So many dilemmas to concern us?
Which should I address first?
Truly, a dilemma.

Greymar Tue 24-Mar-20 22:33:43

number 6

merlotgran Tue 24-Mar-20 22:42:27

The number you first though of.

merlotgran Tue 24-Mar-20 22:42:51

thought.

Right each dilemma down on a piece of paper, fold each piece in half, put them all in a hat and pick them out one at a time. Address each one in the sequence you drew it out. Simples!

MissAdventure Tue 24-Mar-20 23:00:59

Or, burn the hat. smile

When in doubt use mathematical statistics, the law of total probability or just logic. I usually find that helps.

Callistemon Tue 24-Mar-20 23:19:18

But, if still in a dilemma I use
IP dip dip, my blue ship, sails on the water like a cup and saucer. Ip dip dip
You are IT!

It usually works

Have another g and t that usually focuses the mind or switch on Loose Women and decide to postpone all this decision making until tomorrow when all will become clear.

MissAdventure Tue 24-Mar-20 23:29:51

That seems a very reasoned, analytical method of dealing with dilemmas.

This thread just gave me and DH a much needed laugh!

I thought this was going to be a spelling thread - dilemma/ dilemna style.

I seem to remember there isn't a correct answer to that, so that could keep us going for a while

mimismo Wed 25-Mar-20 11:19:51

Toss a coin then choose the other - easy!

Tanjamaltija Wed 25-Mar-20 11:33:22

Write 'dilemma' on a new document on Word. Save document as Dilemma. Close document. Open Documents. Right Click the file called Dilemma and select Delete. Computer asks "Do you want to delete dilemma?" Click yes. Done. It works for chores, too.

HappyGrandmother Wed 25-Mar-20 11:36:01

Not sure. I don't have any dilemmas. Just stay home unless you really HAVE to go out. No family/friend visits to or from you house.

Aepgirl Wed 25-Mar-20 11:46:05

Dilemma - housework or gardening? I don’t enjoy either, but at least it’s nice weather to be outside pretending to weed.

Gaga1950 Wed 25-Mar-20 12:04:11

Dilemma - to post or not to post - procrastination rules! (Yes I’ve been a lurker for some time)
From another post MawB a lovely image of you in from of you bookcase, but I couldn’t make out any of the titles. You can always lean so much about a person from the books they read. Gransnetters what have you read recently?

Gaga1950 Wed 25-Mar-20 12:09:30

Obviously everyone is at home now separated from their grandchildren - what has anyone been doing to try and help with their entertainment/ education from a distance. I’m running out of ideas having sent puzzle books, parlour games, and packets of sunflower and nasturtiums seeds. Ideas please!

Instead of focusing on dilemmas why not focus on positives. I've woken up to a wonderful day so might go on a walk (in our population free country lanes), my food order arrived so that's ready to put away, my home-made soup is on ready for lunch, I've got all my arts and crafts stuff out ready to go, the garden is beckoning some attention - phew - I guess I have created a dilemma for myself as to what to do first.

Gaga1950 Wed 25-Mar-20 12:12:21

Sorry that obviously shouldn’t have gone there - I thought it was starting a new chain of thought - help!

MissAdventure Wed 25-Mar-20 12:22:29

Don't worry, just start a new thread.
We're not allowed to edit our own posts smile

Madmaggie Wed 25-Mar-20 12:31:49

Looks like you're stockpiling dilemmas - is that allowed confused?????

MissAdventure Wed 25-Mar-20 12:36:24

Well, I'm going to make sure I get my share, before there's a dilemma shortage.

Disgruntled Wed 25-Mar-20 12:36:55

Toss a coin. When it falls, you will either feel relieved or disappointed. If you feel disappointed - do the opposite. smile

Callistemon Wed 25-Mar-20 12:37:18

Tanjamaltija grin

Will it work for 'dust' too?
