Mine has to be spring, lovely flowers beginning to bloom, lighter nights,

Anniebach Wed 05-Feb-20 22:21:48

Spring, winter has passed, trees in leaf, bulbs flowering, Lambs
in the fields, birds nesting, new life

Urmstongran Wed 05-Feb-20 22:25:34

Spring, definitely. Lighter, longer days. And hope for a good summer (which might of course be a washout).

MissAdventure Wed 05-Feb-20 23:11:02

Oh yes, spring.
Anything really, as long as its not summer, when its like being boiled alive!

merlotgran Wed 05-Feb-20 23:25:55

Our seasons are changing so my favourite times of the year are now late spring/early summer and late summer/early autumn.

I used to love mid summer but it's far too hot now.

Spring, especially May when the trees start showing beautiful fresh green leaves and they all look so clean! And everything starts growing like mad.

MissAdventure Wed 05-Feb-20 23:34:50

Autumn is lovely, too.
All those leaves turning red and golden, and crunching under your feet. smile

I think there is something in nature to offer for all the seasons.
My favourites though are spring and autumn.

? Autumn . All the beautiful colours of nature that also happen to be my ‘colours’ season . I was also born in the Autumn and love to wear autumn clothes - cozy jumpers , cords , body warmers and boots without the need for a coat .

ginny Thu 06-Feb-20 08:09:44

Spring and summer. I love being outside and not having to bundle up in layers of clothing. Autumn is sometimes lovely . Winter should be banned especially if we get snow.

sodapop Thu 06-Feb-20 08:44:56

Autumn for me too, love the colours and cooler weather, really dislike the hot summer.

Sara65 Thu 06-Feb-20 08:54:24

Autumn, but it’s ruined for me because of the ?

TwiceAsNice Thu 06-Feb-20 08:57:10

Spring and summer . I love all the warm weather and not having to wear layers and finally you know there definitely is no risk of snow which I hate with a passion

QuaintIrene Thu 06-Feb-20 09:01:46

I like all the seasons really, I enjoy the changes. But if it had to be one it would be autumn if only because that was when pomegranates appeared in the shops.

RubyWine Thu 06-Feb-20 09:03:19

Can't stand the cold, and having to have the heating on all the time, give me a nice sunny day and a warm summer evening any day.
sunshine

Spring, definitely - Winter is behind us and all the best months are ahead of us.........April, May, June, July, August and September smile

Bathsheba Thu 06-Feb-20 09:07:58

Spring for sure. The fresh green buds on trees, flowers appearing everywhere, the lighter evenings and, best of all, the promise of a lovely summer just round the corner. The reality of summer may not meet our hopes and expectations, but at least in the spring we have that hope smile

Septimia Thu 06-Feb-20 09:08:11

I enjoy the changes, too, but my favourite season is spring.

Spring brings so much potential in the buds opening, the pale green new leaves on the trees, the longer days, the birds nesting.....

Summer, with the trees in full, dark green leaf, is too opulent. I like the colours of autumn, but not the damp and mud that often go with it.

Cherrytree59 Thu 06-Feb-20 09:14:46

Spring (my birthday and Easter) daffodil

Sun becomes brighter and higher in sky and light seems to change.
I can see dust everywhere

Spotting all the little hints of spring atm.

My apricot tree has pink blossom buds.
Magnolia is also heavily in bud.
Cherrytrees will soon be a mass of pink fluffiness

Daffodils and crocus ready burst open
Pockets of colourful Primula under the bare winter tree.

The birds chirping just before dawn.

I know I am awakening from my hibernation, I am mentally making house and garden job lists!.

We have a storm forecast for weekend,⚡☔
A reminder that we are not quite there yet.

Summer without a doubt. I dislike the cold intensely. I love light warm evenings and bright early mornings.

Chewbacca Thu 06-Feb-20 10:01:48

Autumn for me. The colours of the trees, berries and autumnal flowers are so rich and beautiful. And those mornings when the sky is a deep blue and the air is crisp and clean and you feel like you could walk for ever. Definitely my favourite season.

DillytheGardener Thu 06-Feb-20 10:09:03

For gardening Spring, as I love to see my garden explode into a riot of flowers, for pleasure Summer as I love the endless barbecues and going to the seaside, and for clothes I love fall as I love to snuggle up in my favourite jumpers. I’m woman! I can be indecisive grin

DillytheGardener Thu 06-Feb-20 10:10:22

Ha, realised I’ve taken on the americanisms from my fashion rags, fall, it’s Autumn!

henetha Thu 06-Feb-20 10:20:50

Definitely spring with it's pretty flowers and the promise of summer ahead. But spring can be disappointingly cool sometimes, like T.S.Elliot said, "April is the cruelest month".
So maybe summer is best, providing it's not too hot.
Autumn is gorgeous, but it's the thought of the winter ahead which is depressing.
