Lost money due to coronovirus and a holiday we had. Very happy and lucky to have a roof over our heads. Decided to limit use of electricity where possible as interest rates continue to be so low etc etc. Thinking of family and friends who might end up without a job so decided rather than just reading and not joining in it's actually time to cut right back and it's time to switch off turn to books etc and save money where we can. Feeling worried and watching the news and various tv programmes and reading chat is not helping at all. sad

Sadly so many people will either lose their jobs or be laid off for however long it take.
Financial hardship or even ruin will affect many.
My family are in this group.
How the benefits system will cope is scary.

Gd and her fiance are both musicians and had concerts booked in until May---all have been cancelled without any payment. Dd is a self employed teacher---as soon as the schools close she will have no income. I count my blessings.

We also are very worried for family and friends and have already started sharing what we have while distancing in an effort to self isolate sibce our travels. The long term that has me worrying for everyone. We can't even support small business as it's no longer an option because of our own finances taking another blow as well as not going to places. So electricity is my next thought to restrict use of as every penny counts. I shall miss the internet but hopefully enjoy reading. Could do with some of the jigsaw puzzles we gave to charity shops now.
