Who else used to rest things on their bump during pregnancy.

I was heading to town on the bus this morning when a young pregnant lady came and sat down beside me. She pulled out a apple snack pack and just plonked it down on her bump to start eating from it. I just started chuckling to myself as I remember doing exactly the same thing when I was pregnant. Having a bump used to be the most useful thing in the world or the most annoying lol.

Who else used to use theirs as a table and what was the funniest thing you used for?

One of my cats used to sit on my bump. It didn’t help with my indigestion! grin

I got a soaking when my daughter kicked my cup and saucer over as it rested on my bump! Thankfully the tea had cooled, otherwise I could have been scalded as well as soaked grin

Cuppa tea on its saucer was often balanced on my bump too.

There is a photo of me with my coffee mug resting on my bump

Yes, the bump was super useful to place things on, a cup of tea, a book etc.
I am thinking of encouraging my incipient bump to grow even more ( pass the cake) a spare tyre may as well be useful.

It was the perfect table.

DH rests his computer on his bump, which, to be fair is gradually decreasing grin

Back in the day my mum apparently used to balance the ashtray on her bump. That was her explanation of me being born with a prominent brown round birth mark on my hip! I guess it was a ciggy burn. ?

The cat; just fitted in between the bump and the boobs. Daughter/bump can’t stand cats ?

I did spill rather warm tea on my bump which made me jump up from where I was lounging on the sofa.
I blame that for starting off labour (baby was overdue anyway).

Trays - I was a waitress at the time and used to carry the trays of puddings or cups of coffee into the dining room on my bump grin

I worked on nightduty as a nurse right upto 34weeks pregnant with my youngest daughter, and used to sit in a comfy chair in the patients day room doing paperwork and writing up the patients notes with the files balanced on my bump between ward rounds!

I learned not to fill my mug too full after baby number one gave a giant leap and spilled it!!

YES! Bump was very handy for resting tea on while I dunked my biscuits lol. It did come with the risk factor though, I to did have a couple cups kicked all down me. Those kicks were powerful. Makes me wish I still had one now.
