Good Morning Everyone,
Its dark but dry at present here in Brackley , usual quiet day for me.
Yesterday was even quieter , with Rugby being on TV , town centres of Bicester and Buckingham were empty.
no flea market though despite whether improvements.

Good morning Mick and all to follow. We have a beautiful sunrise here in Malaga it’s just starting to get light. We are an hour ahead here (which is why I seem to post a little earlier when I’m out here - I’m cheating haha!).

My husband will want to watch the Grand Prix early evening so I don’t know what we might do yet for eating. Perhaps eat out this afternoon or maybe after he’s watched it, late like the locals! I don’t mind either way - I’m not cooking!

Hope Sunday is good to us all whether we have any plans or none. Special thoughts to gillybob as always. x

Pantglas2 Sun 03-Nov-19 06:33:42

I’ve been awake for a while Urmstongran and Mick! A few clouds around but I think it’s going to clear later - not sure what we’re doing today but hope we get good news from gillybob.

A good Sunday to all x

Good Morning Mick and Urmstongran

It is dark and wet on Severnside. No plans today, I’ll just see how it goes.

My brothers are Grand Prix fans, one will be in his chair and the other at the circuit both cheering LH for a sixth title.

My thoughts are with you gilly and with all that you have to endure I hope that you haven’t got too far to travel between your home and the hospital.

Have a lovely Sunday everyone ?

Good morning Mick, Urmston, Pantglas2 Beechnut and all who follow. I've been awake since just after 3.00 and have just had my second breakfast, or was it lunch?smile

It's murky out there. There's fog at tree-top level and heavy rain is forecast for Cheshire later. Ugh!

Spent time reading the news and doing some family research. More of the same later after a food shop to keep body and soul together.

And so to thoughts of Gilly and her lovely DH. Envisage us all in the room with you Gilly, because we would be if we could. Willing you both through this distressing time and sending love.

We seem to have a lot who are unwell or undergoing treatment or whose family are atm. To everyone struggling, hope today is a little better. xx

dragonfly46 Sun 03-Nov-19 06:54:42

Good morning, it looks to be dry in Leicestershire. I may meet a friend for a walk and a coffee today. She is going on a cruise to the sunshine tomorrow - very envious!

As always my thoughts are with gilly.

NfkDumpling Sun 03-Nov-19 06:59:02

Morning All

A clearing sky here in Norfolk - at least I think its supposed to be clearing and not going the other way.

Off to DSs today to take a load of plants for their garden (mostly thinnings from ours). I’ll help DGS plant most of them in as otherwise they’ll sit there ‘til spring.

NfkDumpling Sun 03-Nov-19 07:15:47

Just nipped back as I missed you yesterday gilly (must have checked in too soon) and had to go back to Saturday’s thread see how things were. I can’t believe its four weeks. Your poor, poor man and how you’ve stayed so strong so long is amazing and how dare that customer be rude to you - the insensitive lout! Do look after yourself. I hope your ‘lads’ are supporting you at “that place” and keeping things going as you’ve supported them. As Ginny says we’re all there with you, nipping in and out with virtual cups of tea. xx

NanKate Sun 03-Nov-19 07:15:47

Morning Mick and All.

I hope the rain of yesterday is going to slow down or even stop here in the South East. I’m much better with cold and clear weather.

Two breakfasts Ginny ?. Sometimes if I go for an early morning walk I smell bacon being cooked by my neighbours, sheer heaven.

We have bought a Nespresso machine and are collecting it from JL today. No doubt DH will spend an hour or two checking how it works and sampling the blends, whilst I watch the tennis Final from Paris.

Our thoughts are with you Gillybob ?

cornergran Sun 03-Nov-19 07:22:27

Morning Mick, morning All. Still raining in our corner of Somerset, forecast is drier later. Let’s hope. Family due to try to sort our broken kitchen cupboard, I’ll cook for us all later. Gilly and her husband are in my thoughts, love to them and a hope that Sunday is kind to everyone.

That's why manuals are so-called*NanKate*. My ex was never happier than when he had a new 'toy' and a manual.

NanKate Sun 03-Nov-19 07:27:39

Like it Ginny. I never read a manual I just get on and do it. DH will have his yellow marker pen ready to highlight key instructions ?

Good Morning all and to those who follow. It's dark and murky here in Fife, looks to be another yuk day I'm afraid. Still painting our lounge but it's coming on, its moving all the furniture that causes more hassle. Anyway soon to be finished. gilly you are in my thoughts I do so hope we hear some news today. Apart from finishing our decorating today that's it. Hope Sunday is good to everyone.

aggie Sun 03-Nov-19 07:44:50

Good Morning all,
I have just noticed that my ipadmini is typing in my morning greeting on its own , I am so predictable !
It is foggy here , the washing is thumping away in the machine so I hope it is dry today
No Mass in our local Chapel this morning , so no need to go out any further than the garden today , lots of leaves to be gathered for the compost bin
Thoughts are with Gillybob

Good morning all and welcome to a damp Northampton morning. Hoping it gets a bit drier as I am fed up with the rain.

So disappointed with the rugby yesterday, but South Africa were the better team on the day. At least my team Saints won on Friday and we are top of the table. Don't know how long that will last though; we have a tricky away match next weekend.

Lazy morning, late brunch and then out to a concert this afternoon. The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra and the Elgar Cello Concerto. It is so rare to have a classical music matinee, so I grabbed a ticket while I could. It is almost a sell-out.

Hoping Gilly has better news for us today.

Good Morning from a dull and grey Black Country.

Had an unexpected invite by DD for dinner yesterday morning , we picked up Mum and SIL's Mum was there also. Was lovely to get together with my some of my family

Partner is going on a long cycle ride today, with the cycling club he has just joined. I am joining them (by driving) to the half way point where they are having a 'sausage sizzle' in Kinver.

Gilly you are still in my thoughts, and I hope and pray you receive positive new soon.

harrigran Sun 03-Nov-19 08:03:33

Good morning from a grey, damp NE.
It was wet and windy during the night and DH was up and down all night so we haven't had much sleep.
Visiting my sister for coffee this afternoon.
Thinking of gilly and hoping for some positive news today.

Mythbirtthedragon Sun 03-Nov-19 08:08:07

Good morning from east London, looks quite pleasant outside and wind has dropped; at one point yesterday our car was being submerged by leaves. I think we’ve sorted what carpets we want so we’re being measured up on Tuesday, so impetus to do major clearing up today. (It’s one thing when you’ve got the builders to blame for the house’s disrupted state but I have been making my own contributions). Taxi duty for GD at tea time may be the next chance to get out). Hope everyone has the best day they can.

GrannyGravy13 Sun 03-Nov-19 08:09:59

Goodmorning Mick and all x

Weather is trying to brighten up here in SE Essex and no wind!!!

I shall be preparing my onions for pickling today, roast beef with all the trimmings later. Hopefully we will be joined by AS, his wife and our two GC, that's if the baby (4 weeks old) is discharged from hospital today. He has been in for three days, and has been so poorly, we are keeping our fingers crossed.

Goodmorning gillybob thinking of you both and praying for some positive news for you xx

kittylester Sun 03-Nov-19 08:11:50

Morning all from a North Leicestershire which is currently dry but has rain in the forecast.

Not much on the agenda for us today after a busy day yesterday.

Slow cooked Portuguese beef for dinner.

As always, sending love to gilly.

kittylester Sun 03-Nov-19 08:14:46

Alygran Sun 03-Nov-19 08:18:22

Good morning from North Yorkshire where it has stopped raining for now.
Off to church shortly. I am reading today. Then back for breakfast (croissants and coffee). Quiet afternoon planned hopefully finishing the baby jumper I am knitting for DDs friend. I have quite an order list so need to get on.
Pub quiz tonight in the next village.
Thinking of Gilly and hoping for positive news.
Hope today is kind to you all.

Good morning Mick and all from a damp Glasgow.

I'm off to church for the first time in five weeks. My sister in law has asked us to accompany her to her church this morning, where there will be a memorial mass for all those who have died in the parish.

This is the church we were married in, our children were christened in and both sets of parents were buried from, so we will have both sad and happy memories.
It's a touching service, where the recently bereaved place a beautiful candle on the altar rails to remember all their loved ones, who have died in the past year. DDG will place one, (with help) for her beloved Uncle Tommy. ?.
However, I cannot vouch for her behaviour, as the steroids have turned her into a hyperactive, Duracell bunny!. grin. I have a packet of Jelly babies ready for any episodes, which may occur.

I'm feeling a bit yukky, nausea, caused by the osteoporosis infusion and overdoing it yesterday, cooking for the freezer.
However, I'm so looking forward to being out in civilisation again. ...And of course, I'm bound to meet someone I know, despite the church being in the next town!! grin.

I shall light a candle for Gilly and her family and for all those with health worries and sorrows.
Enjoy your Sunday, whatever your plans.
