We're all tired, I think that's a given. I just thought it be funny to share in lifes awkward moments. Having recently done this myself with a drink resulting in a very brief thought of "did I pee myself blush".

So,
Where were you at the time?
What were you holding?
How did it end?

Frequently - but it's usually only a hanky! I get woken by my nose running, grab my hanky and then hold onto it in case I need it again. More often than not I wake up with it still gripped firmly in my hand.

Years ago daughter no1 brought home a boy for the first time, we’d had a few people around for the evening, and were sat around chatting later, poor lad must have been exhausted, dozed off and dropped a pint of beer, went everywhere!

Oh yes, I have also had a rude awakening with a full cup of tea in my lap

Sarah65 !!! That poor lad.

The first thing my daughter did when she went to dinner at her partner's house for the first time, was spill her cup tea on his new carpet. Still together though.

My phone. All the time. Hit me in the face once. Serves me right

My MIL was always falling asleep with a lit cigarette. Numerous burns in her clothes but didn't set light to the house thankfully.

Using my tablet in bed, it hits me on the nose.

gmarie Sat 26-Oct-19 19:41:01

Yes, cup of coffee, cell phone, steering wheel, and tongue. Was alone and startled for the first two, scared with the third (pulled over for a power nap) and mildly amused for the last. Debate was so heated that no one noticed I'd stopped participating. grin

In a hotel room

A body part belonging to my boyfriend

Badly , when my mother in law's head popped round the door.
