Mum used to be superstitious and would never change her (everlasting) calendar, leaving it at Thursday until Saturday.

Good morning everyone. Mick, what a great day you had yesterday! I had no idea Petula Clark was still on the go - how wonderful. It's a glorious day on the Angus coast - we need as much sunshine as possible to lighten this global darkness! I did think Boris was unnecessarily brutal saying that we would all lose loved one's before their time - suspecting deep down that that might be the case is one thing, but to be told that so starkly ......? My tai chi class numbers were down a bit this week but we'll keep going until told otherwise - the type of gentle, whole body exercise we do is said to boost the immune system, as well of course as boosting morale. Kalu, so sorry to hear of your disappointment - but who knows, perhaps your DD and SiL will manage to get last minute flights if this has all cleared up by the summer? ??. Have the best day you can everyone - we seem to be a resilient bunch x

I’m so sorry your DD and SiL are no longer able to visit from Australia Kalu you must be so disappointed . I hope the visit will be rescheduled as soon as it’s safe to travel again .

Good morning all from a bright, dry Cheshire. So glad the concert has been cancelled Gillybob you haven't lost out after all, a bit of good luck at last! Love Evie's wallpaper, very girly. Am about to tackle some gardening whilst it's a dry day, hope it's not too cold though. Off out tonight with 6 of my ex-work colleagues; we are all very close, having known each other for 30 + years, so looking forward to a good chinwag. Happy Birthday MawB hope you have a lovely day. I was just so looking forward to a cuddle gilly but can’t dwell on it and do the usual keep on keeping on.

Now on to my favourite hobby, decor. What a sweet choice of wallpaper with lots for Evie to look at what’s going on. I’m sure she will love it. The finished result will also give you a lift too gilly when you see that little face light up with her big girl’s bedroom?

Sunny here and the engineer has just been to treat the boiler to some tlc. Autocorrect wants to change tlc to talc! He turned down his usual coffee; suc is keeping our distance. I have to go out to collect an order but otherwise have nothing social in the diary. I am trying not to say “cancel” but rather “reschedule” or “postpone” as psychologically it feels optimistic.

A late good morning from a sunny mid-Notts. I've had our shopping delivered this morning - expected to have loads of substitutions because of reported panic buying but pleased to report that sainsburys did very well as always. I have now got a bag ready to be collected for our local food bank. Hope we all have a pleasant Friday x

Morning (just) from sunny Gower. Have had a very lazy morning, any Friday the 13th is never particularly good for me since my mother died on a Friday 13th. Having said that it's brightened me up to know that someone has a birthday today so have a fabulous birthday MawB ?, .

Nothing particular planned for today, except I must actually do some chores around the house!!

I have just come back from the shops, trying to get the things I forgot yesterday.
ALDI had no eggs, or at least, the ones that were there, would have been good scrambled. So it was on to Tesco.
We have been advised to wear gloves when shopping, so I did.
All well and good, until I got to the self serve check outs.
The screens do not work if you use a gloved finger, so had to bare my digit to the germs!!!
Then it worked.
Perhaps we should take a little rubber 'dabber'.

Mr.GG and I have just come back from Sainsbury's (we needed Gin, Beer and wine) it was as if a plague of locusts had been through the shop. I felt so sorry for the staff, they had even sold out of some brands of beer , but wine was plentiful and they had the brand of gin that I like

I’m very sad, my lovely son-in-law has had his job offer withdrawn due to CVirus... so unfair, but I can understand why it has happened.
I’m wondering about our Queen/Adam Lambert 02 tickets in June now... if they’ve cancelled C2C it’s not looking good...
