Good Morning everyone from Severnside where it is dark and wet.

Staying in today and will do some pottering and sorting.

Hope you all have a good day and stay safe ?

NanKate Sat 15-Feb-20 07:10:11

Morning Mick and All.

The calm before the storm in South Bucks. Feel concerned for those who live in the West and North who are in for a battering. Stay safe Mick

Intend staying in for the day and catching up with boring paperwork.

NanKate Sat 15-Feb-20 07:11:45

Also morning to Beechnut. I shall look up where Severnside is, as my geography is a bit naff. I wonder if it is on the Severn river. I’m off to Google.

Morning all from a dry but dark north Wales where DH has woken me up with his noisy crutches clattering around in the bathroom!

Not a lot planned for today but might look at flights to Spain next month - need a bit of sunshine to cheer me up! And it will get himself motivated to walk more each day!

Have a safe weekend in spite of Dennis, everyone x

Scentia Sat 15-Feb-20 07:23:35

Good Morning all from East Staffordshire. Looks wet out there but off to take the doggie for a walk soon.
Woken at 6.30 by my DGS who has the mother of all coughs. He is a bit poorly and his mum didn’t want me to have him last night ‘in case he wakes me up!’ I don’t know how she thinks I managed for 3 years until she slept through the night?
DGS has been taught to throw by his grandad last night and is chucking everything this morning!!
Hope no one gets blown away this weekend. Take care all.

Good Morning from Oxfordshire.
Think it will be a stay at home kind of day for me.
Will do a food shop shortly and then come back and put my PJs on!
Hope everyone stays safe and best wishes to all.

Morning Mick, morning All. Windy and the rain is just beginning in our corner of Somerset. Coastal and fluvial flood warnings in place. No plans to venture out, will do some catching up. Hope Saturday is kind to everyone, stay safe.

Mommawolf Sat 15-Feb-20 07:51:56

Goodmorning all from a soggy Norfolk, lots of rain overnight but has stopped at the moment. My kitchen looks like a transport café, husband, 3sons, son in law and a grandson eating a full english fried breakfast before tackling the drainage problem in the alpaca enclosure. My daughter has provided the largest teapot I have ever seen. We have promised them homemade farmhouse soup for lunch, the bread maker is loaded for the rolls and veg waiting in basket to be prepped. One daughter in law and my sister have already started. The other two daughters in law are animal feeding. There is noise, laughter and chaos and crazy as it may sound I am loving every minute of it. Hope you all keep safe when Dennis hits have a good day everyone.

Morning all from a (currently!!) fairly calm North Leicestershire.

DS2 is coming for brunch before the football on TV and to catch up with his cousin who is still with us.

We are looking forward to the rain testing the roof repair as the plasterer is coming next week to sort out the hall ceiling - if it has worked.

Take care in the wind and rain.

Curlywhirly Sat 15-Feb-20 08:03:02

Good morning all. Mommawolf can I come and live at your house? Sounds like you are having a perfect family morning, the more the merrier, and utter bedlam! Priceless. Also, as an animal lover, I would be in heaven with all your animals, especially the alpacas and the dogs ?

Take care everyone, hope Dennis doesn't cause too much trouble.

NfkDumpling Sat 15-Feb-20 08:05:56

Morning All

Very wet and soggy at the top of my Norfolk hill too Momma. Enjoy your day, it sounds wonderful!

A quiet day in store for us. Hopefully!

Nannytopsy Sat 15-Feb-20 08:13:45

Good morning Mick and all his followers.
It is a bit wet outside although not raining right now, with some wind. Worse to come I fear.
Mommawolf that sounds wonderful!
We have made a push on a bit more unpacking and on the garden this week, so feeling a tiny bit smug. Rugby on TV this afternoon I expect.
I hope today is kind to you all!

gillybob Sat 15-Feb-20 08:20:11

Good morning from the NE coast where we have the calm before the storm as severe weather warnings are in place for later today .

I always enjoy your posts Mommawolf but have to say that today’s post was one of the best yet. A lovely post full of love and a family pulling together . Pure joy and I can almost smell that bacon. We will all be over for the homemade bread and soup later so best keep that bread maker fired up smile

A very busy day yesterday with work, childcare and the usual shopping trip for my dad . I ended up getting nothing at all so will have to try and get out today at some point .

I do hope the roof repair stands up to the next hammering kittylester fingers crossed ?

Have a good Saturday everyone. Stay safe and warm .

Love Gillybob xx

Good Morning from a quiet Fife at the moment. Expecting like everyone else the weather to change. Mommawolf sounds fun and very family friendly smile. Today is my birthday so have opened all my lovely cards and spending my day with our DD and DGS's - so looking forward to it. I hope everyone is safe after our expected storm this weekend. Take care.

BlueSapphire Sat 15-Feb-20 08:26:08

Good morning everyone from a wet and windy Northampton. The newspaper has just come, so looking forward to tackling the cryptic crossword.

I was very pleased with my visit to the hairdressers yesterday, so much so that I gave a tip for the first time! I then treated myself to lunch out at the nice family pub over the road, just fish and chips and a glass of white wine for Valentine's Day. Remembered all the good times that DH and I had shared.

Nothing planned for today so I think I shall invite myself to Mommawolf's as well - it sounds lovely!
Keep safe everyone.

Grammaretto Sat 15-Feb-20 08:31:20

Good morning all from the Scottish Borders. No storm here. Yet?
Usual Saturday for me. Baking etc.
Last night's concert is still playing in my head. The final piece was Ravel's Bolero it always brings back memories of Torvill and Dean though this was the entire royal scottish national orchestra.
Wish you all a peaceful, painfree weekend.

Mommawolf Sat 15-Feb-20 08:31:48

Good morning Michael and all GNs. Damp but not too bad in South Yorkshire at the mo. I am not in any hurry to get moving this morning. DH is going to bottle our sloe gin today and I am going to stand and annoy him with my good advice!?. Have a good day folks.

Greyduster Sat 15-Feb-20 08:37:15

Happy birthday Brunette10??!

Chewbacca Sat 15-Feb-20 08:37:31

Good Morning everyone from a dark, wet Cheshire. This might be the day I dig out that patchwork I've been meaning to work on for the past 3 years; don't want to go out if I can avoid it.

Happy Birthday Brunette10

EllanVannin Sat 15-Feb-20 08:39:37

Good Morning All x
Slightly breezy, darkish but mild----shades of things to come sad
Possibly a visit from D and GGC at some point so I'll whip up a quick fruit cake/loaf.
No shopping needed so I'll be staying out of the weather.

I feel so sorry for those who are flooded and expecting yet more. I couldn't cope with that at all, never knowing when/if it'll happen, poor things.
Although very near the coast where I am we're on a hill/slope so heavy rain just runs downwards and continues into drains along the way.

Stay safe everyone and I hope you don't suffer too much whatever the day throws at us. Thoughts to those who aren't too well. xx

Good morning from a damp, breezy Colchester. Another indoors weekend getting bits and bobs done.
