Good Morning Mick and all who follow.

It’s dark and wet on Severnside this morning. I’m just sitting up in bed with my first cup of tea with the curtains open and I shall be able to see the sunrise.

I will probably do some housework today and then have a play about with my craft item purchases from yesterday.

I hope you all enjoyed your weekend and have a good day ?

Morning Mick Beechnut and All.

Snap Beechnut just had my first sip of tea and will also watch the sunrise here in South Bucks. Hope you can get yourself back on track Mick since your hols.

I am trying to decide if I will go to Keep Fit or not. Had a rather queasy feeling yesterday with a low lying headache and I still feel a bit dodgy. Maybe my cuppa and a whiz through my IPad will get things back to normal.

Have a good week folks.

Good morning everyone.
Just light enough to see that the sky is clear over Kent.
I need to do some paperwork today and a bit of tidying.
Have a good day everyone. I hope Marydoll and anyone else poorly is feeling a little better today.

Morning Mick, morning All from a dark, damp and draughty corner of Somerset. Catch up day today for me. Nothing exciting. Hope Monday is kind to everyone.

Good morning - a magnificent red sky here in Leicestershire which as the saying goes does not bode well.

Going to see mum today and take shampoo and conditioner so she can have her weekly hairdo.

Then to M&S to pick up a couple of orders.

Good Morning from a dull and rainy Black Country. Just back from taking partner to train station for work!

Back to earth with a bump! Arrived back from Croatia yesterday afternoon, lovely country, people very friendly and so clean...no litter anywhere!

Today finish unpacking and washing, and hope to pop over to seem Mum this afternoon, as we were away for 2 weeks.

Wishing everyone a good day

NannyJan53 Mon 07-Oct-19 07:26:18

Good morning all- still dark here in north Wales and like some of you I’m sitting up in bed with my chamber pot of tea awaiting sunrise!

Not a lot planned today- might clear out a cupboard or two. It amazes me how they seem to fill themselves!

Have a good day everyone x

Good morning all from a relatively mild, but windy Glasgow, it's 13 degrees. DH has abandoned his golf, so things must be bad. This is the man who plays in fog with orange golf balls! grin

After a very hectic weekend with DGD, (including an indoor bear hunt, complete with nets and head torch), I plan to spend the day lying in a darkened room.
Unknown to me, DD and future SIL had let themselves in the back door and hid under the table with a bear, in preparation for the bear hunt.
I wandered in to the kitchen, unaware they were there and nearly found myself back in the coronary care unit, as they jumped out!!! ?

Thank goodness for my daughter and her fiance, they took over, made lunch and entertained the wee one, actually it may have been the other way around.
My sister in law came round with all the ribbons for DS1's 40th birthday present with her son, who was up from London, so that was a nice surprise, as I hadn't seen him since his dad died.
My son has reverted back to childhood and wanted his wife to wrap his new golf clubs in ribbons and of course his wife didn't know how to make the very large bow required! I'm trying to bite my tongue!!!

However, some good came out of it, I persuaded my daughter to take my summer clothes up the loft and get my heavier things down. I worry when DH goes up, he still thinks he is the fit, handsome young man I married. wink
My future SIL couldn't fathom out why the winter clothes were in boxes, labelled, Summer clothes. grin.
I knew what the labels meant, that's all that matters! wink

Thank you for your kind wishes, Nina, I promise to be more upbeat tomorrow! I'm having a wallowing day! grin

Have a good day folks, Gilly, I hope you are feeling a wee bit better today, you are a remarkable woman. Auntieflo, remember what I said about doing as you are told and for all those with worries, flowers.

Good morning all from the Scottish Borders where it's blowing a hoolie.
Nothing special planned so a quiet day indoors . Have a good Monday everybody.

Morning from a dull but dry Fife. Rained all day yesterday so hopefully drier today. No plans as yet for today but won't sit on my laurels wink will find something to do. DD starts her work today after 14 months Mat leave - oh dear sad. Hope everyone has a good day.

Good Morning to Mick and all.
Overnight rain here on S Welsh coast after a lovely breezy day yesterday, did loads of washing.
A little shopping later this morning and a visit to a nice coffee shop is on the cards for us.
Hope you are ok this morning gilly and not too overwhelmed by that Monday morning feeling.

Good morning all from a very grey Northampton; it looks as though we had some rain overnight. There was a lovely sunrise earlier, which quickly disappeared.

Yoga this morning with a coffee and chat afterwards. Might start swapping summer and winter wardrobes around this afternoon.

Not a good day rugbywise yesterday, as Saints lost, so we are virtually out of the competition we won last season. And it felt really cold, so winter parka and thermals on for the next match I think. Still I had a lovely warming hotpot and a glass of red to come home to!

Hope everyone's day goes well.

Good morning from a very wet, grey and cold NE coast.

I will be off to “that place” in about half an hour , can’t wait.

A week of childcare, breakfast cafes and school runs lie ahead.

I had one of my walks by the sea last night to see if I could get this sadness out of my system but I think it might’ve made me feel worse.

Thank you Lins and Marydoll smile

Have a good Monday everyone x

Morning all from a very soggy North Leicestershire. We had the gorgeous red sky that dragonfly mentioned but it is now just grey.

Someone asked about when our roof is being repaired - the slater is very busy (no surprise there) and has given dh a couple of tips for temporary respite. We have to wait for a string of dry days first. hmm

Pootling and faffing morning then lunch at the pub at the top of the road with ex-volunteering friends.

Hope you feel better soon kate. Nice to see you back jan and watch out for bears marydoll!

kittylester Mon 07-Oct-19 08:11:11

(((Hugs))) gilly.

dragonfly46 Mon 07-Oct-19 08:16:44

Susan56 Mon 07-Oct-19 08:20:30

Good morning from Shropshire.A drizzly start to the day.
My husband is off to physio this morning and I have a friend coming over for coffee.
We were thinking of going to Powis Castle this afternoon for a walk in the gardens but will see how the weather is.
Gilly,I am sorry you are still feeling sad.I think you are pretty amazing in all you do but having been unwell yourself and the ongoing worry about when your husband will have his operation have brought you down.I hope that you start to feel better and wish I could help but know that I and all your gransnet friends are supporting you and wishing you better?

Nannytopsy Mon 07-Oct-19 08:24:53

flowers Gilly - I went through a phase where every morning I was tempted to get in the car as normal and drive in the wrong direction and lose myself for the day. Eventually took early retirement and I have never looked back. I even found new jobs afterwards.
Shopping today ready for visitors.

moggie Mon 07-Oct-19 08:27:31

Good morning from a grey NE.
Another difficult night with back pain and probably a day of not much activity.
Thinking of you gilly, I bet the sea was rough yesterday.
