try to move it every year (it is in the completely wrong place, right at the front of the border). It has 15 blooms and unfortunately the aphids have found it! My neighbour would like some seeds, not sure how to go about that, but nothing ventured nothing gained.
My grandson continues his cycle ride through France
and tells me every day of the lovely villages he is riding through and taking time to enjoy. A lot from me this morning, take care and enjoy our days

Urmstongran Mon 03-Jun-19 07:47:16

Good morning everyone from sunny Malaga. The Mediterranean looks beautiful this morning - I must make sure I swim in it soon instead of just looking at it! Perhaps we will have a beach day this week.

My ladies group this afternoon where we get together in a local bar for chat, laughter and wine - one of the best days of the week!
???

Hope Monday is good to us all whether we have plans or none. x

Alygran Mon 03-Jun-19 07:59:13

Good morning. Sunny and breezy here in a North Yorkshire. Heading south shortly to meet DD1 and DGS at the Yorkshire Sculpture Park. It’s about half way between us. Hope it stays dry.
Enjoy your day everyone.

Greyduster Mon 03-Jun-19 08:04:33

Good morning, Michael and all GNs. The sun is shining in South Yorkshire and we are hoping the work on our patio will be finished today, as the forecast for the rest of the week is dire. School run later this afternoon. Have a good day, one and all!

Greyduster Mon 03-Jun-19 08:05:31

Love the Yorkshire Sculpture Park, Alygran! Enjoy your visit!

EllanVannin Mon 03-Jun-19 08:05:32

Good morning All x
Sunny, breezy but at least brighter than the last few days.
Woke up earlier listening to an unusual birdsong which I couldn't make out but it was beautiful. It was about 5am or thereabouts. Not the usual blackbird or finches.

Must get stuck in to some real cleaning starting today, washing in between as long as the weather holds.
Shower first then must get cracking.

Hope all goes well with everyone as well as Mick at the surgery--a kg isn't so bad !

gillybob Mon 03-Jun-19 08:14:07

Good morning from the NE coast where we have a sunny but breezy start to the week.

A strange Monday for me, as after an exhausting whole weekend of childcare , I still have 2 of the older DGC here. The primary school has an in service day today (after a week off). I’m sure they think all parents can just take time off work fully paid, when of course they can’t . It’s hard enough covering 13 weeks holiday between us with 4 weeks annual leave but that another matter.

Anyway I am going to try and do 3-4 hours work today from home and go in all day tomorrow instead of my usual 5 hours in between the Tuesday school run. I’ll somehow have to see to my dad today instead of tomorrow too and as “a man of strict routine” he won’t be happy.

I’m slowly getting to the stage where I’m past caring and wonder if anyone thinks I might want or need to do something.

Sorry for rant.

I sincerely hope that your hot water is finally fixed today BlueSapphire the time you have waited is beyond ridiculous!

I hope you get your swim in the Med soon Urmstongran enjoy your ladies get together today.........I’m soooooo jealous.

Have a good Monday everyone x

oldgaijin Mon 03-Jun-19 08:23:39

Good morning from a bright but very breezy Aberdeenshire. The mutt is still curled up beside me. I think the garden beckons today but can only do a little at a time before the need for a rest...this chemo thing robs you of all energy, but weeding has to be done.
Yesterday's afternoon tea was a huge success...the Prosecco flowed and the little home baked were delicious.
Have a great day everyone.

ninathenana Mon 03-Jun-19 08:24:54

Morning everyone.
Hazy sunshine in Kent. DH will be cooking breakfast soon then off to the allotment in the hopes that someone has handed his phone into the office after he left it on the bench yesterday.
Phew kitty.....and breath. Hope that all goes to plan.
I hope nurses, dentists, gas men appointments go well too

MawBroonsback Mon 03-Jun-19 08:30:47

Good morning all from N Bucks where it is sunny with a bit if a breeze, what my mother would have always called “Good Drying Weather” , so I have popped a load in while I enjoy a mug of tea.
Fingers crossed for your hot water Blue Sapphire your wait has been truly appalling and with a British Gas service contract too?
Back to Art History this afternoon which is wall to wall pleasure. Our tutor is one of the nicest women, knowledgeable and a gifted communicator, and the others on the course (about 10 of us) just lovely people.
Wishing you all a pleasant day!
