Good Morning Everyone,

Today, small shop then see how day goes , may take a bus ride unsure at the moment or watch cycling on TV this morning.

Bellasnana Fri 28-Feb-20 06:44:03

Good morning from Rome where the sun is shining and it looks like it will be a nice day.

DD3 and I have had a lovely few days in Italy, we fly back to Malta this evening so still have the day to do a bit of sightseeing. Only downside is a massive blister on the ball of my foot which is extremely painful and making walking rather difficult.

Wishing everyone a good day, especially those of you who have troubles. sunshine

Grammaretto Fri 28-Feb-20 06:55:26

Good morning all from the Scottish Borders. Most of the snow has melted now but what's left has frozen so it'll be treacherous on the pavements.
Yoga this morning.
The joiner is coming at 8.30 to put up new curtain rails. I had better get up.
Have a good day everyone.

Urmstongran Fri 28-Feb-20 06:56:36

Morning Mick and Bellasnonna and all to follow. It’s dry here in South Manchester too. Kettle’s on and Himself is snoozing.

I’m meeting two of my friends from book club for lunch + wine today. It may well stretch into the afternoon!

Thinking of dragonfly gillybob and Marydoll today.

Oh and Molly the new border collie puppy! When does she start her training Mommawolf - does she just copy the older dog?

Hope Friday is good to us all whether we have plans or none. x

Urmstongran Fri 28-Feb-20 06:57:10

X posts morning tonyou Grammaretto!

Brunette10 Fri 28-Feb-20 07:05:15

Good Morning to all and to those who follow. A tad frosty here in Fife and no wind. Looks quite peaceful for the moment. Have DGS's today however DGS1 has been very sick with the 'sick bug' so won't be going to nursery. He wasn't well at all yesterday so here's hoping he's brighter today. Friday again, just don't know where the week goes. Thinking of everyone with ailments, worries and anxieties, it's never easy. Hope today is good for everyone

Beechnut Fri 28-Feb-20 07:06:18

Good Morning everyone. It’s wet this morning with more to come over the weekend.

Yesterday was a craft day and was very enjoyable. Afterwards I went to visit an old friend.

Shopping to be done at some point today and that’s about it.

Hope you all have a good day ?

nonnasusie Fri 28-Feb-20 07:14:32

Good morning from a grey and damp Cassino. I hope the sun in Rome reaches us soon. Shopping today but not much else planned.
I hope all who are under the weather for one reason or another feel better soon.

Gingster Fri 28-Feb-20 07:16:30

Good morning all.very cold today and the forecast isn’t good. Rambling today with a group of 12 pals. I think we will get soaked but hey ho ! Might have to cut the walk short and head straight to the pub for drinks before our lunch. Daffs are coming out at last in our garden and my amaryllis is about to bloom. Had it for Xmas , so it’s taken its time growing. Thoughts to all and have a gentle day.

Curlywhirly Fri 28-Feb-20 07:17:52

Good morming from a surprisingly dry Cheshire. Am off on a spa day today with my friend - it was a Christmas gift from Himself - a treatment (I have chosen a back massage) and then a meal. So a nice relaxing day for me! Hope Marydoll, the Gillybobs and Dragonfly and all the others who are struggling, have a better day today. Take care.

Marydoll Fri 28-Feb-20 07:26:04

Good morning all from a very cold Glasgow, its 3°, but feels so much colder.

Not venturing out today, as I have now a hacking cough, (where on earth has that come from?), so I will try and catch up on bits and pieces today. I still haven't sorted the coatigan! grin

We have DGD for an extra visit today, to let her mum and dad go out for dinner. For the first time ever, I have said she cannot have a sleepover, I don't think I can manage it. I feel I'm a terrible gran, as she was quite upset when I told her. sad.
DH will take her home tonight to her own house and pick up her parents from the station on the way.

Dragonfly, I was so sorry to read in the Kitchen that your chemo has caused even more problems, mine pale into insignificance compared to yours.
Hoping that Gilly and Mr G have a better day today.
Scentia, it sounded as if you had a positive visit with your GP yesterday.
I know I will have forgotten someone, so sending hugs to all the sick bay patients and those with worries. flowers.

Auntieflo, I made chelsea buns using the hot cross bun yesterday, with great success. My Kitchen Aid has earned it's money over and over again. Just married and skint, I used to do it all by hand, it took ages, now I just throw all the ingredients in the bowl.
I roped DH in to do the rolling of the dough, as my feeble efforts weren't having much impact on things! I made 20, I would have sent you all one, but there are none left! My children could smell them as they came in the door, so they all left with goodie bags.

Have the best day you can, goodmorningers.

dragonfly46 Fri 28-Feb-20 07:27:19

Good morning from a dry Leicestershire.

Penultimate chemo today. I may also have a scan as the oncology suspects I may have a clot on the lung. Apparently it is quite common.
DH’s blood letting and the trips on the bus worked well yesterday and he even had time to visit the oncologist with me first as he saw me early.

Good wishes to * Marydoll* and Gilly.

Marydoll Fri 28-Feb-20 07:28:29

Bellasnana, I meant to say I'm so envious of you being in Rome. It's my favourite place to be.
That's a pity about your foot, just use the buses to get about or sit and people watch, my favourite pastime! smile.

kittylester Fri 28-Feb-20 07:37:58

Morning all from a dry North Leicestershire.

Lots of bitting and bobbing today. I have to collect my medication, change a couple of sweaters, ring the decorator with our final colour choices for the lounge shock and try to sort out the spare bedroom.

Thinking of everyone with issues of any sort especially Marydoll, gilly and dragonfly.

Mommawolf Fri 28-Feb-20 07:38:10

Goodmorning all from a cold and frosty norfolk, very slippery outside. Just walked the big dogs through the orchard there are buds on the plum trees, the whole garden is just waiting for some warmth. Molly will begin her training at about six months URMSTONGRAN she will be introduced to the livestock slowly then we like to start with sheep in an enclosure to judge her speed she will learn basic commands by watching the other dogs then run with them. It takes a while as they get tired quickly at first. When she is fast enough to outrun the sheep she can be worked with the flock with Nana and Maggie showing her the ropes. Every dog is different they learn at their own pace. Hope you all have a good day and that all who are suffering find some relief today. Spring must be out there somewhere.

cornergran Fri 28-Feb-20 07:49:35

Morning Mick, morning All from a grey and very wet corner of Somerset, we’ve wild weather to come for a few days again. Some envy here of a cold and frosty start to the day, less envy of the slippery surfaces. Admin and a quick trip for a basic food shop for me today. Take care of yourselves dragonfly and marydoll, thinking of gilly and her husband. A wish for a better day for anyone with struggles and a hope Friday will be kind to us all.

GrannySomerset Fri 28-Feb-20 07:54:15

Grey and damp in our part of North Somerset but have a nicely social day to look forward to. Coffee with friends, out to tea and then DS and fiancée overnight with wedding plans to discuss. A very good way to celebrate a birthday.

So sorry to read of the continuing struggles of Marydoll and Dragonfly and hoping for better news from Gillybob when she checks in. Best wishes to them and everyone dealing with poor health and other worries. At least this most miserable of months is almost over.

Must get showered and ready for the man coming to service the boiler or he will get an unpleasant shock!

NannyJan53 Fri 28-Feb-20 07:55:41

Good morning from a very rainy Black Country!

I am not going on my Friday morning health walk, so will go to the gym instead. Then housework, and phone my friend to see if she would like to go out to lunch. We have known each other since we were 18, and now live less than 10 minutes walk from each other.

Homemade curry tonight.

Best wishes to gilly Dragonfly Marydoll and anyone feeling down or struggling with health issues.

Scentia Fri 28-Feb-20 08:02:02

Good Morning all from East Staffordshire, a lovely fresh morning out there, rain has just arrived though at the end of my walk.
Thanks Marydoll you always remember to mention everyone.
I have had a great walk this morning an hour and a half which I couldn’t have managed yesterday. Just shows what a bit of positive mindfulness can do to me!
I was thinking about Mr & Mrs Gilly on my walk and Dragonfly and Marydoll thinking that I haven’t really got much to complain about.xx
I do hope that we can all have the best day possible today. Off for a birthday lunch with my sister she is 59 today and looks so much younger she is so beautiful❤️

DoraMarr Fri 28-Feb-20 08:04:18

Good morning Micheal and everyone. It’s cold, grey and wet here in Birmingham, but no snow or ice. I’m having a quiet-ish day today after a rather unpleasant day yesterday with a recurrence of stomach problems. My daughter will bring my grandson here to play while she and his baby sister go for lunch with a friend. I was planning to collect my grandaughter from nursery this afternoon and bring her back for a sleepover, but will have to see how the day goes. Her mother is recovering from Hand, Foot and Mouth disease, so she won’t be gong out this evening as planned. No, marydoll, you are not a terrible grannie, you must put your own health first, and then there will be lots more sleepovers with your grandaughter. It seems a lot of us are under the weather, so let’s keep warm and busy and have the best day we can.

DoraMarr Fri 28-Feb-20 08:05:11

Forgot to say, I hope the gillybobs had a better night.

Nannytopsy Fri 28-Feb-20 08:06:11

Good morning Mick and all his followers. Grey but dry in Suffolk and there are definite signs of Spring. There is masses of blackthorn blossom, so I am
Making mental notes for sloe picking after the Summer!
Ironing today and errands before we pop down to London tomorrow for a surprise birthday lunch for a good friend.
Hope your treatment isn’t too difficult Dragonfly - you are nearly there. ?

Oopsadaisy3 Fri 28-Feb-20 08:08:38

Good morning everyone, off to collect car from it’s service and MOT, when we went up to the garage yesterday it was foggy and snowing, hopefully it’s just raining today.
Starting to wonder what pills we should take for our holiday in a couple of weeks, will our GP allow us to have extra in case we have to be isolated, either whilst on holiday or upon our return ?
children have asked us to cancel, we will decide closer to the date, we both have Asthma and are a bit wheezy at the moment.
Hope everyone has a good day and can stay dry and warm.

Oopsadaisy3 Fri 28-Feb-20 08:11:54

Nannytopsy I picked masses of sloes last year, I went back yesterday and all of the bushes have been ripped out. They were around the edge of the village playing field and it’s so overrun with rabbits ( I counted 35 on Monday morning) that they have decided to clear the undergrowth to try to send them somewhere else.
So no sloes this year, it’s a shame as the bushes were well over 70 years old.

Pantglas2 Fri 28-Feb-20 08:12:11

Morning all from a dry north Wales but it threatens rain later so good job I did two lots of washing yesterday- it’s a battle of wills, me against weather!

I’m having a kitchen clear out/clean up today - determined to get rid of ramekins, bowls, etc that are just cluttering up my small kitchen. Surplus items will be hawked around family, friends and charity shops!

Sorry to hear that you and your husband are both having tough times healthwise dragonfly - I know it’s hard with just one so best wishes for good results all round x. Same to gillybobs who are still waiting for that light at the end of the tunnel x. And flowers to everyone in the sick bay - let’s hope there’s an improvement over the weekend x
