Just watched Sean Bean on the Yorkshire Tea advert. Since when did they grow tea in Yorkshire? What adverts annoy you?

RosieLeah Wed 24-Jul-19 19:29:11

It would be easier to say which ones I like....as for Sean Bean..hasn't he come down in the world..is he really so desperate for a few quid?

That one with a man sat on a toilet with his wife/girlfriend near him, possibly about to have a shower, and a chap in what seems like fancy dress promoting not sure what as I avert my eyes. His pants are near his ankles and I think he flushes the loo at the end so I suppose we must be thankful for small mercies.??

The adverts that it seems acceptable for all women to piss themselves.

All toothpaste adverts!

moggie57 Sat 27-Jul-19 01:12:55

The holiday one that starts "these are the girls that love the water"
The LV insurance one
I could go on

The stupid one with the man clipping his hedge as his neighbours are working out - think it's an estate agent ad.

Perfume ads - just don't get them.

Any of those with the opera singing gent with the moustache - is it Go Compare?

The current TK Maxx ad

In fact I can't actually think of any I do like apart from the Meerkat 'pardon my claw' one which always makes me smile!

The one with the woman, dressed in red, who splits into different versions of herself (I think it is for a mobile phone company).

LullyDully Sat 27-Jul-19 07:45:57

The MOST annoying one is the one at the top of this page offering a £50 voucher. It is at the top of every thread and driving me mad.

Jane10 Sat 27-Jul-19 08:21:19

I agree LullyDulley! GN do something about it. It certainly doesn't work in my case.

I get frustrated by some of the ads on Classic fm. It is the only station that plays quiet music at bedtime, so I like to have it on as I drop to sleep; but hate being woken by a sudden jolly jingle about heamorrhoids.

harrigran Sat 27-Jul-19 09:08:12

Never see any adverts, we record all TV for the specific purpose of fast forwarding the adverts.

merlotgran Sat 27-Jul-19 09:13:11

When you think of all the money that is spent on TV adverts, it's funny that most of us can't remember the product because we're focusing on the things that annoy us.

I've mentioned this on another thread but poor old Graaaayummm climbing the stairs with a pile of clean laundry then being told he needn't bother makes me want to throttle his wife. grin

Grannybags Sat 27-Jul-19 09:14:10

Same here harrigran!

kittylester Sat 27-Jul-19 09:24:35

I quite like the sausage dog but have no idea what he is advertising.

We also like the girls in that pedal thing - it's a holiday company!

kittylester Sat 27-Jul-19 09:26:33

We are currently watching a lot of sky news - dh's preferred option - so there is no escape. I swap to bbc news given half a chance!

Blinko Sat 27-Jul-19 09:27:22

I loathe the meerkat ads, and that one with two Marcus Brigstockes. What's that about? No, don't tell me..

Bellasnana Sat 27-Jul-19 09:31:32

We’ve had a thread about this recently. Personally, I think there are far too many ads plugging the same thing. Funeral plans spring to mind, and equity release. Most are inane and make you wonder who on earth gets paid for coming up with such drivel.

sodapop Sat 27-Jul-19 09:50:56

I dislike the man on the lavatory ad.
The ad at the top of the page here is really annoying as well.

KatyK Sat 27-Jul-19 09:52:36

Things that make you go Wow makes me go Aargh. It seems to be on in every as break.

KatyK Sat 27-Jul-19 09:53:15

as break.

KatyK Sat 27-Jul-19 09:53:53

Goodness me - ad break!

ninathenana Sat 27-Jul-19 10:40:09

No ads on GN mobile site smile

H1954 Sat 27-Jul-19 10:51:49

The new Peugeot ad featuring a snake! ???????

goldengirl Sat 27-Jul-19 11:49:18

I'm sick to death of funeral plan ads
