Good Morning Everyone,
Yet another clear blue sky start here in Brackley this morning, I am in two minds whether to stay put and just watch the cycling or brave the heat which peaks around 3-4 this afternoon and do my usual bus trips to Buckingham and Bicester c/w water .
Mick

Morning Mick and everyone to follow.

20c already in Kent all though there is a very thin layer of cloud at the moment.
I'd stay put if I was you Mick. That's what I intend doing.

Morning All. Gorgeous sunrise this morning in Torbay, with no mist.
Hope you all have a good day.

Morning Mick, morning all.

North Leicestershire is already really, really hot. I would just stay put today mick unless you need to go out.

Carer's course for me this morning and Sainsbury's this afternoon - think I'll loiter by the chillers.

Dgd's end of year play was fantastic and the children had a ball performing in it. Hats off to their dedicated teachers.

Morning Mick and all. Yes I agree with the others stay put Mick it will be even hotter today. I am going to do just that stay by the fan and drink plenty of water. Hope everyone has a good day whatever you are doing and those of you feeling under the weather get better very soon.

Morning Mick and all.

Out for coffee with a friend who’s good at family tree research, where we’ll discuss tips etc, then pick up another friend for our ladies lunch group at local restaurant. Good to catch up with those I don’t see very often as I’m in Wales for some of the meet ups.

Enjoy your day everyone flowers

Good morning everyone from an already hot Essex by the sea. I'm off to Kent this morning to DD2's house to see both DD's and my five lovely granddaughters. I'm so looking forward to seeing them all together, it doesn't happen very often.
I hope and pray the roads, especially the M25 are ok.
Have a good day everyone and keep safe in the heat.

Urmstongran Thu 25-Jul-19 06:57:41

Good morning everyone from a beautifully sunny South Manchester. I slept brilliantly last night which is what I needed!

Last day minding the smalls by helping out - mummy’s school finishes this afternoon- must be one of the last in the country!

I adore them but it’s full on isn’t it (they are 7y and 2y). We only do it occasionally as we are not factored into regular childcare. Hats off to all you grans who do this routinely!
? ?

Hope Thursday is kind to us all whether we have plans or none. x

Good morning all from a muggy Glasgow. It's a positively mild 15°C, compared to Nina's 20°C

I have a hospital appointment in Glasgow, (car, train, bus), then meeting my sister in law in town to take back and item to JL.
We spent hours yesterday with customer service in the shop and online, trying to organise a new Kindle. It was complicated by the fact that my late BIL bought it and we had no paperwork, it was all digital and no-one knew the password to his laptop.
JL's customer service was exceptional. smile.

This also happened to a friend, whose husband had a stroke and died and his i-pad is locked, as no-one knows the passwords. It caused so much stress
Here endeth the lesson for the day! Don't keep your password a secret from a loved one. (Unless you have something to hide! ) grin

I think we may treat ourselves to lunch after all our business is done. Unfortunately no retail therapy for me, as Mr Mdoll will be there!!!

Take care in the heat folks, Mick perhaps best to stay at home.

Good morning from East London, where it’s bright and warm this morning and the patches of browning grass on the sports ground opposite are increasing. Tennis at 8.30 this morning, a special request following yesterday morning. DP has put in a request that we focus on clearing rooms for the builders this afternoon, quite a lot of stuff needs to go into the loft. Hey ho. And, on buses, after my brief trips to and from the hospital yesterday, I’d say avoid anything unless the air conditioning works. Have a good day.

Morning Mick, morning All. Hazy and warm in our corner of Somerset. Off to a quiet beach this morning with books, hats and water. Then not a lot. Hope the M25 behaves sar and Thursday is kind to everyone, be careful in the sun.

BlueSapphire Thu 25-Jul-19 07:14:52

Good morning everyone from a sunny and warm Northampton.

Will be staying in again today out of the sun, as I did yesterday, trying to keep cool. Although the cats and I went out into the back garden for a couple of hours in the evening once it was in shade. Will probably do the same again today. Nothing else planned for today, except Sainsbury's delivery later this morning.

Take care in the heat everyone.

Brunette10 Thu 25-Jul-19 07:19:24

Good Morning from a beautiful Fife. No wind, sun out. Surprisingly slept well last night, that's what happens when you have 2 x DGS's to look after for a day. Have a good day all.

NannyJan53 Thu 25-Jul-19 07:33:04

Good Morning from an already hot and sunny Black Country.

No real plans today, though I may drive over to Kingswinford and pop in to see the new friends we made on holiday. Retirement is flippin marvellous! smile

So pleased your SIL had a positive outcome at JL Marydoll . Surely you could suggest that MrDollwould like a nice cold drink in a local hostelry, whilst you pop to the shops smile

Enjoy your day with your 5 DGD's Sar53 , I have 4 DGD's and it is not often they all get together.

Have a good day everyone.

I agree with everyone Mick stay indoors today

Bellasnana Thu 25-Jul-19 07:35:04

Good morning all from a very hot Malta.

My friend left yesterday after a ten day visit, so today will be catching up with the things I’ve been needing to do. I’ve already done two loads of laundry, the ironing pile is teetering, and the whole place needs a good clean.
I have enjoyed having company, but it is always good to get back to one’s own routine.

Hope everyone has a good day. Keep safe in the heat. We are used to it here, but still adapt ourselves to the weather and avoid going out at the hottest time of the day. sunshine

Lins1066 Thu 25-Jul-19 07:36:17

Good Morning Mick and all from a very warm S Welsh coast. So hard to sleep last night.
It is 20C here too nina.

We had a lovely morning yesterday, we went to to Mumbles for a walk and lunch out.

Cleaner coming this morning, will have plenty of cold drinks for her.
Have a good day everyone.

Greyduster Thu 25-Jul-19 07:42:51

Good morning, Michael and all GNs. Wall to wall blue and warm already in South Yorkshire. We are off the child minding hook until Monday now, so today will be a do absolutely nothing day. We shall have a competition to see who can find the coolest part of the house (no shade in the garden) but I don’t think either of us will win! Have a good day folks and stay safe.

Triumph900 Thu 25-Jul-19 07:46:02

Morning everyone,
Beautiful morning here in sunny Suffolk. Enjoying sitting in the conservatory while I can as it'll be far too hot for it later .
Have a wonderful day all x

Grammaretto Thu 25-Jul-19 07:48:51

Good morning all from the Scottish Borders. Warming up even here but our highs will be 20s not 30s thank god.
Mick never mind watching the cycling, think of those poor cyclists!
Thanks for your good wishes yesterday. DH is off out early today working. It's a voluntary job but he has an overriding sense of duty and others are on holiday.
A charity is collecting old bikes today to mend/recycle them. make space
I hope you can all keep cool today. It can't last. wink
I hope you have more success than the CIA in getting into a locked device Marydoll!

GrannyGravy13 Thu 25-Jul-19 08:04:54

Good morning from SE Essex it is already 26degrees!!!!

D, GC and I are off to Lakeside Shopping Center today, as it is air conditioned, thankfully so are our cars.

Keep hydrated and safe x

Nortsat46 Thu 25-Jul-19 08:07:29

Good morning all. Grammaretto nice to see your positive sounding post.
My appt with Respiratory Physician yesterday went well and we have a clear plan to move forward. There will be some challenges but the plan is a good one.
We had a nice lunch out and enjoyed listening to music from 60's and 70's (Beatles, Stones, Who, Dylan ... etc) on Spotify on the lengthy journey home.
Arrived home in good spirits to find our poor cat Missy (aged 14.5 yrs) struggling to breathe. We rushed her to the Vet hospital, where she was diagnosed as having fluid on her lungs. This could be the result of infection, heart disease or cancer ... we have to wait for test results ...
Hope everyone has a good day and for people facing challenges ... sending you good thoughts ...?

Beechnut Thu 25-Jul-19 08:08:25

Good Morning everyone.
Very warm here on Severnside.
Yesterday’s diy job was unsuccessful so after doing a few more jobs I decided to clean the pebble fountain pump filter. That turned into a I’ll think I’ll give this area around it a revamp which will keep me occupied for a few days. I was very tired and slept well and woke late this morning.
Off to my craft class later.

Hopefully you will all try to stay as cool as you can ?

Auntieflo Thu 25-Jul-19 08:09:20

Good morning Michael, Annie to come and all others. Michael, don’t go out in the midday sun.
“Mad dogs of Englishmen”, and all that. Stay in and stay cool.
Cloudless blue sky and very warm already here in Berks.
DH has a treatment later this afternoon, and I have a Dr’s appointment, but nothing else planned. I shall sit in the shade and crochet, and think about what to eat later on.
Have a good day one and all.

Nannytopsy Thu 25-Jul-19 08:15:10

Good morning all! Of course it is lovely in Leicester, as everywhere else today. I don’t think we will be very active somehow! Have good days.

Nannytopsy Thu 25-Jul-19 08:17:35

Your poor cat Nortsat. Thinking of you thanks
