Good Morning Everyone,
dark outside this morning, but with fog and ground frost here in Brackley.
Went to Northampton yesterday on the bus, which took me through some the county's villages to the south east of the county town.
Today my Buckingham and Bicester bus trips.
I enjoy this journey as I have got to talk to others on the bus very sociable.

Good Morning everyone. It’s dry and frosty here on Severnside.

I had a good time shopping yesterday morning and bought some Portuguese custard tarts that I’ve been reading about on GN.

My friend came just as I got home. She must have smelt the coffee. We had a long chat about things that happen in life.

I hope you all have the best day you can ?

Morning Mick and all to follow from a dark but dry Oswestry where we’re up at sparrowfart at travelodge to take DH in to Gobowen for his hip op - been a long time coming and poor boy’s in a lot of pain and can’t wait to be fixed!

Hope all with health and other worries have a better day and everyone else simply has good weather to put a spring in their steps x

Scentia Thu 06-Feb-20 06:45:56

Good Morning all from East Staffordshire, it looks really cold out this morning. I will have to take the bin it and test it before I decide what to wear today
Normal work day for me, today my son is 27 years old today and that makes me feel old!!
I will go to work in my car today so I can give it a clean out as we are not busy and the hoover is better at the factory.

I hope you all have the best day possible today.

Good Morning from a dark and frosty Black Country.

Had a lovely coffee meet up with a friend at a local garden centre yesterday morning. We walked around outside afterwards, and in the sun I could feel a hint of warmth! Spring is round the corner.

This morning I am off to the gym, then over to Mums to meet up for lunch with her younger sister. My Aunt is bringing her 17 year old DGD, who I haven't seen since she was about 8 or 9.

Hoping all goes well for your DH's Op Pantglas

Scentia my son is 44, so you are not old smile I am!

Wishing everyone a good day.

Morning Mick and All.

Misty and dark in South Bucks today.

Your busy trips sound very friendly Mick. Hope all goes well today for your DH Pantglas. I love those custard tarts Beechnut.

Having a Doc’s telephone appointment today discussing my 5 day trial of steroids. Not sure much has come out of it. We shall see.

NanKate Thu 06-Feb-20 06:59:22

Have fun NannyJ ?

dragonfly46 Thu 06-Feb-20 07:06:25

Good morning, not sure what the weather is doing in Leicestershire as not looked out.

Seeing the oncologist this morning to get the all clear for chemo tomorrow.

Hope your DH’s hip op goes well Pantglas

Good morning Mick. It's still dark here in Cheshire and not very sure what the weather's like. I'm not feeling great after my house alarm went off after midnight last night. Must call the man this morning, so will have to miss painting. I'm worried a mouse might have chewed the cables in the loft.

Going to the hairdresser later and a meeting of my charity group this evening. Latest project is to help young people in hostels prepare for job interviews and hopefully into more permanent homes.

Hope the op goes well pantglas and your appointment dragonfly. I realise my problems are insignificant by comparison. Wishing every one the best day possible.

Good Morning everyone from a still dark Scottish Borders.
Waiting in for the plumber to plumb in my new tiny "kitchen"
I am trying to create a bedsit in my guest/spare room. The water will be off later today because of roadworks.

Eye test today and housework/catching up.

Your bus trip around the villages sounds lovely Mick
Have fun NannyJ
I hope you are fit for the chemo too Dragonfly
That's great that at last your DH will get his op pantglas

Sunshine for everyone sunshine

Morning all from a chilly North Leicestershire.

Butcher's, Sainsbury's this morning and brewcupcake with a friend this afternoon.

Good wishes to everyone who needs them.

Lins1066 Thu 06-Feb-20 07:35:12

Good Morning Mick and all.
Just peeped out and the sky is clear here on the S Welsh coast and the sunrise is beautiful, a lovely pink glow.

DH managed to get an appointment with the GP yesterday morning, he was given more antibiotics but is slowly getting better. Our cleaner is coming this morning, she hasn't been for two weeks, she injured her ankle in Mum's netball. I was a hockey girl, many moons ago.
Best wishes to your DH Pantglas and to dragonfly hope all goes well for both.
Hope everyone will have a good day.

Good morning from east London, ground frost on the field outside, sky looks nice and clear. Foodbank is closed this week as the hall we use is being redecorated so I’m off to tennis this morning. Full choir this evening, so need to refresh my recollection of the new songs having missed last week. Last night was old songs so that’s a different memory dredge. Hope you have a good day.

Morning Mick, morning All from a clear, frosty corner of Somerset. Hope for a walk today, stamina needs building. Best wishes to your husband pantglas. Hope all goes well dragonfly and Thursday is kind to everyone.

Nannytopsy Thu 06-Feb-20 07:46:19

Good morning Mick and all his followers.
I was a hockey girl too Lins - I’m too short for netball!
Best wishes to DH Pantglas for his op.
It is a beautiful morning here in Suffolk but with a heavy frost. It’s the village “cafe” this morning in the village hall. DH refuses to come but I enjoy the chat.
Hope the day is kind to you all.

Brunette10 Thu 06-Feb-20 07:48:19

Good Morning all from a dry Fife, although there is a bit of frost I fear. Never mind just get on with things. No plans yet for today although I hear a visit to the shops beckoning. Feel like some retail therapy. Well that's the hair back to short again and feel much better, shame I didn't achieve the short bob I wanted but never mind be content with what I have. Thinking of all those with anxieties and I hope you are fit for the chemo too Dragonfly. Keep your chin up - have good day everyone and take care.

Mommawolf Thu 06-Feb-20 07:49:10

Goodmorning all from a cold and very frosty norfolk. Market day in nearby town today so a wander with our guests then lunch at the garden centre. Our friends are very good company and DH is enjoying having someone to "vet talk" with. Hope all goes well PANTGLAS and DRAGONFLY have a good day everyone.

QuaintIrene Thu 06-Feb-20 07:53:51

Good morning everyone. West Yorkshire is grey and cold.
Little cat is still with us. Eaten well yesterday and this morning. She isn’t right, though. Not Ill as such. Just very old. Big cat has been very kind to her, despite them never getting along.
There was a car crash outside my house last night. A car was being chased by police for 15 minutes, through the hospital grounds, across busy roads until it ended when they went into a building next door to the pub. According to my neighbour 2 young lads killed. The police knocked on my door but I must’ve been in the shower when it happened. Didn’t hear a thing. They have just opened the road. Terrible night.
I hope everything goes well today for those with plans and appointments. I can’t remember who you are and I can’t see you upwards on this screen. Thinking about you, though!
Mick I do remember.
Here’s hoping poorly folks have a better day.
Take care ?

Lins1066 Thu 06-Feb-20 07:54:08

I'm too short for netball too Nannytopsy ?

Alygran Thu 06-Feb-20 07:59:07

Good morning from North Yorkshire. It’s frosty and from the kitchen window I can see that the sun has just popped over the horizon.
Meeting a friend today to go walking. Trying to make the most of this lovely spell of weather.
Hope the op goes ok Pantglas and your oncologist appointment Dragonfly.
Hope today is kind to everyone.

QuaintIrene Thu 06-Feb-20 07:59:38

Just had a thought. Will make a note of who to especially mention, then I won’t feel like such a chump.

Sar53 Thu 06-Feb-20 08:03:32

Good morning everyone from a bright and sunny Essex by the sea. We went to the 02 yesterday evening to see the Young Voices choir. 8.800 children from the south of England. Very uplifting and LOUD. Step granddaughter was singing with her school. I'm staying in today waiting for a delivery and off to the Midlands tomorrow to stay with DD1 for a week. Have a very pleasant day everyone.

dragonfly46 Thu 06-Feb-20 08:05:33

I was a netball girl - shooter!
Hated hockey the other team used to hit me round the ankles with their sticks!

Marydoll Thu 06-Feb-20 08:06:24

Good morning all from a cold Glasgow, but no frost thank goodness.

I have had a terrible night's sleep, I can't remember what I was dreaming about, but I do know that Donald Trump featured in my unsettling dreams! I have been watching too many news programmes. grin.

A day in for me, we had a lovely day out in Glasgow yesterday, with a delicious lunch, but paying the price for it today.
Don't tell Maw, but I picked up a pair of Sketcher's pink, ankle boots, vastly reduced in the sale! It was DH's fault, the man who never shops dragged me into the Sketchers' shop to look at trainers. grin

DH is planning to prune the trees and I shall need to supervise, just in case he falls off the ladder! ? I cannot convince him that he is too old to start a career as as a tree surgeon. sad. My heart is in my mouth, every time he goes up that ladder.

I hope all goes well for your appointment today Dragonfly and best wishes to your husband, Pantglas.
Always thinking of the Gillybobs. flowers and hugs for those who need them.

Marydoll Thu 06-Feb-20 08:09:26

It wasn't the other team who used to hit us round the ankles with a hockey stick, it was our scary PE teacher, she terrified the life out of me!
Changed days!
