Morning Mick

I’m off to Waitrose later across the water to Menai Bridge, hopefully the weather will hold off til I get home. Curry with a friend tonight after popping to see if my dad has caught any trout for me!

Have a lovely day everyone x

Good morning everyone. Looking damp again in the Lakes. Going home today and looks set to be a wet journey.

Lovely sunny day yesterday on the boat on Windermere, and we had a nice walk around Ambleside. We returned to the cottage via Wrynose and Hardknott passes, which, though the scenery was magnificent, was a bit scary in places!

Hope all goes well today for everyone.

Good Morning from a very grey and cloudy Black Country.

Had a lovely day with DGD's yesterday, took them to a Craft Café where they painted a pottery figure each. Then lunch in their village local as all meals are half price in August! Then time in the park as it was a lovely sunny day.

I had a lovely few days in Coniston with DD and family last week BlueSapphire luckily it only rained on the Tuesday, but woke up to heavy rain when travelling back last Friday. Hope you have a good journey home.

Today I am taking Mum to visit her sister who has sadly been diagnosed with Lung cancer sad.

Wishing everyone a pleasant day.

Good morning from North Leicestershire where we have torrential rain forecast!

Had a lovely morning with 2 gners yesterday - I think we could have talked for twice as long.

This morning I have ironing to do and this afternoon i am going to an afternoon tea celebration for a friend's 70th birthday.

Dh's trip to the T20 looks like being a washout - again!

harrigran Fri 16-Aug-19 07:03:24

Good morning from an overcast NE.
Been awake most of the night with pain and been up since 5am so as not to disturb DH. Bad bout this time as I am being sick as well.
New garden table being delivered today, can't see it being used this summer.

Beechnut Fri 16-Aug-19 07:13:43

Good Morning all.
A cloudy dry start but rain forecast later.
A walk out today with my DD’s dog. He is staying for a few days with me. If it rains I will do some crafting and try to start on a mosaic piece that I made the tile for long ago.
I hope you feel better soon harrigran ? and hope you all have a good day ?

cornergran Fri 16-Aug-19 07:37:56

Morning Mick, morning All. It seems very dark in our corner of Somerset, the rain has just begun, apparently not stopping all day. Physio this afternoon, ironing and sorting first. Sorry you’ve been ill harri, hope Friday is kind to everyone.

Lins1066 Fri 16-Aug-19 07:41:19

Good Morning Michael and all.
Grey start on S Welsh coast. We have a yellow weather warning for torrential rain by 9 and lasting all day. Think we will defer food shopping until tomorrow and clean the fridge instead.
harrigan hope you feel better soon. ?
Gilly it's Friday, hooray ?

Good Morning from a wet Fife. As expected today's weather isn't going to be nice. Ah well, car is going in for it's MOT today so have an early start. DD and DGS's are coming along and we are going out for lunch, the library and to the big department store we have in our home town which I love. Hopefully it'l be a good day for all.

Brunette10 Fri 16-Aug-19 07:45:43

Morning Mick and All.

Calm and mild in South Bucks. Just had a lovely few days in Leicestershire and met up with a couple of smashing Gransnetters for a coffee and girls’ chat.

Hope you are feeling better Harri being sick is awful.

Off to buy food for this coming week as the troops are arriving tomorrow. And as my eldest GS said ‘don’t forget the pain au chocolate Nan’ would I ever ?

What a good time you seem to have had with your family too NannyJan

Good morning from a very grey and wet North East. Where we have heavy rain forecast all day (again). Jeez.

Anyway I’m off to “that place” in about half an hour but will have one eye on the clock and the other on the door (crossed eyed) waiting for the home time bell to ring inside my head grin

The usual Friday PM chores of taking my dad shopping (yes I know) but then it’s home and that wonderful feeling I have when the whole weekend is still in front of me.

I’ve got a couple of people coming later to pick up some bits n bobs I have advertised on Freecycle so will be happy to see them go to new homes rather than the tip.

To all those on holiday, I hope you continue to have a lovely time, to those waiting to go on holiday I bet you are counting the minutes smile

I am so sorry to hear you have had a bad night again Harri and I hope the scan results reveal the problem and it can be sorted soon. You can’t go on like this.

Thank you Brunette10 you didn’t think I would forget did you? smile

Have a good Friday everyone !

Minniemoo Fri 16-Aug-19 08:04:27

Morning all. It's rather chilly! But I am looking forward to having a peaceful day. Had the grandsons for 2 days this week and it's been hectic, to say the least.

Happy Friday to one and all smile

Marydoll Fri 16-Aug-19 08:13:56

Good morning all from a very wet Glasgow.

What a difference from yesterday, we had a very pleasant trip down the coast with DGD yesterday, we came home in the early afternoon to avoid the forecast thunderstorms, ?which didn't happen!

Off to the supermarket and then meeting a friend for lunch. Another group of friends wanted to meet up tonight, but two meet ups in one day much for me. I'm still experiencing bad episodes of exhaustion, caused by my RA and lunch today will take some effort, but it will be so worth it.
It is in the newly refurbished venue, where my daughter is having her wedding. They have spent millions on it and I'm off to do a reccie! grin.

Dear Harri, I hope you can get all this sorted soon. Chronic pain and sickness takes over your life and make it very difficult to lead a normal life. Hopefully you will get some respite soon. flowers

Gilly, nearly the weekend!

Safe journey to all those travelling today.

Nannytopsy Fri 16-Aug-19 08:17:26

Morning everyone!
thanksHarrigran
We packed one car with dozens of plants yesterday to take to our son’s today. There they will lodge until we get in to our new home. There are a few more to go in the other car, along with stuff. We are going to babysit for the weekend, as both adults are working, but we also have to take daughter’s dog as we are looking after her too ?.
Before we go I have more rockets to fire at the solicitors. We asked to exchange next week and complete the week after and they have promptly gone non contact!

Urmstongran Fri 16-Aug-19 08:17:48

Good morning everyone from sunny Malaga. Everyone was saying yesterday how perfect this weather is now and is set to continue for the next fortnight at east. It’s glorious with fresh air but no wind or humidity which makes sleeping easier too. We may even venture out of this beautiful garden soon!

You must be feeling awful harrigran I do hope you feel better soon.

I love your ‘yippee’ cartoon gillybob it makes me smile every week.

Hope Friday is good to us all whether we have plans or none. x

aggie Fri 16-Aug-19 08:18:21

Harrigran I hope you are better soonxxx

Greyduster Fri 16-Aug-19 08:21:51

Good morning, Michael and all GNs. Grey but dry in South Yorkshire today. Doubt we’ll see the sun. Woke up at some unearthly hour feeling very wobbly. Hope I’m not coming down with something.
Sorry to hear you’re not well, Harri; hope you pick up during the day?. Have a good one folks.

Resurgam123 Fri 16-Aug-19 08:31:34

Oh B I have just lost my post.
Good morning All.
I have been pottering about on the BBC Gardeners Forum which is excellent if a little tricky to navigate.

One of the more knowledgable gardeners have properly identified one of my plants I had thought for the last 9 months was a weed .
It is well worth using. There are so many people out there who know much more than I do.

Sprout Fri 16-Aug-19 08:39:26

Sorry to hear you are unwell Harri better very soon

Anniebach Fri 16-Aug-19 08:50:58

Good morning from east London, looking grey outside but about to go out for my third attempt to play tennis this week. Time has been brought forward to 9.30 so maybe the coach has been looking at the forecast too. Nothing else planned for today. Have a good one.
