I haven't had a week break from work in over a year and am exhausted.

I have booked the end of August and don't want to go away- I just want to sleep! I may decorate - been putting it off for ages- what else can I do?

I need rest but dont want mundane things

There are some great ideas here - and the first day is a pyjama day/takeaway, TV and knitting.

Definitely no housework or decorating- in work I have to do jobs and decorating would be a chore like work.

I have arranged a walk with friends and am arranging lunch/exhibition with another friend.

I could get used to being on holiday .....

Have a great time! I was going to add I think it's important not to stay at home because you are then surrounded by all the things you could or should be doing. You do need to get away for days if not nights.
We stayed in an airbnb for just one night in a place a little far for a day trip. It felt like a real holiday, being able to walk along the beach in the early morning..

With all respect EmilyHarburn I can think of many more enjoyable ways of spending and enjoying a “staycation” grin
