Hello

Beechnut Mon 30-Sep-19 07:02:00

Good Morning everyone.

I thought Mick would be back today.
It is dry and the sky is red, looks very dramatic.

I think I’ll have a big potter today. There are things to tidy up and my craft desk is so untidy I can’t work on it so I’ve moved over to the sewing desk and that is getting as bad.

Best wishes to you all and hope that poorly ones are feeling better ?

Good morning Beechnut and all to follow. Went to bed early and slept well, so I am awake bright and early. Beautiful morning in Suffolk but chilly. Curtains to collect and shopping to be done today. I started some sourdough last night so that will need attention too. Hope everyone has a good day.

Morning All

Dry start here in Norfolk but more rain forecast this afternoon.

I'm off to stand in a darkened room at our local NT stately pile and chat to all the interesting visitors. I haven't been for ages so I hope I've not forgotten everything.

Marydoll Mon 30-Sep-19 07:10:10

Good morning Beechnut and all who follow. It's only 6 degrees here in Glasgow, brrrrrr! the heating is going full pelter.

It's our 42nd wedding anniversary today, DH is off to play golf, (in the dark!) and his gift to me is peace and quiet for a few hours.
He has given me some lovely jewellery, so I'm not complaining!
If he is not too exhausted, (poor lamb), we will go out for lunch and get him measured for his kilt for our daughter's wedding in March.
He is the only male, in both families, who has not been measured, so I have resorted to subterfuge to get him there. wink. He thinks he is going for a nice lunch, (little does he know!)

Gilly, I hope both you and your husband are feeling a bit better. Susan, I saw a picture in Soop's kitchen of your new grandson and your wee granddaughter. Delightful!

Enjoy your day, whatever your plans.

Good morning Beechnut perhaps Mick is still drying out. I read that the cyclists said it was like cycling in a lake!

Pottering and packing for me today. Just opened the blinds and it's clear skies in Cheshire. Hurray! A dry day would be nice.

Have a good day and take care if you're not feeling too well.

Congratulations to Marydoll & MrM!

Congratulations Mrs and Mr Marydoll!

Good morning all from the Scottish Borders where the dawn is breaking. I'm meeting a beekeeper today who may have hives at the community garden. Then community lunch and I'm teaching a small class this afternoon.
My SiL is in town so we'll invite her to tea.
Now with all that ahead, I'll lie down.
Happy anniversary Marydoll

Good Morning from a lovely bright Fife, it's cold but at least it's dry. Congratulations Marydoll and your DH. He's in for a treat today then wink. Meeting friend for catch up this morning then my hearing test, not sure what to expect but I now have to admit openly I need assistance with my hearing. Anyway I hope everyone has a good day whether they are up to.

BlueSapphire Mon 30-Sep-19 07:24:04

Good morning everyone from a dry and bright Northampton; don't know how long it will last though.

Yoga followed by coffee and chat this morning. Then just pottering. Which could mean just sitting and reading!

I enjoyed the film of 'The Goldfinch ' yesterday, by no means as dire as the reviews make out. Too long, though, needed editing, (like the book!).

Have a good day everyone.

BlueSapphire Mon 30-Sep-19 07:25:07

Congratulations, Mr and Mrs Marydoll!

Teal Mon 30-Sep-19 07:32:01

Congratulations to Mr and Mrs Marydoll
It’s bright and chilly in the NE this morning.
I have someone coming this morning to look at my central heating , it’s not working properly, hopefully a quick(and cheap) job. Then work this afternoon and roast chicken for dinner.
Have a lovely Monday everyone.

Alygran Mon 30-Sep-19 07:37:25

Good morning from dry sunny North Yorkshire. After yesterday’s deluge it is very welcome. Was out last night to see a film (Mrs Lowry) and the river Swale was up to the top of its banks. I think Mick is heading home today.
Congrats to the Marydolls.
Last cooking course today so off early to help set up. Then popping to the supermarket for ingredients to make the C cake. I need to do it before I go away on Friday.
Have a good day everybody.

ninathenana Mon 30-Sep-19 07:42:17

Good morning everyone.
A sunny start in Kent but it won't last.
Feel sorry for Mick and everyone in Harrogate yesterday, news footage of the race conditions looked terrible.
No plans for today.

Congratulations Mr &Mrs Marydoll hope you have a lovely day.

kittylester Mon 30-Sep-19 07:44:00

Morning all from a brightish North Leicestershire. The forecast is for more rain - presumably just as I leave the hairdressers!

First job today though is ringing the roofman!

Congratulations Mr&MrsMarydoll - have a lovely day.

ninathenana Mon 30-Sep-19 07:44:08

Aligran we had flood warnings for the Swale yesterday.

GrannyGravy13 Mon 30-Sep-19 07:46:50

Goodmorning all x

Congratulations Mr & Mrs marydoll

Not sure what the weathers like, curtains are closed!!

Not sure what we are doing today, think it's going to be a funny old day?

Pantglas2 Mon 30-Sep-19 07:53:24

Lovely blue sky in north Wales this morning folks and I’d like it to stay that way as we’re off out later. Happy anniversary Marydoll and mister - that’s a good innings!

Good day and good weather to all x

Urmstongran Mon 30-Sep-19 07:58:00

Good morning everyone from a dry and bright South Manchester. The sky is streaked in apricot colours and looks very pretty. Commuters arriving across the road at the railway station for their morning trains into Manchester or on the other platform, Liverpool.

At least day 2 of the Conservative party conference will be dry. All the protesters yesterday afternoon got soaked in the deluge.

Happy anniversary to the Marydolls hope you both enjoy your lunch out.

Good luck sorting your hall roof today kitty - with all the rain recently it’ll be good to get it done, especially as winter is on its way.

Hope Monday is good to us all whether we have plans or none. x

EllanVannin Mon 30-Sep-19 07:58:01

Good Morning All x
Damp everywhere but a bright morning with some red sky first thing-----red sky in the morning sailors ( shepherds ? ) warning, so not such a good omen.

More straightening out of the place but I still have my mountain of linen in the bedroom until the cupboard is painted in order to put it all back, since the tank was removed last Thursday. I'm so grateful for the central heating but I couldn't go through all that disruption again.

D will pay a visit today as she was working yesterday so couldn't make it.

I can hear a robin twittering---another sign of winter as he's around early but it's lovely to hear.I bet its little throat is going like the clappers. I love the bird-song.

Best wishes Mr and Mrs Marydoll enjoy the day ( peace )
To everyone else have a good start to the week.

Sar53 Mon 30-Sep-19 07:58:05

Good morning everyone from a bright and sunny Essex by the sea. OH off to the doctors shortly to try and get an appointment for today. I have some food shopping to get, then housework and ironing. What an exciting life !!!

Sar53 Mon 30-Sep-19 07:58:55

Sorry meant to say congratulations to Marydoll and her husband.

cornergran Mon 30-Sep-19 08:00:42

Morning All. Heavy sky over our corner of Somerset. Flood warnings here too with more heavy rain due. Anyone got an ark? Felt for mick yesterday. I’m happy as the lurgy is leaving, whoopee. Celebrating with coffee and lunch with a GN friend today postponed from last week. Truly need a sort and tidy but that can wait. Congratulations to Mr and Mrs marydoll, hope both lunch and subterfuge work well and Monday is kind to everyone.

harrigran Mon 30-Sep-19 08:01:52

Good morning from a beautiful, sunny NE.
DD rang me from her home abroad yesterday and we had a long chat, a nice surprise as she leads a busy life with a lot of travelling.
DH has been busy with paperwork and I have watched rather a lot of TV this weekend but the weather was poor.
Happy anniversary to the Marydolls.
