Good evening all, only just back after along day out on my bike. We were held up by an accident on the motorway but we were quite relaxed about it as we had a lovely day out.

The tour de France has finished so we didn't miss the catch up on the telly. Tomorrow is going to be a day of rest just pottering around the house. Will be in bed very early tonight.

Good afternoon, everyone. It was lovely and sunny here in Dublin this morning and I walked to and from my crafts group. I am hopeless at things crafty, but I enjoy it and the great conversations we have while there.
Now it has become very grey and ominous. Never mind, I only intend to potter about this afternoon. Cheers ☺

Good afternoon everyone from a beautiful south
Lincolnshire. Just done third load of washing before the

deserved cup of coffee.

Good morning from Fuerteventura, Canary Islands.
So exciting- just cleared out the fridge and yesterday hubby defrosted the freezer.
We live here but still have the household jobs to do.
Windy and warm but not too hot- just right to put the washing out and to do a spot of gardening later.

Best wishes to everyone wherever they live.

Marydoll Mon 29-Jul-19 11:51:04

Broadband sorted, passwords changed, account transferred and new Kindle connected to WIFI for SIL, whew!!! grin

It did make me wonder how bereaved people manage all these things, if they have no-one to support them.

The rain is coming down in torrents, but I'm off out on my own, my grand escape!

Legs55 Mon 29-Jul-19 11:24:40

Good morning all from sunny but very windy Devon, showers forecast later???? maybe/maybe nothmm. I've been out & done my shopping, back home by 9, lovely & quiet both in the shops & on the roads.

Off into garden for a walk round & deadhead whilst it's fine, housework later if weather changes, if not a session with my book sitting in the sun housework can wait for a wet day sunshinegrin

Urmstongran Mon 29-Jul-19 09:48:47

Love it Marydoll! That made me giggle.
?

A very good morning everyone from Malaga. It’s perfect weather today. A gorgeous sunny day, but unlike in Manchester for those 3 swelteringly humid days, we have fresh air too here. Simply the best.

Monday = Ladies meet up afternoon at 2pm in a local bar 5 minutes walk for me. I’m looking forward to catching up with my friends out here. Wine, tapas and laughter, what’s not to like?

Glad to hear you felt better yesterday oldgainjin I hope your oncology appointment goes well today.

And for all those of you who are feeling below par because of sadness or illness my thoughts are with you and I hope you feel a bit better soon. x

Hope Monday is good to us all whether we have plans or none. And gillybob good luck sorting out the childcare problems.

Grammaretto Mon 29-Jul-19 09:23:24

How very exciting Minniemoo!

I was the same, as was DD and DiLs aprt from one who was going to have a section with general anaesthetic and didn't want to be the last person to know if it would be a boy or a girl.

I hope, in that case, Marydoll that you don't have to spend too long on the phone!

Marydoll Mon 29-Jul-19 09:10:17

Minniemoo, as Brunette says, exciting day for you. I hope all goes well.
Grammaretto, you don't need to worry, I was IT co-ordinator in my school and my son and future son in law both work in IT , so among us all, we could start a wee IT business. grin.
From past experience, the most difficult part will be dealing with the broadband provider. angry

Brunette10 Mon 29-Jul-19 08:56:51

Minniemoo - how exciting - hope all goes well.

Brunette10 Mon 29-Jul-19 08:56:10

Good Morning from Fife where it's small drizzle - yuk. Warmish though. Have nurse today only for BP check, hopefully it will be fine. Nothing else planned but no doubt I won't be sitting on my backside for any length of time. Hope you get on fine oldgaijin and anyone else with medical appointments. Have a good day.

Minniemoo Mon 29-Jul-19 08:53:43

Quiet day for me too.

Not for my daughter in law though who will be having her second baby today. No idea what gender ... she's like I was and didn't want to know. So I shall be just pottering around until we hear the news.

Have a good day whatever you're doing!

Morning all from a sunny South Notts. I think it will be warm again after a wet weekend but hopefully not as intense as last week.
I really must, must, must vacuum the sitting room as I've been putting it off due to it being so hot. It really is a disgrace.
Hope all is well with everyone.

Morning Mick and all. Lovely day here in Essex. Busy with my friend today she has jobs to do around town then lunch by the sea. Hope everyone ok have a good Monday.

Greyduster Mon 29-Jul-19 08:35:31

Good morning, Michael and all GNs. Heavy rain here in South Yorkshire overnight by the look of it - my plants have their heads on the floor again, but we are promised a dry day! Hmm! I have some laundry to put out, a big pile of ironing to do ready for our forthcoming few days away, and I think that will be enough for me today! We usually have GS on Mondays, but he is off on an outing with friends today. Have a happy day, folks.

harrigran Mon 29-Jul-19 08:34:48

Good morning from a damp NE. More of the same weather that made our Air show a non event as far as flying was concerned.
GD with us today but at a loss as to what we can do in the rain especially as her Dad said we were to make sure she ran around to burn some energy hmm
DD rang me yesterday, from her home overseas, a lovely surprise and cheered me up after an iffy week.

Grammaretto Mon 29-Jul-19 08:13:58

Hope the appt goes ok oldgaijin DH is seeing the nurse for bloods today too.
You are brave Marydoll to tackle broadband and passwords! I would get someone in who finds these things easy.

Pantglas1 Mon 29-Jul-19 08:12:23

Lovely morning here in Spain and I’m on my second cuppa contemplating my navel! Off for afternoon tea at a local bar later on but just pootling this morning - have a good day peeps.

gillybob Mon 29-Jul-19 08:06:51

The weather is the same here in the North East EllanVannin . No point in planning any summer outdoor activities as you can almost guarantee they will be spoilt by the rain. I have had heaps of washing this weekend and had to dry it all over the house .

Sar53 Mon 29-Jul-19 08:04:45

Good morning everyone from a very bright and sunny Essex by the sea. Food shopping this morning. My husband's eldest daughter's birthday today so it will be a family gathering later this afternoon. Her husband's family from Argentina are holidaying here at the moment so there will be lots of Spanish speaking adults and children in the mix. Should be interesting.
Have a good day everyone.

EllanVannin Mon 29-Jul-19 08:00:56

Good Morning All x
Nothing else to say about the weather except that it's rubbish ! Rain Saturday ( all day ) Sunday ( all day ) and the forecast for the rest of the week up to and including next Sunday-------is rain !!
No wonder we in the NW are a miserable lot. It's depressing.

Woke earlier with the noise of the seagulls overhead squawking their heads off, what a din they make. I'd much rather listen to the blackbird.

Some phoning to do today and also D will be popping in on one of her rare days off so we may have a browse around the shops. I need another " stick " electric mixer and also a shredder as these are two items that seem to wear out quickly.

Enjoy your day everyone.

Morning All

High cloud here in Norfolk and cooler.

Nothing planned for today apart from getting the washing dry. Have a good one everybody.
