Morning Mick, morning all.

It seems quite calm in North Leicestershire but we are expecting hail.

We have the plasterer coming this morning to do a small repair in the lounge ready for the decorator.

Hoping everyone has a good day.

Good Morning Mick and all who follow. It’s getting light on Severnside and it’s damp. I guess it will be for a while.

A day of pottering and u3a for me.

Have a good day everyone ?

Good Morning all from East Staffordshire. Weather looks dry not sure if it’s cold as I haven’t put the bins out yet.
Normal work day for me today.
Enjoyed our tea at DD’s last night and I got to bath DGS and put him to bed. He is such a happy boy?
Hope everyone has the best day possible today.

Morning Mick and All.

Expecting more rain here in South Bucks but nothing to be compared with the flooding in other parts of the country.

Just a normal shopping morning, however our local Sainsbury’s are modernising, improving etc which really means us customers will be moaning especially as their plan is to rip out some of the checkouts and replace them with self-service, which I know won’t suit some customers.

Good morning Mick and everyone. Yesterday was so dreadful with very heavy rain in Cheshire and the wind was howling again. I hope it's calmer and dryer today. I'm meeting ex colleagues in Liverpool for lunch and that's always fun. I consider myself very privileged that the youngsters in their 40s and 50s invite me to join them! I'm going early to do some shopping. First a walk in the woods at 9.00.

I don't mind the self-service checkouts if I've only got a few things, but for a 'big shop' it's not practical. I'm convinced the Co-op doesn't like people to buy a lot as I have to ask for them to open a bigger check-out.

Warm wishes to all struggling with illness or sadness. Special wishes to the gillybobs - almost there! Glad things went so beautifully yesterday Luckygirl - take a rest now.

Good morning all from the Scottish Borders. More rain in the night. I was woken by a drip drip drip on a table. The roofer is booked but can't give a date for repairs yet.
Farewell dinner tonight for our young volunteer who's returning to France.
Hope the sick list is shrinking and that the rain would stop.

Good Morning from a very unsettled Fife, it's raining and still windy. I know we are a lot better off than others though flowers. Had good catch up yesterday over lunch with my Uncle. Today is a shopping today, by the look of things it will be a quiet day once shopping is done. This weather always makes me want to stay indoors. Hope Gillybobs are getting there. Luckygirl - thinking of you flowers.

Good morning everyone from South Manchester where it’s just light. Brought my cuppa back to bed.

I’m off to the GP surgery in a couple of hours for the results of my blood tests. The receptionist rang a fortnight ago and said the doctor wanted to see me ‘as routine’. Wondering if it’s my cholesterol? I will get a hot takeout coffee from our independent cafe downstairs and walk through the park. It’s only a 15 minute walk so it’ll do me good there then back.

No particular plans. Might go to the cinema in Manchester Deansgate this afternoon to see ‘Parasite’. I’ve fancied it for a few weeks and since then it won best film at the Oscars. Maw saw it recently and gave it a great review too.

Thinking of all those who are under par. x

Hope Thursday is good to us all whether we have plans or none. x

Good Morning from a grey and dull Black Country. Looks like rain is forecast here today too.

Had a lovely time ice-skating with DD and girls yesterday. Back at their house in the afternoon, spent a pleasant half an hour watching the Blue Tits and Robins on their bird feeder.

Today, I am off to Lichfield to meet up with DS and my other two DGD's for lunch. Mum is coming too. Elder one may not turn up, as she is 15 and studying hard for GCSE's in the summer.

We have a leak now in our spare bedroom Grammaretto it happened 3 years ago, and seemed like the roofer had sorted it, but it is back again!

Wishing you all a good day

Good morning from Cheshire. Quiet day today, so will have a mooch around the shops. We are going to a wedding in April and I am struggling to find an outfit; two of my favourite shops have just disappeared from the high street - Karen Millen and Coast - such a shame, for a special occassion they were my go to shops; you can still buy their clothes online, not ideal for me as I am not a standard size (I'm tiny, only 5') so I often have to try on loads of outfits before I find one to suit.

When I came home yesterday from my morning working in a charity shop I could hear noises coming from my bedroom; a bird had flown in through the opened window and was frantically trying to escape. The poor thing was petrified and there was bird poo all over the windowsill! I opened the large window and it finally escaped. What worried me was wondering how long it had been there, and had the dog scared it even more ? or had the dog been scared (she's a right wussy!).

Good Morning Mick and all.
Wet overnight and there is a yellow warning for more rain for S Wales today. The worst news for already saturated ground and flooded areas.
I have a hospital appointment this morning.
Hope everyone will have a good day.

Curlywhirly Thu 20-Feb-20 07:33:11

Sorry, forgot to wish everyone a good day!

Good Morning from a bright Oxfordshire.
I don't think it will last though as we have heavy rain forecast from 9am.
Just the usual work day for me but it goes quickly as Thursday is my busiest day. It is half term so I would rather be at home with
daughters and grandchildren.
Best wishes to all smile

brook2704 Thu 20-Feb-20 07:41:46

Good morning to all on GN ! it’s another wet cold day in the north of Scotland
Hopefully I’ll be off to a nice easy class at the gym later then coffee and catch up with a friend.
Hope everyone has the best possible day - enjoy ?

Back again to rant if I may, just feeding critters when heard awful screaming. Rushed to field to find smiler the goat had a young couple trapped against a hedge. Seems they had spent the night camping in the bottom meadow and were looking for water. Poor girl was terrified we gave them tea and some breakfast and DH explained gently that there is no open access to working farmland. He is now hunting through our insurance papers to see how we stand if someone is hurt on our land. This oftan happens in the summer months even though we have no access signs posted everywhere. Sorry to rant. I don't want someone getting hurt.

GrannyGravy13 Thu 20-Feb-20 07:44:38

Good morning all from a dull and damp Northampton.
Had a lovely time last night with DD at our wine tasting; we tried five different wines which were all very good. DD stayed over and she is now getting ready to go to work. Rather her than me!
Nothing planned for today, except a Sainsburys delivery after lunch, so just going to take it easy, will probably read and just potter.
Hope all have the best day they can.
