The link above really made my morning, and brought a lump to my throat; of pride and joy. As a Canadian, embracing winter is part of our life, even though on the west coast it is much milder than the rest of the country. So nice to see the wonder and smile on their faces.

A very chilly -13 C here, but I believe a much milder -3 in Victoria.

I had a Morrocan X boyfriend, the first time he saw snow here he tried to get me out of bed to go out in it,,,duh. DD then 13 went to the park with him for about 20 minutes.
Funny, by 16.00 and we had gone shopping he was not so keen on "the white stuff".
Wet and horrible after less than 12 hours.

My grandson had a girl from Sydney to stay over Christmas a couple of years ago. She was really keen for it to snow, she`d never seen any, but when it did she decided after an hour or so that she hated it!

CanadianGran, here in London, UK, -3 is never thought of as mild!
