Morning Mick and all to follow.

Raining with a few distant lightning flashes here in Kent.
DH had emptied the mower and put it away until spring but the grass is still growing and the plan was to mow it today, er, I don't think so.
Have a good day everyone. Thinking of those with troubles.

ninathenana Mon 21-Oct-19 06:30:32

Morning aggie I got up then too.

kittylester Mon 21-Oct-19 06:34:40

Morning all from a wet North Leicestershire.

Up early so dh can get to the gp to, hopefully, get an appointment this morning.

Ds1 and I are trying a new cafe in town this morning. It says it does good gf - we'll see.

Hoping to hear good news from gilly.

Good morning Mick and everyone. Been up and made tea but not looked out yet. Going to prepare a friend's house for his return this week from a very long stay in hospital. It needs a lot of TLC. I have a list and will just work through it.

I think I may treat myself to a trip to the Cheshire Oaks shopping outlet later for some new boots before winter arrives. That's the plan anyway.

Sending warm wishes to Gillybob and her DH and all who may be feeling poorly or down today. xx

Good morning - although it still feels like the middle of the night! It feels windy but not actually raining based on the fact that Hattie’s fur was still dry after her morning “sortie” into the garden.
“Yesterday” is a lovely film, Mick - good choice.
Wishing you and all to come, a pleasant day!

Brunette10 Mon 21-Oct-19 07:13:51

Good Morning all from a dark Fife, no idea what the weather is like but def not raining smile. Could have slept on this morning, busy weekend with DD and DGS's however have a journey to make which requires an early start. Hope to hear some news this morning from gilly too, keeping fingers crossed. Hope everyone has a pleasant Monday..

Marydoll Mon 21-Oct-19 07:14:39

Good morning all from a foggy Glasgow and it's -1 degree! Brrrrr ?

No plans for today, I have scones to make for the beef cobbler, I may clear out a cupboard and my darling children keep dropping hints about making sure my emergency hospital bag is up to date and easily accessible ?, so sorting that is on the agenda!
The last time I needed it, it was at the bottom of the linen cupboard under the hidden Christmas presents! Well I knew where it was, I just wasn't in any fit state to tell them!! grin

Ginny, I haven't been at Cheshire Oaks in twenty years, I'm jealous. envy I do love an outlet!

Hoping for better news from Gilly and her DH, hope your husband manages to get an appointment, Kitty.

Enjoy your day everyone and for those struggling, flowers.

Good morning everyone from a very wet Essex by the sea. There is nothing worse than a wet Monday morning.
I need to do a small food shop today. DH has a hospital appointment at 16.30. Not much else planned.
Have a good day everyone.

Good morning all; it's been raining here in Northampton as well, so I can't cut the grass today as planned. Not got another free day this week till next Sunday and goodness knows how long it will be then.

Spent three hours out in the garden yesterday and got quite a few overgrown shrubs cut back and tidied up.

No plans for today except washing and clean the bathrooms. Oh and make a list of stuff I want for the new cloakroom, then I can ring the fitter up and get things moving.

Hope there is good news today for poorly and worried folks.

Morning all above and those to come - not sure what weather is doing as I haven’t got up yet although I’ve been awake since 6am.

Off to Asda for my flu jab and meet up with DD for coffee then home to prep a late Sunday lunch (I know I’m a day late but couldn’t be bothered yesterday!)

Hope everyone has a good news day today x

Good morning all. I feel awful. I forgot to take my paracetamol last night. They are still in my dressing gown pocket.
I really need them at night, or my back is awful.
Getting old and decrepit is miserable.

Lins1066 Mon 21-Oct-19 07:33:11

Good Morning from the S Welsh coast where it is dry after overnight rain.
That's a cold start Marydoll, beef cobbler sounds delicious.

We have DS's little spaniel staying for a couple of days, DH will take her for a walk later.
Hope everyone will have a good day. Best wishes to Gilly and her DH.

Good Morning all.
It’s just getting light and has been raining.

I’ve had a good weekend doing things in my garden. I even sat out for a while with a G&T.

I might tidy the shed up and do some pottering. My brother will pop in later.

Let’s hope we all have a good day and thinking off you giilybob ?

Morning Mick, morning All. Can see rain on the window in our corner of Somerset but the forecast is good so hoping for a dry day. Food shop and major catching up, did absolutely nothing yesterday so must get sorted. Thinking of gilly and her husband, don’t overdo it marydoll and hope Monday is kind to everyone.

Beechnut Mon 21-Oct-19 07:38:23

Of and gillybob.....I need to open my eyes.

Good Morning from a dull but dry Black Country.

Already been out to drop Partner to train station!

Walking for Health walk this morning, then probably tackle the ironing this afternoon.

Hoping to hear positive news from gillybob and for her to know she is still in my thoughts.

Wishing everyone a good day

NfkDumpling Mon 21-Oct-19 08:01:06

Morning All

Overcast and mizzly with a brisk NE wind here in the north of Norfolk.

Nothing planned today apart from a reflexology appointment this afternoon. A Me day!

NfkDumpling Mon 21-Oct-19 08:01:57

Oh, and don’t overdo it Marydoll. Clearing out cupboards indeed!

NfkDumpling Mon 21-Oct-19 08:02:15

Good morning from a clear calm Glasgow but as you say Marydoll, big drop in temperature noticed when I let the cat out and a waft of cold air hit me!

Five hours sleep seems to be the norm for me now so I just go with it. A sit down with my book later in the day and I doze off reluctantly having to put my book down which I am trying to read with one eye closed?

Hope everyone has a pleasant day and those unwell feel some improvement today

More positive vibes gilly ?

NanKate Mon 21-Oct-19 08:02:54

Morning Mick and All.

Drizzly in South Bucks.

We are looking after both DGSs whilst their dad is away for 24 hours. The youngest has a dreadful cough and we have had an awful night with him. As we were so worried about his breathing I phoned 111 who decided he needed paramedics who said we were right to contact them and would take him into hospital with my DH to keep him company. What excellent treatment by the NHS. Just received a phone call from the patient who tells me he has been given a blue hospital teddy. The joys of being a grandparent.

Thinking of the Gillybobs ?

Mapleleaf Mon 21-Oct-19 08:22:52

Good morning from a grey and breezy South Yorkshire. It's dry though.

Coffee morning group later, then supermarket followed by a few garden chores if it stays dry. DH got the grass cut yesterday, but there are some plants that need cutting back and the dahlias need overwintering before it gets too cold.

Sending my thoughts to gillybob and her husband, and to all who feel unwell today. ?

Urmstongran Mon 21-Oct-19 08:26:07

Good morning everyone from South Manchester where it’s sunny and mild. This is lovely - still no heating on yet and no cardi or slippers for me either. Most unusual!

I’m off to the doctor’s surgery at 10am to the nurse led clinic for routine blood pressure check. I’ve gained a good bit of weight since my last check up. I’m a bit anxious already about this appointment. I probably do need a good talking to to set me right!

I’m envious of your reflexology appointment NfkDumpling as it’s my most favourite treatment. I used to go to a lady who was fabulous but she has left the area. It does give one the most uplifting sense of well being and positivity doesn’t it?

Thinking of you gillybob and hoping for better news this week.

Hope Monday is good to us all whether we have any plans or none. x
