Good Morning Everyone,
Its dark but dry here in Brackley at the moment.
Busy day for me , Housework, Chiropodist, and then off out, the planned installation of new fire alarms has been delayed.
Trip Bicester and Buckingham on buses as usual today, but tomorrow will be different again more on that then.
Mick

Llamedos13 Tue 12-Nov-19 15:40:13

Thank you NannyJan. I don’t post here as a rule because my morning is your afternoon. I just had to share the picture of the massive snowfall we had last night, very unusual this early in the season.

NannyJan53 Tue 12-Nov-19 15:31:04

Welcome Llamedos13 to this good morning thread.

It is just raining here!

Llamedos13 Tue 12-Nov-19 14:18:43

Good morning from Ontario Canada. Take pity on me having to clear this lot!

DoraMarr Tue 12-Nov-19 11:12:01

Good - late- morning from Birmingham, where the early sunshine has disappeared and it now looks chilly and damp outside. I’m looking after my eldest granddaughter today, and she is snuggled up next to me on the sofa reading while I have my elevenses. At some point today we will wrap up and go to the park, but for now it’s nice to be inside in the warm.
I hope everyone has a good day, especially those with health problems.

Callistemon Tue 12-Nov-19 10:15:43

As soon as I typed the words tidying and washing the clouds appeared and the sun went in.

Jo1960 Tue 12-Nov-19 10:11:06

I've just read this thread and thought how warm it felt, unlike the weather in a soggy wet North East! As one who isn't feeling too well (chronic illnesses, pain + flu jab) and hates short damp days, it quite cheered me up. I should be doing uni work or cleaning my midden of a house, but I think I'll get wrapped up, limp the dog and possibly visit a friend; it'll do me good! Anyway morning all, I normally only post if I have something (I think is!) important to say, so today's a first. Thanks for motivating me and hope everyone has a good day especially those struggling for whatever reason.

MawB Tue 12-Nov-19 10:04:23

I have realised that I have been contentedly skimming through the various threads but have omitted to greet you all.
Good morning from N Bucks where it is (as yet) a crisp and sunny morning.
What could possibly go wrong?( ☔️☔️☔️☔️☔️☔️☔️?)
With special thoughts for harrigran, gillybob and our indomitable marydoll, dragonfly and others I hope today is a pleasant one, bringing no nasty surprises.

Callistemon Tue 12-Nov-19 09:37:09

It's bright and sunny in S Wales and I hope none of you are too soggy underfoot.
The house is a tip (how did that happen?) so I must spend some time tidying at least and doing more washing.
We hope to get to the Garden Centre later where there is a 20% discount day.

Thinking of the gillybobs and sending good wishes to anyone else who is unwell or having difficulties.

JenniferEccles Tue 12-Nov-19 09:30:30

I tend to look on here most days as I have been touched by what poor gillybob is going through.

She did say though that she would only post again if there is good news to report about her husband so I really hope it won’t be too long before she is back.

annsixty Tue 12-Nov-19 09:17:09

Good morning all.
Although I don't post often I read everyday.
I thought this morning I would post to say I hope you all have better weather than we have here in Stockport.
It is pouring with rain, windy and cold for the second day running.
It just makes me so very grateful I don't have to venture out.
Warmest wishes to those of you who do and anyone feeling down today.

Morning Michael, Annie, and all, from a sunny, chilly Berks.
I shall be doing a bit of housework later, finishing upstairs.
DH is out this morning, so I shall ask him if he will finish off downstairs, while I am out this afternoon ?
Thinking of the Gillybobs and Harrigran and hoping all is well.
I know Gilly said she would be taking a break, but am sure she will find time to see that we are holding them in our hearts, all the time.
Well done Ginny42 for sorting out your computer problems. I would have been a quivering wreck!

I am volunteering this afternoon with a group of lovely folk.
Have a good day one and all.

Good morning Mick and everyone. I started this message just after 6 and then decided to go onto M&S site and send flowers to a friend before I forgot her birthday. What a palaver! I almost gave up. But I'm back and it's still pouring in my corner of Cheshire.

Still, feeling chuffed with myself as I thought my laptop had died last night or was at least very, very sick. I fixed it myself! A message about the Qualcamm Atheros something or other came up but using my phone I followed online instructions and fixed it! I'd already decided I was off to buy a new one today, but not necessary now.

Hairdresser this morning, lunch with a friend, then visit her DH in a care home. Meeting this evening of group who support local charities. Must buy warm gloves, scarves and hats for our Christmas project of presents for the homeless.

Thoughts of our Gilly of course and Harrigran. Special thoughts to you Dragonfly I hope all goes well today. flowers

Yiayia4 Tue 12-Nov-19 08:38:22

Morning all,it's cold and clear here but rain promised later.
I'm meeting a friend for coffee this morning we've known each other since early school days so lots of chatting will go on.
Thoughts as always for Gilly and hope everyone has a good Tuesday.

Grammaretto Tue 12-Nov-19 08:29:13

Good morning all from the Scottish Borders. I'm assured the sun is due to appear tomorrow.
I love reading about the things you all do. It gives me ideas. A bus trip: a swim: maybe not a head shave. Good luck Dragonfly you would need a wig for warmth where I am.
Glad your badge turned up Marydoll
Gillybob flowers we are with you still.
I had better get up and start the day.

moggie Tue 12-Nov-19 08:24:05

Good morning Mick & all from chilly, damp Nottingham. More rain forecast for today. I’m at work so I won’t even notice.
Had a lovely day with puppy Dora y’day.
Thoughts are with Gillybobs & her DH.
Hope all not well or struggling have a better day.
Have a good day everyone.

travelsafar Tue 12-Nov-19 08:20:32

Blue sky and sunshine but very cold here in Letchworth Garden City this morning. Rain is forcast for later though. Am off to try out Qigong this morning it is similar to tai chi.
Afterward i will probably go and look for some Christmas presents as i saw grand daughters on Sunday and have some idea of their wishes for gifts.
Usually by now i have most of my shopping completed and am getting ready to wrap but i just can not get into Christmas this year at all. Have a great day what ever you are doing.

Greyduster Tue 12-Nov-19 08:14:13

Good morning, Michael and all GNs. It is cold, wet and miserable in South Yorkshire. More rain for those seriously afflicted☹️. Not much going on here except a visit to the solicitor to sign some paperwork, and then school run this afternoon.
Thinking of Gilly and Harrigran??.

Mapleleaf Tue 12-Nov-19 08:12:25

Good morning

It's wet and miserable here. We could really do without this rain with all the flooding around and about. The ground is saturated.

Hoping to meet a friend later for a catch up, haven't seen her for several months.

gilly did say she would be taking a break from posting for a while, but like everyone else, I think of her and her DH, and hope for better news soon.

Oh, dear, marydoll that was quite an adventure and worry yesterday! I'm glad you found your badge in the end.

To all feeling unwell, I hope today is a better day for you.

Take care, all.

BlueSapphire Tue 12-Nov-19 08:03:05

Good morning everyone from a bright and sunny Northampton.

A morning in with some general tidying up, and a look through the recipe book to see what I need to make Christmas puddings. DS and DDIL are hosting Christmas Day this year and I have been asked for a pudding, mince pies and sausage rolls. I will then put the stuff on my Sainsbury's delivery order. Don't know whether to bother with a cake or not.

A health walk after lunch, then pick up DGD from school and give her tea - spaghetti Bolognese tonight.

I believe Gilly said she would not be posting for a few days. Hope all is well.
