Anyone else had a PM hinting that there is more than £9 million going spare that they might be entitled to?

A variation on an old scam arrived in my inbox, from a Didier Morgan, under the username lofumorgan. It starts "Please read this mail attentively." , but I only had to skim-read it to know that it was highly unlikely that the £9 m would come anywhere near me, or near anyone else. I reported it to Gransnet, do the same if you get one.

I had one, my first scam email via GN. Reported it and blocked the sender. I’m afraid I stopped reading after the first sentence. It seems I missed a fortune hmm.

Drat! That's £9,000,000 I've missed out on, plus I never get the pm's telling me how gorgeous I am and they want to be my "special friend". tchsad

Who falls for scams like these?

Some scams are clever and do prey on people's fears and/or vulnerabilities, but I honestly don't understand how anyone can seriously think that someone is going to give them £9 million.

I've had one too, didn't bother looking at it. Just had a feeling it was a scam.

Oh, I never get these PMs either. It's bad enough that I've never been considered a candidate for luurve or special friendship, now I've missed out on the chance of untold riches. Drat. grin
