A lovely thing has happened in our village

We went for our allowed walk in the village today.....at least 2m from other people although we saw very few. Some of the local children have made posters and stuck them up all over the place. They all have happy pictures and words on them. They made everyone who saw them smile. Later I had a long distance chat with a neighbour who I've only ever waved to as she drove to work. Was nice to get to know her at last. This lockdown may have an upside if it means we get to know and chat to our neighbours more. The funniest thing was that because we were having to speak louder to cover the distance more people felt able to join in the conversation. I've never chatted to so many of my neighbours at one time nor for so long.

That’s so uplifting vq! I’d like to think that some of the good that may come out of this will continue. One can hope!

How lovely VQ !!!! Looks like my neighbours are in hiding....most are in their 60s and 70s but I can see the young family opposite, are out in their front garden.

We are putting Teddy Bears in our window, in theory families on their walk will try to find all of the Teddy’s we have a fairly large ‘older person’ population, but there are some children and the playground in the park has been padlocked which is a shame.
My 2 elderly neighbours have had a stream of family members visiting them again today........... for some life goes on as usual.
