Good Morning Everyone,
Its dark and wet here in Brackley this morning.
Anyway , yesterday I brought some Gift Cards in Sainsbury ,and got 2 of the same this gave me 20% off , so take note.
But today, I am again going on day trip by coach of course , to the Gloucester Quays Victorian Xmas Market , I did it last year, so getting around will be easier .
Plan to go into to the Wagamama restaurant for a meal then browse, pubs etc, plus cathedral, but you dropped off by the discount retail outlet which contains a Cadburys shop, plan to buy a few bags of misshapes .
Mick

Good Morning everyone
Dark here on Severnside otherside.

Very busy around that area of Gloucester yesterday. Some cars turning around. Once past the turn off to Quays it became sane again.

Had a lovely time with DD and SiL. They and neighbours had a party in their gardens with a steel band.

Have a good day whatever you do ?

Good Morning from a dark and damp Fife. It's early though I suppose weather could change. Had a lovely time yesterday lunching in the city with DH. Some tidying to do today then will be out completing hopefully all my Christmas shopping. So good to hear news yesterday from gilly onwards and upwards. Nice to hear she is getting into her normal routines again. Hope Sunday is good to all.

Morning all from a dry North Leicestershire.

I'll be watching out for reports from North Yorkshire as we are going to see one of DH's older brothers and his wife and going for a pub lunch today. They seem to have become very 'old' all of a sudden.

Love to gilly and all with illness or worry!

DoraMarr Sun 24-Nov-19 07:33:46

Good morning from a cloudy Birmingham. I feel very smug this morning because I cleared out the cupboard under the sink and the storage cupboard in the hall. I am so pleased with the latter I keep going and having a peek at it. Sad.
Coffee with friends and then nothing else until I go to my partner’s for dinner and tv later.
I hope everyone has a good day.

Good morning. Busy day for you today Mick, enjoy it. It's dark and not very nice at the moment in Cheshire. Had a very restless night, sleeping deeply, then waking wondering where I was, then sleeping again, I'm glad I'm awake at last. A strong cuppa should waken me up.

It's Christmas shopping today and I hope to finish in one trip. The main ones are bought and one - a train for my GS - is wrapped already and in my wardrobe. He is mad about trains and one of his gifts is a trip on the Flying Scotsman. He's undecided about Santa, but I think he's humouring us!

Hope everyone has a good day whatever you may have planned. Delighted with your news at last Gilly. Glad you are spending time with your DGD. Have fun, you deserve it. Marydoll and Dragonfly take good care of yourselves.

Hope Sunday is kind to everyone. x

Morning Mick, morning All from a dark, damp corner of Somerset. Another grey day ahead it seems. Torrential rain yesterday, more forecast. Flipping photo book took over yesterday, I refused to be defeated but did it take time. So, to Christmas sorting today, there is a bed under the mess. Well, there was grin. Love to gilly and her family, will pop back later to see if there is more news. Travel safely kitty, hope Sunday is kind to everyone.

Mapleleaf Sun 24-Nov-19 07:51:35

Good morning.

I couldn't sleep from about 7 am, so gave up, came down and made a cup of tea which I'm drinking now.

Enjoy your Christmas market, mick. We went to one last year in York. It got very crowded, but early on and later on in the day ( we were there overnight), it was easier to get around and see things properly.

It looks very grey and dismal outside, but at least it doesn't seem to be raining yet.

I'll be making the Christmas pudding today - stir up Sunday, so that will keep me busy for a while.

Hope there is further good news from gilly today. Thoughts and prayers winging there way to her.

Hope today is good for you all.

Morning Mick and All.

Hope your day goes well Mick.

Grey and damp here in South Bucks. I prefer it cold and bright.

Almost recovered from looking after the DGSs, then received a critical email of us from our XDinL which spoilt the day but compared with our brave Gillybob it’s nothing.

Off to JL to collect some reduced priced undies for me and some cartridges for our new coffee machine. We are really pleased with it.

Have a good day folks.

Good morning from a dark and damp start to the day in Glasgow

Hope everyone has a pleasant Sunday and more positive happenings for you and your DH gilly

Good morning all from a cloudy Glasgow, 8C/46F.

Mick that sounds my ideal trip! Have an enjoyable day!
DH and I had planned some Christmas market trips by coach, York being one, but unfortunately it wasn't to be. sad.
Ginny, I too had a fitful sleep, woke up feeling very anxious, but don't know why.

I decided to empty the hidden Christmas presents from the old linen cupboard (now minus the tank), it is stacked high with curver boxes.
Big mistake, I overdid it , wouldn't ask for help from DH ! There is no fool, like and old fool, in fact an old forgetful fool! grin. I felt awful last night, but better this morning.
I'm my own worst enemy.
I found so many hidden (bargain) presents for my DD and DGD that have been buying over the year and obviously forgotten about. Some I have put away for DD's birthday.

Getting bargain presents is sort of a hobby for me. After Christmas, I set my self a challenge I keep my eye on the sales and try and wait until the prices are rock bottom, with 10% off.
Last year she got a duvet coat, (£12), ankle boots, (£6) various jumpers from Debenhams , (£4).
Quite sad, I know, but it stems from the times in the past when money was very tight!

I plan today to get some packing done for NY, but have to admit I feel quite apprehensive in case I don't get!!!

So relieved to hear from Gilly yesterday and praying that things continue to improve.

Resurgran, I hope you feel a wee bit bettertoday.

Love to all who are struggling, especially those. who keep their sorrows to themselves and suffer in silence. flowers

Good morning everyone from sunny Malaga. It’s nice to be waking up to lovely mornings again after all the rain we’ve had.

We had a really nice meal out last night. Both enjoyed what we chose - one of the pleasures really isn’t it, choosing individually what you fancy?

Had a FaceTime before we went out from our two grandchildren - 3 weeks to go before I can smother them with kisses! I do love it out here - sometimes I think I could live here permanently - but I know I’d miss these two cronies too much to do so!

No real plans today but I’m sure a walk out in the sunshine will be on the cards this afternoon. Home in time for himself to watch the Man Utd game!

Hope Sunday is kind to us all whether we have plans or none. Plus a special shout out to gillybob Marydoll and dragonfly I do hope you all feel a bit better today - I think you are all amazing how you just cope with your health worries. x

Grammaretto Sun 24-Nov-19 08:16:06

Good morning all from the Scottish Borders. Just getting light. I'll go to a country Christmas market later to visit my friend's stall.
I hope Gillybob is in good spirits today.
I had better get up. Have a good day everyone.

Alygran Sun 24-Nov-19 08:23:44

Good morning from North Yorkshire. Kitty it’s gloomy and grey but not raining at the moment.
Church for me this morning then home for brunch. Nothing much else so reading and knitting. Will be making a beef casserole for dinner later.
Hope the day is kind to you all. Thinking of those with health worries and other struggles.

ninathenana Sun 24-Nov-19 08:32:58

Good morning from grey Kent.

I don't envy all you Christmas shoppers. I ve done all mine on line. Stops me adding to the 6 miles of stationary traffic that was trying to get to the nearest shopping centre yesterday.
Good to read a more positive post from gilly. Marydoll I so admire your "I won't be beaten" attitude but slow down ! Good wishes to dragonfly and anyone else that needs them.

Mythbirtthedragon Sun 24-Nov-19 08:44:41

Good morning from east London, I’ve lost my view of the holiday hills and am now looking at the mist outside which has rolled up since daybreak. Not as cold as I thought it would be but there won’t be any more t-shirts and shorts until next year now. Loads of unpacking still to be done plus some food shopping to be done. May see family later, not sure of collection arrangements for DG this afternoon as DD starts her maternity leave today but must see them soon; we have some petrified wasps nests for GD who is fascinated by anything to do with insects. Hope you have the best day you can.

Pantglas2 Sun 24-Nov-19 08:50:05

Here I am this dry Welsh morning sat in bed with my beloved chamber pot of tea! I love being in Spain but I so love being home in Wales in my little nest!

Enjoy your misshapes Mick - I’m sure they have less calories than normal ones! To all you Christmas shoppers today, may you get many bargains and to all with worries, good news!

A peaceful Sunday to everyone x

Como2020 Sun 24-Nov-19 08:53:42

Good morning and hello to all, from the Somerset/Dorset borderlands (not Devon as I mistakenly wrote yesterday)

How nice of dragonfly, Lins and Mapleleaf to welcome me back again.

Grey and damp underfoot and overhead! After a good walk, it will be the perfect day to continue with the digital archiving of 100’s of photos.

So pleased that little by little, Mr Gillybob continues to improve.

dragonfly46 Sun 24-Nov-19 08:54:11

Good morning from a misty Leicestershire- sitting up in bed I can’t see the top of the hill.

Woke up at 6 with throbbing back pain due to the injections I have to give myself to promote bone marrow. Fortunately I had the last one last night and a couple of ibruprofin sorted it out.

Meeting a friend for a walk today. I have the most amazing friends they discreetly organise that someone is always there for me if needed. I value them as my family is a lot further away.

Hoping for more good news from Gilly you are always in our thoughts.

moggie Sun 24-Nov-19 08:55:44

Good morning Mick & all from Dull, dry Nottingham. Enjoy your trip Mick. DS,DD & partners coming for dinner today, 1st time using new oven for roast.
Thoughts are with Gillybob & her DH.
Hope all not well or struggling have a better day.
Have a good day everyone.

Nannytopsy Sun 24-Nov-19 08:59:32

Been awake on and off all night with the grandchildren. One was sick, the other had a temperature and a cough! We shall have a snooze later when they have gone!
They are off to get their Christmas tree today, whereas we get ours the weekend before Christmas. Theirs comes down straight after Christmas , ours on twelfth night.

harrigran Sun 24-Nov-19 09:01:44

Good morning from an overcast NE, it did stop raining eventually but yesterday was a washout.
Electric adjustable bed collapsed yesterday so we are going to have to buy a new bed for GD's room. I would not recommend them, so heavy, took hours to take it apart so that GD could go to bed.
Family life too busy for Christmas shopping, GC will get something but not on the scale of previous years.
Love to gilly and her DH.

loopylou Sun 24-Nov-19 09:11:40

Good morning to you all, 'tis a soggy start to Sunday here in north Wiltshire. DH and I are cogitating where to go to today, I need a walk and some fresh air. Our first choice isn't open so I guess it'll take another half hour to agree on somewhere else ??
It's going going to be wet wherever we end up (hopefully with a pub lunch as an incentive!)

Susan56 Sun 24-Nov-19 09:12:31

Good morning from Shropshire.
Another day of enforced rest today?got a change of medication but very apprehensive to start it.
Corner,I feel your pain over the photobook.I think I had to lie down in a darkened room after the last time I made one!
Mick,am very envious of your trip and wagamama’s is one of my favourite restaurants.
Sending best wishes to Mary, dragonfly and all under the weather.
Hope the improvements in your dear husbands condition continue gilly.Sending love and prayers.x
