I agree with nice gentle rain showers between say 3.00 and 4.30 am, enough to water everything that needs it and then sunshine, but not too hot. If we had temperate weather there would surely be sufficient clean water for all and ample food too.

It would nice if an extra shield could be put around the world to stop global warming. Somehow balance out the CO2 and pollution levels and seal it at the correct level.

Hard to pick one thing....

No one to ever go hungry

I'll see what I can do Fran3669 wink

Fran3669 Fri 09-Aug-19 20:57:09

If we can have longer daylight hours at the end of the day is there any chance it could start nice and early too as I’m up at 4.20am two or three times a week and it’s so much easier when it’s light outside?

More rivers and lakes would be wonderful too, although I can’t complain about a lack of (sea) water where I live as we’re on a headland!

Bathsheba Fri 09-Aug-19 20:55:39

Exactly trisher. And I imagine he'd have to be responsible for the geography and planetary arrangement of the entire galaxy to ensure we had daylight until at least 8.00pm every day, lol! But that's still what I'd be striving for wink

PamelaJ1 Fri 09-Aug-19 20:31:34

Trisher is correct. Slartibartfast doesn’t do love and peace! I think that most people on here haven’t watched or read the HH G to the Galaxy!
I think mountains and lakes. Fresh water is so precious.

POGS Fri 09-Aug-19 20:21:40

Teeth would be made of plastic and never wear out.

It would rain between midnight and 6am.

M0nica Fri 09-Aug-19 20:10:15

Geography affects weather - and water supplies and available agricultural land.

trisher Fri 09-Aug-19 19:36:27

Isn't it the geography Slartibartfast is responsible for and not the ethos, weather or other features? He specialised in fjords.

MrsJamJam Fri 09-Aug-19 19:33:46

My father - keen gardener - always said that if he was God he would have organised it so that it always rained overnight on Wednesday and fine otherwise. Then there would be enough rain for the growing things but daytime plans would never be messed up. Seems a good idea to me sunshine

WOODMOUSE49 Fri 09-Aug-19 19:29:07

Sufficient rain for the trees, grass, flowers, fruit and vegetables to grow all year round throughout the world.

BlueBelle Fri 09-Aug-19 19:26:23

Peace and love no matter what the colour or creed

Bathsheba Fri 09-Aug-19 19:21:10

M0nica spot on. There is enough food already, it's just not distributed evenly.

And actually, I should have said, what we're looking for here are physical attributes of the planet, not characteristics or health conditions of the people living on it smile

WOODMOUSE49 Fri 09-Aug-19 19:08:11

Doodle has said it all for me but I'd add

No dementia / alzheimers.

M0nica Fri 09-Aug-19 17:46:58

Adequate water. Unfortunately lack of food is a political issue, not a resources problem.

dragonfly46 Fri 09-Aug-19 17:08:16

Tolerance and acceptance.

Bathsheba Fri 09-Aug-19 17:05:28

trisher I have to admit that would run a close second to the daylight hours!

DanniRae Fri 09-Aug-19 13:58:59

Enough food for everyone

trisher Fri 09-Aug-19 13:24:52

I'd make sure every country/continent/plot of land had easy access either to an ocean, a river, or a large stretch of water. (I know it's probably virtually impossible but the mice have assured me every effort will be made to do this.

Doodle Fri 09-Aug-19 12:46:01

Oh thank you for pointing that out. I thought it was a typo ?
For me it would be a world of grass, trees and flowers in abundance to lift our spirits.

Bathsheba Fri 09-Aug-19 12:34:25

..... what is the single most important feature you would include if you could design our world? For me it would have to be that the sun never sets earlier than 8.00 pm throughout the year wink
