Good Evening everyone!

First up I'd like you to meet 'jacqui', my favourite nurse!
Isn't she gorgeous!?
I could go on, but I expect you TV soap opera tragics and others will already recognised "jo joyner",
aka "Luella Shakespeare"; "Mandy Carter".
but I assure you our Jacqui is her double and dare I say even more attractive in the flesh, if you see what I mean wink
Same age, same height, same weight same smile; but as Jacqui said when I showed her my "pin-up", not same bank balance! Another nice thing, a good conversationalist, good mental therapy. grin I'm not in any hurry to get "better"; she and others tend to my needs with 2 home visits each week. Lovely Jubbly! grin
Now where was I?
Careful Megs! You're joking about "joking"! You could get double time on the naughty stool, so it's good forward thinking to have kept it well polished and splinter-free.!
We've had yet another crazy idiot standing on the roof of his car in the middle of the City then doing burn-outs, doughnuts etc.
I'm not sure if f he had a knife or gun, but neither was used because the police had him pinned down very quickly. They have been on high alert ever since that previous lunatic drove along the City pavement killing pedestrians. sad
Better news; saw my Vascular Surgeon today, now there's an impressive procedure to mention in company! She doesn't want to see me again for 6 months, not because of something I said or did I hasten to add I'm a model patient
after years of practice!
As you have probably heard, the Oz tourist business has taken a hell of a beating with bush fires, huge loss of native animals and their habitats and so we are being urged to keep our dollars in OZ by visiting the devastated townships to help families and businesses get back on their feet. The numbers of overseas visitors is understandably well down and now this virus scare is keeping them at home, particularly Chinese. sad
School hols are over and back to computer lessons; forgotten what our holiday homework was which explains why I haven't done any! I'll toss in a question about catch-up TV as a diversion! wink
Must go and get some more beauty sleep ready to get up tomorrow bright-eyed and bushy-tailed.
OH! and dream of my pin up! hmm
OoRoo

Late posting tonight good evening Rufus. Glad your vascular surgeon does not want to see you for 6 months. You sure its not something you said.

School back here also so have pickup/delivery back for a while. We have told the family that we do not want to do childcare in the school holidays as if we do so this means WE do not get any time off from these duties. We feel that we are grandparents not childminders and we value our retirement time.

Had a trip to Latrobe yesterday with lunch at a pub. We go out quite often for lunch or morning tea but don't like going out at night - we are old fogies in this regard.

Used to laugh at mum and dad when they did this but how things change when we get older ourselves smile

Good news for you from your surgeon.

Are your family nearby or do you have carers to help you - do you get out much?

Can someone explain how I ask a question (in the grandparent forum) that will start a new thread rather than posting on an already active thread? Trying to post a question that I’ve been unable to find in current forums.

Hi Nanamar that’s easy leash.

Click on forums . Then look at the list of potential threads( for example chat or health or whatever ) then click on start a new discussion on the left.
